Houseboat “Marien” – An Exclusive Vacation on the Water at the Stralsund Marina

Welcome to the houseboat “Marien”—your extraordinary vacation home right on the water. The houseboat is securely moored in the marina near Stralsund and is not navigated. This allows you to enjoy the special feeling of living right on the water, combined with the peace, security, and privacy of a permanent berth.
From the terraces, you’ll enjoy a beautiful view across the harbor, of the Stralsund skyline, and toward Rügen and Parow. The spacious rooftop terrace, in particular, invites you to soak up the sun, relax, or wind down the evening with a glass of wine while gazing out at the water. The houseboat combines maritime charm with high-quality comfort and well-thought-out amenities—ideal for a special vacation by the sea.

Inside, you’ll find 43 m² of stylishly designed living space. The bright living area with an open kitchen forms the heart of the houseboat.

Large windows provide plenty of light and a direct view of the water. A cozy sofa—which can also be used as a sleeper sofa if needed—as well as a smart TV with Netflix, a JBL Bluetooth speaker, and unlimited Wi-Fi ensure comfort and entertainment.
The houseboat has
two bedrooms. One bedroom is equipped with a double bed (1.40 × 2 m), a large closet, and a safe. The second bedroom features a double bed (1.60 × 2 m) and a closet. In total, up to five people can stay comfortably, or six if the sofa bed is used.

The modern bathroom features a spacious shower. A special highlight is the private organic sauna, which turns your stay into a mini wellness getaway no matter the season. Thanks to air conditioning and gas heating, the houseboat can be used year-round.

The fully equipped kitchen offers everything you need for a relaxing vacation: a gas stove, a large refrigerator with a freezer compartment, a capsule coffee machine, a kettle, high-quality WMF pots and pans, Rösle cutlery, a smoothie maker, and wine and champagne glasses with a wine cooler. Cookbooks are also available for culinary inspiration.

Families are also well taken care of. A crib, high chair, children’s tableware, as well as books, games, and building blocks are provided so that even our youngest guests feel right at home.

Many little extras ensure a relaxing stay: a beach umbrella, shopping bags, ice packs, a yoga mat, neck pillows, sleep masks, earplugs, and flashlights.
Small dogs are also welcome.

The historic old town, an UNESCO World Heritage Site, captivates visitors with its impressive brick Gothic architecture, narrow alleys, cozy cafés, and lively harbor promenade. A special highlight is the Ozeaneum, one of Europe’s most famous aquariums. From Stralsund, you can also reach the island of Rügen in just a few minutes, with its long sandy beaches, famous chalk cliffs, and charming seaside resorts. Boat trips across the Strelasund and day trips to the car-free island of Hiddensee are also very popular.

The surrounding area also invites you to go on bike rides, take walks along the water, and explore nature in the Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft National Park—an ideal destination for anyone looking to combine relaxation, the sea, and a variety of excursions.
