Comfortable amenities for a relaxing stay

The "Schleiperle" accommodates up to 5 people across 2 floors and treats guests to an enchanting view over the fields, the Schlei, and the Baltic Sea. It’s a highlight for families with children, as there’s something for everyone here.

The spacious living and dining area, featuring a charming and fully equipped kitchen on the first floor and direct access to the garden, offers plenty of space for the whole family. On rainy days, the fireplace adds to the cozy atmosphere. Wi-Fi, several TVs, and a private parking space are included. Covered bike storage is available. Those who prefer to take a break from technology can enjoy a variety of board games and books on-site.

On the upper floor, in addition to the spacious bathroom with a shower, there are two bedrooms, each with a double bed (one 180x200, one 160x200, with separate mattresses). Bedroom II also has a single bed (90x200); both bedrooms are generously sized and offer plenty of space. An extra bed (70x180) for smaller children can be quickly set up in Bedroom I. A high chair and a crib are also available for the little ones. There is also a guest restroom on the first floor.

Laundry facilities are available at a public laundromat about 50 meters away. Towels and bed linens can easily be booked as add-ons.
Enjoy the peace and quiet and the ocean view from the two sun loungers or right in the beach chair on the rear sun deck—surrounded by a pond, nature, and grazing cows in the neighboring meadow. In the extraordinary garden, children can play and explore to their hearts’ content. Just a stone’s throw away is a large, well-maintained playground with a zip line, table tennis, basketball, and much more. Next to it is a well-maintained soccer field with fine grass for children and sports enthusiasts.
If you enjoy barbecuing, a gas grill is available in a small barbecue hut in the garden.

And if you do need to work on your laptop from time to time, you can use the writing desk tucked away in the bedroom.


Outdoor Activities & Recreation

The surrounding area offers plenty of activities. Whether it’s surfing or kitesurfing at the local surf school, playing boules at the dedicated court, extended SUP tours, swimming at the sandy beaches of the Schlei and the Baltic Sea on sunny summer days, or leisurely walks through the nature reserve around Maasholm. Or explore the region by bike. Our bike rental service in Kappeln, “Schleiräder,” will deliver bikes and e-bikes directly to your lodging.

Maasholm also has a lot to offer. The central hub is the fishing and recreational boat harbor right at the mouth of the Schlei. From here, you’ll find various regional restaurants and cafés, a bakery and grocery store, boutiques, and souvenir shops in the small, picturesque streets. Here you can get fresh fish straight from the boat, at a snack bar, or from a store. Life here unfolds with a fascinating Nordic sense of calm. Leave your car behind and take a boat from the harbor to Kappeln.
Larger shopping options are located about 5 km away, so you’ll be well-provided for. In addition, the region offers numerous attractions that will enrich your stay.
