Value for money, our Villa represents one of best properties in the area with 5 bedrooms and being able to sleep up to 9. 5star plus accommodation is also available in the area at up to 2-3 times our rental rates. Our advert describes exactly what our villa is like with no surprises. There is a brand new fully fitted summer kitchen where most people prefer to eat Al Fresco. The indoor kitchen is fully functional.The oven and hob are due to be updated in Autumn 2009. The downstairs bathroom was redecorated this spring 2009 using Farrow and Ball paint.The fittings throughout the house ,although not necessarily this years models ,are all in perfect working order. The single track road with passing places is absolutely typical for this part of France and indeed for all rural areas. We have many guests who do walk to both nearby villages about 20-25 mins uphill and indeed this is what these particular guests where told when they asked before the rental. The entrance to our villa is steep but this is the first and only time it has been mentioned and is certainly not a problem for our Renault Estate. As far as leaving food in the cupboards, this is not done by the owners, as the property is always fully let in the summer months and is only dried and nonperishable goods left for the convenience of arriving guests who might not have had time to stock up !!!!!!!!!!!!! There are indeed many restaurants in the nearest surrounding villages ranging from basic to Michelin quality as well as further afield. Any problems that occur are dealt with on site by our local manageress who lives next door. I always encourage prospective or returning guests to ask any questions they may have before booking and will always give a frank and honest answer. Indeed this is what occurred on this occasion. Thank you for your feedback. We have taken on board the points we consider valid and have fully renovated the kitchen and upstairs bathroom to modern standards. The washing machine has been replaced, new Bosch fridge/freezer and DeLonghi coffee machine. We do not accept that the Villa was in anyway dirty but have shown this to our local manager so she is aware. As owners we spend 6 weeks from the beginning of September in residence and have NEVER arrived to find the house dirty or any problems at all with the pillows, mattresses or bed linen. If we did we would have acted immediately but have never had to. This is backed up by the fact that no other reviews have mentioned this. Merci pour votre avis. La machine à laver a été remplacée, nouveau réfrigérateur/congélateur Bosch et machine à café DeLonghi. Nous n'acceptons pas que la Villa soit de toute façon sale, mais nous l'avons montré à notre responsable local afin qu'elle soit au courant. En tant que propriétaires, nous passons 6 semaines à partir de début septembre dans la résidence et ne sommes JAMAIS arrivés pour trouver la maison sale ou aucun problème avec les oreillers, les matelas ou le linge de lit. Si nous l'avions fait, nous aurions agi immédiatement, mais nous n'avons jamais eu à le faire. Ceci est confirmé par le fait qu'aucune autre critique ne l'a mentionné.
