Ubicado en casi 30 acres de propiedad frente al mar en la esquina suroeste de la isla Daufuskie, Jolly Shores (como es conocido por los lugareños) es el lugar perfecto tanto para eventos como para escapadas. En un entorno rústico y la propiedad de alquiler número uno en la isla Daufuskie, los huéspedes pueden pasar el día pescando en el muelle, relajándose bajo el sol, disfrutando de las comodidades del hotel (mesas de billar y ping-pong, cancha de voleibol, áreas para cocinar, etc.) o visitando atracciones cercanas (playas, restaurantes, monumentos históricos del Distrito).

Casey was amazing and SO helpful with our planning. We had boat issues and had to get a charter and he was so understanding and helpful with the whole process. He was always prompt to answer any questions and made tons of recommendations to help our stay be amazing!

This house was awesome for our jet ski trip as home base. Good location for water access and good for access to restaurants and shops on Daufuskie. House is set up with a huge game room where we spent all our time and bedrooms distant so when people go to bed, sound is not an issue.Everyone we encountered on the island was super friendly. We would absolutely stay here again.

The view is amazing. The house has so much potential but is very rustic (I guess you would say) With that being said, my family of 14 had a WONDERFUL time. I will stay there again.

We had multiple families converge on Daufuskie for the 4th of July. We rented multiple homes on Avenue of Oaks, but we really needed one with a dock. Jolly Shores was exactly what we were looking for. It was able to dock 3 of our boats. I can't speak highly enough of the property owner/manager, Casey. He was so responsive and helped us make the vacation as easy as possible, from arrival and departure to even after departure (contacting us about items left behind). The pictures are accurate. It is a unique property with beautiful natural surroundings. The interior was very clean and very well-appointed. The commercial ice maker was not advertised but is definately an assett of this property! Also, air conditioning worked great! Loved that Jolly Shores comes with TWO golf carts. Thanks for a great vacation experience!

We thoroughly enjoyed The property was exactly what we needed for a small wedding ceremony.Lots of room, the property is beautiful, and the views are amazingSpent most of our time in the screened in porch area, was a great place to set up for food and enjoy the pool tables, dartboard, and all the activities.Enjoyed the golf carts and being able to ride to town.There is a general store on the island a little pricey, but can be expected.The kitchen was fully stocked for all of our cooking needs.Beds were comfortable, and showers were hot.Host was very responsive to any issues and any question that we had, very helpful when it came to transportation and other things we may need while staying on the island.This is not the Ritz Carlton, but more like an old cabin in the woods with a beautiful water view.Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the time with our family and friends and memories we made.

This property is perfect for large families or groups. The kids really enjoyed the game room. Very good communication from host. I would definitely stay here again.

This place was perfect set up for our group of eight. Everyone got their own room. The central activities area had pool. Ping-pong, television, and bar.The kitchen is a little small, but there’s not much that you can’t makeHaving our own dock for our boat was awesome. How do you recommend this stay into experience real Island life this is not your typical hotel or resort. This is to experience the island like the locals do.

Perfect get away

Perfect way to get away on the Dafuskie! Thoroughly enjoyed the two golf carts that were available for going out to the local restaurants. We were a fun group of friends wanting to spend the weekend enjoying daufuskie and we did just that. Lots of sleeping Arrangements, nice place to hang out and play games! Provided a great getaway! We arrived with our own boats so the dock was greatly appreciated.

Excellent spot if you have a large group. The communal screened-in porch with a commercial ice machine, bar, pool table, etc. is perfect for entertaining. Huge property with a dock and plenty of room for outdoor activities. The owner was extremely helpful and took great care of us!

Great Getaway!

Jolly Shores was the perfect location for a group of friends to vacation! The second building was set up like a motel with each room having its own individual entrance and bathroom. Most of our time was spent on tbe screened in area with a bar, ping pong table, and pool table! It was perfect!

Bachelor party

House was awesome, location was great perfect for my bachelor party. Had 13 guys and we had 5 boats on the dock and made them fit, always a good time on Dafuskie never ran into a stranger and met a lot of cool locals. Golf carts were clutch to enjoy the island, we will most likely be planning a yearly mens trip back out there.

Great fun for our large group!

We always love Jolly Shores. The golf carts, pool table, ping pong table, big TV, ice machine (😍), and TWO refrigerators are really great additions! We love all the private bed and bath options, too. This location offers all the flexibility that we needed- including a dock for our boating friends who joined us! We cooked, laughed, sung, napped, and hung out together and enjoyed the best sunsets on the island!

old friends great time

we had a wonderful time with lifelong friends at this somewhat rustic and very laid back destination. don’t look for a four star resort, look for an escape from the rush of the world. we never even turned the tv on. we are planning our next stay

Hi Laura, As mentioned in our VRBO posting and a number of the reviews, Jolly Shores is a rustic setting. This means that while the property and all sheets/towels/etc. are professionally cleaned at every checkout, we might have some leaves blow in on the outdoor screened in area, some sand that gets caught on the base boards, and other items that our mostly repeat-guests consider trivial. It is clear that you did little to no research on our property or your destination in general, evidenced by your comments to me and also to the golf cart rental company you used - "Oh my god, you have to drive on dirt roads?!". Therefore, when you complain to me about the way that we hang the towels, and send pictures of the closed-off utility closet that needs sweeping (why are you in there to begin with?), don't be surprised when you're not taken seriously. Thanks

A group of friends and cousins

A large group of adult friends and cosines enjoyed this time together. This place had enough space to accommodate a large crowd. Most of us had our on bathroom, and the large screened in porch was so much fun for us all! The property is large and riding the golf carts around it made us feel like kids again. The owner is great and was very accommodating! This may be our forever rental on Daufuskie Island!

Dirty

The host was very responsive and helpful leading up to our trip. However, upon arrival I was horrified at the lack of cleanliness of the property. It was absolutely filthy and appeared to have not had a drop of TLC in quite sometime. I will definitely be back Daufuskie but will absolutely never stay at Jolly Shores again. If you’re someone who like camping then maybe this property is a good fit but if you’re someone who doesn’t like bugs and vines growing indoors then I’d say avoid this property at all cost.
