Nicely updated home in great location. Only comments are: the exterior front porch lights weren't working and the ony way to turn the stairwell light on to the upstairs was at the top of the stairs. Jack was wonderful to deal with

This house was amazing, the location is perfect. Close to Safeway, coffee shops and the beach. There was not much in the kitchen oil, spices etc so will have to bring your own. Seems like other guests left a bit of coffee and tea, salt and pepper. Safeway is a 5 min walk. Kitchen is great, bed was comfy, definitely would stay agin

Home Away From Home

A great stay in Kitsilano with all of the amenities of home. Everything you need is within walking distance including restaurants, grocery stores and shopping. The premises were very well kept and very clean. I would highly recommend and will be back!

Kitsilano

Needed to stay close to UBC and this was a perfect option! Plenty of room and close to restaurants, shopping and the beach. This is a a very safe area and lots of options for bussing throughout Vancouver. I'll definitely be back, Thanks Jack!

Wonderful place to stay!

We had a lovely time staying at this great house in Kitsilano Beach. The location was nice and quiet with easy parking. It's one block off a main street in Kitsiliano so quiet but easy access to lots of great restaurants. The owner was also wonderful and very responsive. We loved our stay and would definitely stay her again. The people that live in the place behind have a very friendly cat who one evening jumped in through the basement window and surprised us by walking up the stairs. We let him out but were careful to not leave the windows open without the drapes shut to not invite other animals in. Only thing we will say was that it was a little warm in the house, even when we turned the thermostat down. We figured out it may have to do with the whole house humidifier which we eventually turned down and helped to cool the house down. We also tend to keep our home really cool so it may have been that we are just used to cooler inside temperatures.

Great location, very nice upgraded house

For clarification, we booked the entire house (3 bedrooms) - this listing was changed after we booked to the 1 bedroom listing. For those wondering, this house has 2 separate doorways once you enter the front door - 1 that goes up to 2 bedrooms upstairs, and 1 that goes to a living area/kitchen and then has stairs that go down to a 1 bedroom/en-suite bathroom and laundry area downstairs. This house is in a great location in Kitsilano - very close to key Vancouver attractions, but on a side street that feels more quiet. It requires on-street parking, which is always easy to find. The house is walking distance to a liquor store and a really awesome Italian restaurant called Raviolino. The house is very nicely updated - you can see the high end touches everywhere - from the Bosch appliances to the LG washer/dryer and Dyson handheld vacuum. There were 3 full bathrooms, 2 of which were en-suite. The one thing that we wished for was that the unit could have been better stocked with supplies. For example, we bought eggs assuming that there would be supplies to fry them, but there was no oil or cooking spray provided. The only cooking ingredients provided were a little bit of salt, pepper, and some sugar. So I would recommend if you're staying there and plan on cooking, that you go to the house first, assess what is there, and buy all the supplies that you need. The one thing I would add that I hope is helpful for other families is that this house is not young kid friendly. Meaning - the 3-bedroom unit is located across 3 floors, which means 2 sets of slippery wooden stairs, and no gates provided. We have a very active 1 year old and spent the weekend trying to prevent him from getting up and down the stairs, and as well, there were drawers and cabinets in the bathrooms and kitchens that he could access easily, including one low drawer in the kitchen that contained a lot of knives. Again, this would be fine if you have older kids, but just wanted to point this out for families with younger kids. The owner of this house, Jack, is extremely responsive and will immediately contact you back via text, phone, or email if you have any questions or concerns. Of note, my husband is a huge New England Patriots fan, and the weekend we were there, the game was on Monday night and my husband contacted Jack about adding a channel just to watch this game, and he did! We loved our stay in Vancouver, thank you!

Kitsalano Modernized Charm

We (3 couples) stayed here for the Lululemon Sea Wheeze Run (which was awesome). Jack, the owner was so kind, available and accommodating! The gourmet kitchen made it easy to prepare meals and snacks. There are enough bathrooms for everyone which ensured privacy. The rental was squeaky clean!! The neighbourhood so very walkable and just a hop skip from the beach. Make sure you drop by the Whole Foods and stock up on coffee, oil, butter, milk and sugar basics if you are planning to eat in! We hope to come back next time we are in Vancouver!

Great Experience

In Vancouver with my wife and three adult children for my daughters wedding. Jacks place was absolutely perfect. Everything about the house is quality-kitchen, bathrooms, flooring, appliances, WiFi, TV, beds etc. The front yard is lovely and Jack kindly provided a BBQ so we could enjoy it. The location is great-close to great restaurants, public transit, wine and grocery stores. With 4 girls and a wedding I really appreciated three and a half bathrooms. I would certainly rent this property again.

Perfect Vancouver Location

I just spent 5 glorious summer days in Vancouver with my wife and 3 kids. Jack's newly-remodeled house in Kitsilano provided comfortable and tastefully furnished accommodation. Everything worked well - the WiFi, cable TV, dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, etc. Beds were comfortable. Loved that coffee and restaurants were a 5 minute walk away (to either W 4th or Broadway), and getting into downtown was 5 minutes by car. I would rent this house again in a heartbeat.

Sibling get together

This was an excellent location for our annual sibling get together. The 3 bedrooms and 3 baths were perfect for our three couples and the house was beautifully appointed. Our only reservation was that a big part of our get togethers is cooking together and the kitchen and dining space was a bit cramped for the 6 of us.

A perfect place and location for a visit to Vancouver. This house is well-designed for two couples and a third guest. The Kitchen is well-equipped and modern. The two master bedrooms are well-separated for privacy. I really can't imagine a more perfect set-up. We will return when we want to splurge on a Vancouver holiday!!!

Great Stay

We found the property well maintained and centrally located in Kitsilano. Plenty of restaurants, shops and conveniences (such as transit) within a short distance. Off the main thorough fare so very quiet. Jack was available to answer queries and facilitate a trouble-free stay. Parking is available should you have a car. A little noise from the adjoining property and only a small dining area. Otherwise no complaints and would definitely consider again if I find myself in Vancouver.

Perfect vacation home

There were four of us in the house and we had plenty of room and privacy. The main floor has a kitchen, living room and half bath. The kitchen is equipped with Bosch appliances - the bathroom is beautiful with an sensor light fixture - leather furniture - felt just like home. The second floor has two bedrooms - one has a queen and the other has a twin. This was perfect for my cousin & his wife and the smaller room for my mother. The master bedroom has a full ensuite (beautifully done) and there's another full bathroom for the smaller room (again, beautifully done). The basement has a large bedroom with an ensuite (again, you guessed it, beautifully done). Jack was available by email if we had any questions. He offered to come to the house, if we needed but we didn't. The neighbourhood is great - close to 4th shops, restaurants, etc. There's also a great little porch in front of the house (the weather didn't cooperate so we didn't spend any time there) that would be perfect for a cup of morning coffee or evening glass of wine. Highly recommend this house and we still stay again should we visit Vancouver in the future.

Ideal for a stay in Kitsilano

5 days in this lovely house, close to amenities and restaurants in Kitsilano area. Easy ride by car or by bus to downtown Vancouver. Comfortable bedrooms and nice garden. Easy access from the airport. I recommend it.

Perfect Getaway House

Just as shown in the photos, this house was newly renovated, stylish, and immaculately kept up and clean. There's a beautiful front yard. The house was the perfect home-base for our forays all over Vancouver. And because it's in the cool Kitsilano neighborhood, it gave us a feel for how real Vancouverites live--instead of being in a downtown hotel. Jack was attentive and helpful from beginning to end. One very little issue: because the house is on a robust residential street and has no garage or driveway, we sometimes had to park a little away from the house--but there was always parking in front or just nearby. We're recommending this house to everyone we know!
