La Casita puede ser mi hogar favorito.
1 dormitorio, 1 baño ... un escondite perfecto. Te despiertas, te estiras y miras por las ventanas a las espectaculares vistas del agua y la naturaleza. A petición suya, nos complace entregarle un desayuno continental a The Casita. Después de una mañana tranquila, solo tiene que probar la ducha al aire libre con espacio suficiente para dos. Al regresar a La Casita, puede ver una manada de delfines jugando cerca del muelle.
A medida que el día continúa, puede optar por navegar a St. Catherine's u Ossobaw Island y relájese en la playa con un almuerzo tipo picnic. This place has everything you need and more. The kitchen is outside, with two grills. Perfect for large gatherings, because you can rent both places the small cottage and the three bedroom house. Cookie, the host, she makes the place special and charming. She is one phone call away if you need anything.

We enjoyed a wonderful 3 getaway. The Casita and property offer peace and tranquility. We came to the area to relax and explore the surrounding towns. The outdoor kitchen and seating are wonderful, set up for anything you may want and the view is bar none. We did experience torrential rain the second and third night and throughout our departure which limited our use of the wonderful outdoor space. Cookie was a pleasure to work with, very kind and accommodating. We highly recommend staying at the Casita if you don't mind being off the beaten path!

A great weekend getaway!

Absolutely loved our stay! It was amazing to wake up to the river every morning. The tide was so fun to watch, and the views were incredible. The outdoor kitchen was a total highlight. Cookie was truly wonderful—so kind and always helpful. This is a must-stay, and we’ll definitely be back. I’m from the area, so it’s great to know we now have a place to book when we return!

Nature with comfort

Its a beautiful location, both the house and surrounding area. The house is small but perfect for 2, with a large outdoor kitchen, hottub overlooking the river and a dock that is perfect for fishing and crabbing. It's definitely a more wild area so you will see plenty of animals, many sharing the patio with you. It's a bit buggy so make sure you bring some bug spray or torches if you don't want to fist fight the flies while you cook. Past that it's a wonderful place and Cookie is a wonderful host that will go out of her way to make sure you're taken care of.

Beautiful and Peaceful

Quiet and off the beaten path, it was the perfect place to rest and unwind. The property owner was very accommodating and helpful. It’s a location we will definitely visit again.

We absolutely loved the Casita , caught redfish right from the dock. Cookie was so accommodating and the swinging bed is SO relaxing !! I loved the decor and the outdoor kitchen. Can't wait to come back someday. Highly recommend staying here.

Heaven on Earth

These pictures simply do not do this little cottage justice. Everything is meticulous planned out and laid out so well, it really makes use of the space in the best way possible. I'll admit, I had my doubts about the hanging bed, but not only was it incredibly comfortable, the slow, gentle, swaying was incredible. To say nothing of the views. I saw dolphins swim by the dock every single day, at least once a day. It feels like living in a painting. And the host, Cookie, was absolutely incredible to deal with! She was so kind and friendly, and went out of her way to make sure I had everything I possiblely needed throughout my stay. I will ABSOLUTELY be coming back for a longer stay. This place is an absolute gem!

Cookie is the best host.

The place was everything described and more. What really made it 5 stars and more was Cookie. She is by far the best host I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with on vrbo. Cookie reached out before our trip to speak in person. She gave us all the information about the area, went over different options of things to do in the area. Throughout our stay, she reached out to see if we were ok and if we needed anything. We will definitely be back again. Thank you.

Never wanted to leave

I dont know where to start. It was all just perfect. The outdoor kitchen was amazing. Even when it was raining, we were able to comfortably cook and hang out. There was no need for anything except the food to cook. The home itself was so cozy. I will always be begging for a suspended bed. So wonderful. There are beautiful views no matter which window you look from. Waking up to watch the sunrise without leaving the bed is remarkable. Outdoor showers, night time hot tub relaxing, fishing from the pier.. there were memories made, for sure. Cookie was amazing and offered far more than expected. 11/10 recommend. **I will be back, Cookie**

The Fabulous Casita

The Casita is a fabulous property for 2. Beautifully decorated with everything you could possibly need including an outdoor kitchen! The dock is super also. We enjoyed our stay watching the dolphins and fishing all with awesome sunsets! Cookie and her team are simply the very best!! We highly recommend booking The Casita!!

Property was clean and nice. Very cozy and accommodations were great. Issues with rentals involved check-in and communication. Was left trying to figure out how check-in worked until after the initial time for check-in. There was an initial issue with reservations as I reserved another property by the property owner. Of no fault of the owner, VRBO double booked the reservation and the owner offered the Santos Salvo property instead.

Kayak and Kitchen!

The info before the trip was great. Directions perfectly fine to get there. Clean and exactly as presented in the listing. Outdoor kitchen extremely well equipped, hot tub worked fine, kayaks we had ordered were on the deck. Gorgeous views over the marshes watching the tide come in and out. Easy day trip to Savannah. Was able to contact manager during our week for some questions. Will come back and rent the house next door for a family gathering! Thanks, folks.

Beautiful Property

My wife and I stayed at Colonel Island’s Casita and absolutely loved it. The cottage was tastefully decorated with care personal attention. It was a perfect place for just her and I. The property is located in the most beautiful surroundings with all the wonder nature has to offer. Pink Spoonbills, Blue Herons, Cranes, Bottlenose Dolphins are constant sights along with some of the most beautiful sunsets we have seen. The outdoor kitchen offers everything one would need to prepare any meals during your stay. There are a multitude of historic and outdoors activities close by as well as being just 30 minutes from all Savannah has to offer. If none of that is your speed, then the property itself is draw enough I assure you. There is a pier and dock on this property where you can launch your kayaks or SUPs for adventures in the wetlands, or just lounge between the patio furniture and hot tub while taking in nature and beverages of your choice. My wife and I did little of it all and look forward to making a trip to Colonel’s Island an annual trip for her and I.

The casita is lovely with amazing views. Very quiet and peaceful area. We had a wonderful weekend. The hostess had personalized touches and made sure we were comfortable and happy throughout our stay.

I was a 'City Girl', but a friend brought me to the Island and their family spent over 30 years on Colonels Island enjoying and celebrating Island Life. My first time visiting the Island, I thought I was going to some Godforsaken middle-of-nowhere places. After a few days, I knew that I never wanted to leave!

Imagine living in a place where you can look in almost every direction and see beautiful coastal water! Dolphins jump every day! I wake up and see Deer in our front yard! Living in the outdoors surrounded by the sounds of nature... indescribable! Please come see for yourselves!
