Rustic Yurt hideaway

Staying in the Yurt was so peaceful, we loved sitting on the deck listening to the waterfall and enjoying the mountain air. If you love hearing rain on a tin roof you will hope it rains while you are at the yurt! We took a crock pot and electric burner and it helped us so much. The location gives you the feeling you are so far from for anything, but you are close to shopping and food in case you need something. Jewel, the local walker hound, is the queen of the mountain, she is so happy and loving, bringing her treats is a must. We recommend staying at the Drum Inn with Jewel. We had a great stay.

We knew there was a barking dog. We did not realize that she would bark at night, until we brought her inside. That information would have been helpful

Secluded Glamping Paradise!

Twisting backroads through the mountains to get there, which are beautiful but get there in daylight so you can familiarize yourself with the roads. Also, don’t bring too large of a vehicle or you may have difficulty getting turned around in the yurt drive. The yurt was tucked in to the hillside with a view of the small waterfall that you can hear from the yurt. We were greeted by the sweet Jewel! The yurt was very clean and the owners had everything on and ready for our arrival. It had everything we needed, all the way down to coffee and sugar on the kitchenette! It even had a full sized refrigerator. The water was a little tricky and the grill needs to be replaced, but those aren’t complaints! Absolutely loved this place and the owner was very responsive. Would definitely stay here again.

Relaxing

Amazing relaxing trip. The yurt had everything we needed. Beautiful fall views. The waterfall provided the perfect ambiance. We can’t wait to see Jewel again!

Jewel and the waterfall

I was greeted by the coolest dog ever named Jewel who ended up hanging out a lot. The waterfall was awesome. I enjoyed sitting by it and just listening or playing guitar and mandolin. Jewel would sit by me on the porch. The yurt was cozy and now I'm a fan of them now. The only problem was I hated to leave and I miss my new friend Jewel. I can see me trying to book this place again

Ok sleeping was hard

It was a really nice place and I loved the yurt but there was a dog sleeping under the porch and she barked all night long for two of the three nights.

Beautiful Peace

I needed some time alone in a peaceful place when I visited this property. It was exactly what I needed! Lovely property with the silly Jewel around to keep me company & make me laugh.

Just what we needed!!!

Everything went smoothly except me not checking the right e-mail for instructions on how to get there,but once found they were perfect. The stay there was great 👍. My wife and I loved everything, the yurt, the location, and of course Jewel the hound 🐕. Hope to rent again from you guys. excellent place to get away from it all.Two thumbs up!!

It was a very pleasant place to stay.

I stayed for 7 days and it was the most beautiful place I have stayed. What topped it all off was the dog “Jewel”. She stayed with me the whole time keeping the Critter’s away during my stay.

Awesome Stay

We loved our visit to the yurt! It was super clean and had everything we needed. We had small fires in the firepit in the evenings and Jewel kept us company the whole time. The waterfall is beautiful and a short walk, town is just a few minutes away, and you still have complete privacy. We will definitely be back.

Weekend retreat

I had a wonderful weekend.. the property is exactly what being described ..be able to see the waterfalls from your window it’s amazing ..the response from the owners for anything you need its very professional.. You are located in the middle of the mountains.. I can’t ask better place to be.. The experience to be inside of Yurt it’s amazing ..It is like a hotel room with everything you needed... I definitely will be back on another season Like summer ..

Beautiful yurt in privacy

The yurt itself was fantastic. Everything you could possibly need for a short, secluded getaway is included, and the property manager was fantastic, providing easy directions to get to a location that otherwise doesn't show up on GPS. Jewel the dog was a nice touch, but be aware that she basically lives with you on your trip. She was well-behaved and was a cuddling lover, but just be aware that she actually camps out for the night on the chair just outside of your yurt. There was no way to seemingly get her to go away when I wanted to be left alone to read a book. At 4 a.m., she started howling for some reason and didn't stop until after 6 a.m. on my final day. It made for a restless night for sure. It's a 5-star yurt and a 5-star experience, though minus one star for Jewel's 4 a.m. outburst, though it's no fault of her own. If you're a dog lover, you're going to love this experience.

Mountain Getaway in a Yurt

Amazing little secluded getaway!

This quaint little hideaway is close to town, property was really clean, owner’s directions and response time was great, the view from the back deck with waterfall was gorgeous, we hiked to the waterfall with Jewel in tow. My boyfriend and I wanted a weekend away from everything and this place was amazing with all the amenities one could ask for in such a sweet little secluded chalet. Well worth the price and we had our own little welcoming committee and farewell from the sweet little hound dog named Jewel. We are definitely interested in booking this location in the future.

Drum Inn getaway

The Drum Inn is a great escape. The property has all you need to relax and enjoy your remote adventure. Private, quiet, clean and with Jeff's directions easy to find. Lots to explore within a short drive.

I have been looking for something like this for a sometime. Anyone looking to tune out and turn off this is your place. Great walking areas and the cool extra benefit of Jewel, The Yurt Mascot! An outstanding vacation spot.

Beautiful!!

Cutest getaway place for couples!! My boyfriend and I stayed for the weekend and loved it. Waking up to the waterfall view was Awesome!! And the sweetest dog ( whom is the owner of the yurt ) was so friendly with my dog and myself. Would Deffinatly recommend!!

Unique stay in a secluded area!

My husband and I wanted a unique getaway in the mountains and the yurt really fit the bill. We spent two days hiking and were fairly close to portions of the Appalachian Trail and many others. The Yurt was clean and homey and had everything we needed for a comfortable get away. We even had our own welcoming comittee when we arrived in the form of a hound dog named Jewel. We became fast friends! I would definitely recommend the Yurt to anyone looking for an out of the norm getaway!

Most relaxing vacation ever!

Spent our 25th anniversary at this beautiful yurt! CNt imagine a place more comfortable and inviting! We will be sure to return - and will always look for Jewell the hound dog!
