The Oberzwieselau golf course is located in a hilly park landscape about 20 kilometres away. Bavarian Forest National Park: The Bavarian Forest National Park is only 25 kilometres away. It was opened in 1970 as the first national park in Germany and protects a unique forest and low mountain range landscape on the border with the Czech Republic. Expanded in 1997, the national park now covers an area of over 24,000 hectares. Almost the entire area of the national park is covered by extensive forests, which today are uniquely left to develop largely uninfluenced by man.
