Great Spot Near Gatlinburg – Just Needs a Tune-Up

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great stay overall—this cabin worked really well for our group. The location was convenient, about 20–25 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg, and it felt private with lots of parking, which was a big plus. The road and drive are quite steep – so keep that in mind if booking during the winter months. We loved the layout of the house. There was plenty of space, bathrooms, and towels for everyone. The kitchen was well-stocked with plenty of dishware, a large coffee maker and a Keurig, which was a nice touch. One of the features we were most excited about was the theater room, but unfortunately, the sound system was a bit of a letdown. The speakers aren’t the right wattage for the Sony receiver, and every time we turned it up, it would go into protection mode and shut off. We had to switch it to 2-channel stereo just to get any audio. Luckily someone in our group knew how to troubleshoot it, but considering this is one of the cabin’s key selling points, it would be great to have a system that works reliably without needing an expert to set it up.A few other areas could use some attention. The grill was way too small for a cabin that sleeps so many people, and we ran into some plumbing issues (though those were resolved quickly, which we appreciated). The downstairs bathrooms could really use a deep clean and some minor repairs, there may be mildew or mold, and the light above the hot tub and some of the hot tub jets were not working. One of the blinds in a downstairs bedroom was broken and couldn’t be opened. It also would’ve been helpful to have some basic cleaning supplies available, like a broom and kitchen cleaner, just to help keep things tidy during the stay.None of these things were dealbreakers, but a little maintenance and a few thoughtful additions would make a big difference.

Old & Crusty!

We moved into the cabin on a wednesday evening only to find that one of the upstairs had no power. On calling maintenance they were able to send someone who fixed it. The cabin was old and dusty. Bedcover and pillows looked like they have not been washed in a century. My son has dust allergies and he was miserable throughout our stay. We had to shift him in the basement room since it was the only one without an old carpet and better bed linen but the basement tub was clogged and filled up when he tried to shower. The kitchen dishwasher had a broken seal and leaked water when we ran it. Had to report that as well. The views are great but they could spend some extra money on cleaning and updating the amenities. Won’t recommend.

Wonderful Family Vacation

The location was perfect and the view was everything I hoped for. It was less than a 30 minute drive to all of the attractions in town. However, the cabin feels like you are the only ones on the mountain. We saw several black bears around the cabin, we didn't bother them and they didn't bother us.

June family vacation

The grill was out of propane though and we had some issues with a few of the toilets. Also we could never figure out where the thermostat was for the bottom floor so it was really cold down there. We couldn't get the projector to stay on or the ice machine. But overall everyone had a great time we made smores and hot dogs on fire pit.

Not luxury as described.

The only thing luxurious about the property is the space. The property is poorly maintained (loose/broken doorknobs; loose/missing cabinet hardware; non working lamps; broken down furniture…. The list could get long if I took the time to include all). Check in was after 7 pm because we had to wait for it to be cleaned. Which was NOT clean. It is time for a deep cleaning- light and pictures are caked in dirt/dust; no sheets on 4 of the beds ( with comforters from pictures on bed so I have the impression these aren’t changed often; cigarette butts in buckets- fake eyelashes and hair ties from previous guests on bathroom counter—again could make a long list. The kitchen is minimally stocked- only 8 plates/ bowls for a cabin that sleeps many more so bring your own paper products. The communication is fine and fairly quick during the reservation process but when we were having trouble- they don’t answer the phones or texts requiring email only communication. I can’t adequately express our disappointment in this cabin. We travel often and have stayed in many locally in the past but this is by far the most dirty and least luxurious of all. ,During the booking process we read many good reviews. It was only after our issues that I read Yelp reviews and saw how many others have the same issues. It is sad that this cabin has been so neglected. Disappointed overall and am now looking for somewhere else for next years family stay.

Heavenly Heights Cabin Rental

The provided every cook utensil needed. The only thing I would recommend is more lighting as you’re coming up into the driveway at night. I suggest the cleaning crew to get the dead ladybugs up before guest comes and dust for the spiderwebs. Other than that the stay was a 10/10!

DO NOT RENT HERE!

I will never stay here again and I am trying to prevent others from doing the same! First of all, this place hadn’t been cleaned in what looked like over a year! It was infested with ladybugs. They were all over the windows, in the bedrooms, in the shower, and smooshed into the carpet! They were flying everywhere! At night you couldn’t put the lights on in the bedroom because they were flying all around you and on the bed! The so-called “family room” with “theatre TV” was a joke. We called maintenance 3 times to have someone try to come out and fix the TV. We never could get it to work! The TV’s in the bedroom didn’t work either. So 14 people wanting to watch different things, didn’t pan out well. There was no foosball for the foosball table. The downstairs bedrooms were beyond freezing and no way to control the heat down there. The people who stayed in those rooms, had to wear multiple clothes and were miserable. The comforters on every single bed was absolutely disgusting! They absolutely have never been washed! The coffee maker was broken. Had you have that replaced on day 2 of our 7 day stay. The icemaker was broken and didn’t make ice. A huge inconvenience when it takes almost 40 min to get to the store one way! The internet was terrible, so hopefully you don’t need to work or search the internet for anything. The hot tub was beyond gross! No telling when the last time it was cleaned or sanitized! The kitchen is not well-stocked at all!! If you plan on cooking, bring your own utensils and cookware. The things that are there are very very old and in not good condition. Some of the cookware was dirty when pulled out of the cabinet! One night one of our car doors was opened and a brand new ice chest stolen off the front porch! We called the front office to see if there were cameras and the answer was “oh so

Window sills were filled with them. The floor was covered with them. We called and the cleaning lady came and cleaned them up but there were still so many of them in the carpets and corners all over the cabin. Pest control guy came he sprayed outside right by the doors. He didn’t go into any of the bedrooms and spray or nothing It looked like the cabin hadn’t been cleaned for several days. Fire pit had no good way to get to it. It was dangerous. There was no clear path to get to it. So we didn’t get to use it at all. Had several extension cords hooked up and laying in an area where people walked to get in to the living room. We put a rug over them because someone tripped on them.

Reviewer Comments: Our experience was the most bear related we have ever had going to the mountains. We saw trash not only around the cans but out in the yard. We picked up marshmallows all around the fire pit, then watched a bear walk through the back yard. On Wednesday we called for a trash pick up and the man who came did not have enough room in his car to take all the trash. On Thursday we watched a mother bear and two cubs walk through the back yard. Tuesday was raccoon day. The lady bugs would scare the grand kids.

There is a local bear we named Yogi that will get in your vehicle if you don’t keep the locked. He got in all three of ours. No damage was done. We saw him in the yard on three occasions. Be aware the cleaning crew cleans the cabin out of anything left behind. So there is no salt, pepper or seasonings of any kind. There was also no extra paper towels or toilet paper. There are plenty of utensils and cookwares and dishes. We enjoyed our stay and will likely return.

Beautiful location

Perfect location if you enjoy being off the beaten path and enjoy seeing nature. We saw bears just about every single day and everything felt very secluded. House was a great size for us and our extended family. We felt cleanliness could have been a little better but we didn't let it deter us from still having a wonderful time. Would definitely book with this company again!

But after tonight the septic backed up all over the floor downstairs where our bedroom is at and on the main floor and downstairs no one could use the bathroom. No one could take a shower. so called Elk Springs and they sent somebody out after about three hours, and they had to end up moving us to a different cabin, which was a lot smaller. So not too pleased at all with Elk Springs for not keeping up on their maintenance they should know when the septic is full and have it pumped before somebody rents it for a week. So we wasted a whole day of our vacation waiting on them to see if we had to move or not. And yes we had to end up moving.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location. The views were fantastic. Overall, the heavenly Heights cabin was in clean and good condition when we arrived. The only real complaint that I heard from everyone that was staying there was that the Wi-Fi connection was very poor and kept cutting in and out all week long. Very difficult to use. Other than that we we were very happy With the log cabin and we hope that we left it in good condition as we think we did. Let us know if there were any issues that were found or anything that was left by the cleanup crew. We did have to leave several garbage bags inside the cabin in the kitchen area because the Containers outside were completely full and we didn’t want to leave anything out in that area outside the locked garbage bins for fear of bears getting in to the garbage.

Heavenly Heights

The property was perfect for our family. The views were spectacular from all 3 decks. The fire pit was enjoyed and it was perfect. Everything we needed was in the house and there were plenty of kitchen essentials. Maintenance came within hours to fix an issue we had. Communication was excellent with the staff at Rlk Springs Resort. Would highly recommend Heavenly Heights for a wonderful time.

Great Cabin!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had 10 people, and the cabin was well equipped to accommodate all our needs. we had a couple of issues which were resolved quickly. The outside fire pit we loved but I would suggest a walkway to it since you had to walk down a hill to avoid accidents.

Heavenly Heights

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family of 12 stayed in Heavenly Heights in Gatlinburg from June 25-July 1. This included 5 grandchildren ages 7-18. The whole family thoroughly enjoyed the entire week with the fantastic views of the mountains. The cabin and its amenities were exactly described on the website. The location was easy to find. The cabin was very clean, well-supplied and in great shape. The two times we had minor issues/questions, we contacted the management office and there was a prompt, courteous response to the situations. A suggestion would be to have a banister over the steps to the lower level. It would be much safer and helpful for people with mobility issues so they could more easily use the movie/game room. The overall stay was excellent. We have wonderful memories of celebrating our fiftieth wedding anniversary with our whole family. Bob & Kathy Neu, Webster Groves, MO
