BORDE DE AGUAS - FRENTE AL AGUA! Waters Edge es una casa abierta y espaciosa de estilo tradicional del noroeste. Ubicada a las afueras de Friday Harbor en el lado este de la isla, esta casa tiene pisos de concreto con calefacción en el nivel principal que incluye la suite principal. La sala de estar tiene una chimenea de propano para un ambiente relajante mientras disfruta de las maravillosas vistas al Canal de San Juan, la Isla Amarilla y ve pasar el ferry. Unforgettable Stay with Stunning Views!We had a wonderful stay. The views are breathtaking, offering a genuinely peaceful setting to relax and unwind. A major highlight was spotting whales right from the property!The home features high-end appointments and thoughtful details throughout. Sometimes you stay somewhere so special you don’t want to tell anyone about it. Or maybe buy it. This was one of those places. The view was incredible. The house was beautifully maintained. Location was perfect. Quiet, but an easy drive to town. We can’t wait to return next year.

Stunning views, well equipped kitchen. Bed upstairs is open to rest of the house. Saw several deer here at the house. There is some dog barking next door, not after dark. Very comfortable house.

A beautiful setting and wonderful water view!! We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony every morning, afternoon and evening till sunset.Wonderful window views all around. Well kept & clean house. Just close enough & far enough from town.The master bedroom bed was lumpy and we kept rolling to the middle of the bed. My husband had to go sleep on the couch, in order for us both to get some sleep. It would be great if they upgraded this bed to a king to match the headboard and to make more couples comfortable.The plastic insert in the bottom of the master shower felt creaky and unstable. They should have tiled the bottom of the shower, the way the rest of the shower was tiled.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, we were very satisfied. The property is in great condition, beautiful inside and offers a beautiful view. The kitchen is well equipped. There were no maintenance issues. The only items that could use upgrading are the mattress in the Master bedroom, pillows and the towels. Improving these items would enhance the stay. I would highly encourage adding a good drip coffee maker and providing coffee filters. The lack of window coverings in the Master was problematic with the early sunrise. So bring a sleep mask for this property. The location was great, convenient to town. The property was clean. The management company responded quickly to our questions. We would give the property a 4.5. We would definitely lease from this company again.

Wonderful, quiet location. We visited in winter and loved the stay. The home was very clean, the kitchen was better equipped than any other rental we’ve stayed in. Plenty of towels and supplies. The managing company was very responsive. Check in was very simple. We would stay again.

Great stay!

What a beautiful home in a beautiful setting, very peaceful. The view was exceptional and the home had all of the essentials needed for a comfortable getaway. There was a lot of space for 3-4 people.

Super nice house, fantastically located with an amazing calmness over night and in the early morning. Kitchen is very nicely equipped, sounds like being home. The coffee machine could be improved.

Please be mindful that the 2nd bedroom is a loft above the kitchen. My only complaint is that we were not allowed to use the master bedroom closet so we had to hang our clothes in the front hall closet. We had a great time!!!

We are glad to hear your stay at Waters Edge was so enjoyed. The homeowner has the master closet designated for their own personal items, but as there is access to the hallway closet they believed that to be a fair trade. Sounds like it didn't detract from being able to enjoy all the wonderful aspects of Waters Edge, and we'd love to host you again!

Nice Location/Aged Property/Horrible Property Management

The property's location is out of town so you will need a car. Taxis on San Juan Island are unpredictable. The property needs a rehab/upgrade. There is one tv in the entire property which is the size of a PC monitor. San Juan Property Management is laughably incompetent. We rent houses all over the world and San Juan Property Management is the worst we have dealt with. Finally, for VRBO, why is it I agree with your terms and conditions, reserve a property (like this property) and THEN I receive San Juan Property's terms and conditions?

It’s a good thing our self-worth isn’t reliant upon your opinion, or we’d really be in trouble! We actually think we’re a pretty nice company of people, and we strive to provide our guests with a relaxing and comfortable experience while on San Juan Island. It seems your extreme disappointment in our company stemmed from a few pantry items you didn’t find in the rental house (per your email to us upon your checkout). We feel this review is an odd reaction, but who are we to judge if you are passionate about spices? Water’s Edge is a popular, clean, well-maintained, vacation rental home with a spectacular view of San Juan Channel. We wish you had enjoyed your time at this special place.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very unique property. Great location/views. Equiped like a high end home not like a rental. The home is well cared for and is large for a two bedroom. The closet in the master is reserved for the owner so the hanging storage is limited to the hall closet. The secondary bedroom is open to the kitchen and the two sided fireplace creates some privacy issues for the master. The TV arangement is less than ideal. That said I would rent it again without question. The house is special.

The homeowner and our management strive to provide a clean, well-equipped, and relaxing environment at Waters Edge, and we are so glad the house provided all that for you. We do know the TV is smaller than some guests prefer, the reason for this is that the homeowner wants the focus of the home to be the incredible views offered. We'd love to host you up there again!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay. Mom and Dad and 2 young adult sons. Only queen beds, so we brought a sleeping pad for one of the boys. This rental has a truly magical view of the water and neighboring islands - it was very relaxing to be out on the deck enjoying the view. The kitchen is well appointed, and the home is spotless. Be aware that there is not a lot of privacy in this rental. Sound carries, the loft bedroom is open to below, and there is only a screen over the two sided fireplace between the bedroom and the living room. The boys couldn’t sleep in, no matter how quietly we made coffee they heard us. WiFi was a little slow when all 4 of us were using it, but I did a video call while telling everyone else to stay off and it worked well. Bring a hair dryer if you need it; there is only one and it is missing a required diffuser so I couldn’t use it. (I’ll message the managers, I imagine they will get that fixed.) Overall an excellent stay, the view is better than the pictures and the home is lovely.

Stunning views and great location, with some missing details.

I came from Seattle with my partner & in-laws who were visiting from out of state and wanted to see the islands. The property location is supreme, just a five minute drive from Friday Harbor, making grocery shopping, exploring, & accessing the ferry effortless. The home is beautiful with jaw-dropping views of the Salish Sea; you could spend hours sitting on the deck watching the light change with the passing sun; on our first evening we even saw two humpback whales swimming by. Kitchen was spacious and well-stocked, and we appreciated the books and thoughtful touches throughout. My primary comments for improvement would be some thoughtful updates to sleeping accommodations. Both mattresses felt old, creaky, and misshapen after presumed years of use, and pillows were thin and flimsy. The wide windows that offer such beautiful views proved troublesome for sleeping during the northwest's long summer days, as darkness didn't settle until 10pm and we were all woken by the early summer sunrise pouring in at 5am with no blinds to help us fall back to sleep. As a result, all four of us slept poorly both nights of our stay. I would also recommend a larger tv with improved seating layout for visitors who may want to unwind and watch a movie together after a full day exploring the island. All in all, this is a beautiful property with incredible views in a fabulous location, but more care could be paid to physical comfort and details that consider visitor's experience in the space.

The view is exceptional! We even watched a pod of orcas swim by along with an eagle landing in a tree off the deck and sticking around while we had coffee. The sunrises and sunsets were a continually changing show of colors on the water and islands for hours and hours in the summer! We loved our stay!

The place was so wonderful we did not want to leave. The view was everything!! And the house itself was lovely. The house was spotless and beautifully decorated. Such a peaceful and gorgeous setting with all the big windows. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook the 3 nights we were there. Also, it's located just close enough to Friday Harbor to be convenient. Highly recommend!
