Situado en el corazón del centro de Portland esta planta superior esquina altillo será su base cómoda para disfrutar de todo lo que Portland tiene para ofrecer. Puntuación de Paseo de la 98 le permite explorar la ciudad sin coche. El loft está situado en la calle de Portland Línea coche con fácil acceso a todos los rincones de la ciudad que incluye el transporte desde y hacia el Aeropuerto Internacional de Portland. Perfect location for this cozy loft!

The loft is located in a great spot in downtown Portland, perfect for those who really want to experience city life. There are great views of the city in two directions through the many windows. The proximity of the streetcar makes it easy to zip in different directions--you can be at Powell's famous bookstore in just a few minutes or head to the waterfront in just as short a time. Everything is close by. The loft is equipped with a wood-burning fireplace that heats the place up fast and makes for a wonderful atmosphere, especially when it's raining outside. The claw-foot bathtub was deep and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to make a full course meal, but with so many unique restaurants nearby I rarely ate indoors. This place was a true gem and I enjoyed my stay very much!

Small, but comfortable. Good location.

It's a nice little loft. Definitely a good and walkable downtown location. If you come to Portland without a car, you will get along fine, but if you bring your car, know that you will have to find your own parking. There's a lot across the street that is easy to use for overnight parking. Also, it probably won't make a difference if you aren't coming to town during an August heat wave, but the air conditioning unit could get the loft close to comfortable, but still on the warm side for my husband. And the washer is great, but without a dryer, laundry was hard.

Okay place, clean.

Pros: downtown location, comfortable bed, near food store, apartment gets good natural light; iron and ironing board; blow dryer, washing machine; across the street from a metered parking lot. Cons: not comfortable for eating in the kitchen as stools are too tall for counter; dryer is in the basement and requires coins; the tub/shower is uncomfortable to use; there is no dresser to put your clothes in, so you must use your suitcase.

Habitable, pretty comfortable.

Nice floors, stove, good space for 1 or 2 people, but too cozy for 3. Hallways smell funny. Floors were really creaky. Fridge is nice and ceiling light in "living room" area doesn't work. Nice to have kitchen utensils available. Not bad.

Exactly as advertised

This is a great flat in the heart of Portland. We were there for the marathon. We were able to walk everywhere even with the slight rain. Slept three comfortably. Everything was in working order, clean, and as Shawn described. Our 8 year old son loved the old school elevator in the building. Close to grocery, restaurants, and food truck row. Walking distance from the art museum. Great property.

Fabulous base to explore Portland!

Great central location in a character building. Ideally placed to explore Portland. The apartment is spotless and has a high standard of amenities, with a super comfy bed for a great night's sleep. Thanks for letting us enjoy your loft!

Central location

Apartment is ok, yet is noisy and with a lot of light. Bed matress soft bending a bit in V shape so it was hard to sleep overall. All in all for price charged we would have rather stayed somewhere else.

Nice place. Good location. Within walking distance of almost everything.

We enjoyed our sta. Space is perfect for a couple. Bathtub a bit hard to navigate since I do not have full mobility in my left leg but not a big problem. Shawn responds very quickly to questions or concerns. Would stay again if we come back to Portland

You'll be MOSTLY pleased with what you find...

The property is exactly as pictured. It's smallish for an apartment--especially for an extended stay--but definitely more room than you'd get in a Portland hotel. We prepared no meals there but we could have--the kitchen was well stocked. The WiFi was convenient. This building is a walk-up and, though there is an elevator (it's one of those dated, gated kind), you'd make better time just taking to the steps--not a detractor for us, but those who don't wish to climb stairs might not like the other option either. The unit was mostly clean, especially the bathroom (A+). There is a washing machine located in there, but no dryer--keep that in mind. The missus didn't care for the shower, mainly because it is an antique tub with a full curtain enclosure. The shower liner does cling to you as you bathe, but I myself didn't find it all that annoying--again, it depends on your preferences. I reminded her that at least the bathroom is clean, with plush towels, and a tub drain that isn't clogged---something that you don't always find in a more expensive hotel. What I wasn't happy with was the ceiling fan. It had a major dust collection on each blade--not good. I cleaned them for us and the next guest, perched atop one of the kitchen stools. The micro-blinds, too, need more regular attention--awful dingy. I did wipe those down some, but not nearly as thoroughly as they needed. And finally, when I checked the filter for the floor AC unit, it was abundantly caked with lint. I wiped and rinsed that as well so the unit could function optimally. Though I don't mind doing these things because I do them at my home, I shouldn't have to. The owner needs to have a firm talk with his housekeeper or promptly find a new one--the status quo will not do. I'm supplying 4 stars because it truly is a charming (and, yes, stylish) unit that's offered at a great value. You won't be disappointed but, at present, there's good reason for that missing fifth star.

Really great location in downtown Portland!

Sean was FABULOUS in his immediate replies to any question I had. Easy to find loft location with parking available either on the street or directly across the street in a lot (both require payment). This was a really nice 1903 top floor apartment. Either a walkup or take the original elevator....not an issue with either choice. In fact, I LOVED the old elevator, which can accommodate two normal sized people with a carry on each. The loft was updated and designed really well and decorated with IKEA. It was just a happy space to be in. It accommodated two people really well. The bathtub was a clawfoot which was tricky with a knee with bursitis...kind of a high step in and step out and the bathmat made it slippery; just to be aware. There is a nice washing machine in the bathroom but no dryer...not a problem for me b/c I did not have laundry needs. The building was quiet and felt very comfortable. The location for anything downtown was superb.

Great location, comfortable with all amenities.

2nd stay at this studio for me. Because of location, no rental car needed. Public transportation is available outside the door. This studio is a mini-home for a comfortable short stay. Clean and surrounded by conveniences such as grocery store and walkable restaurant choices. I have stayed here during cooler weather when windows remain closed. With windows open(and there are plenty of them) it can be noisy outside. You are in the city! The farmers market was a great find just blocks away on PSU campus.

Beautiful unit in an awesome location!

This lovely apartment is a great place from which to explore all of the quirky wonders of Portland. It is so comfortable and nicely decorated and right in the heart of the City. We walked to museums, food carts, great shopping and VooDoo donuts! Very comfortable bed and every amenity we needed for a wonderful stay. We will absolutely be back.

Great location, sweet loft

I stayed here instead of the Marriott conference hotel and it worked out perfectly. Great location, cool old building, comfortable, clean and so much better than a hotel! Owner was responsive and everything went very smoothly. Highly reccomended.

Comfortable condo in a great location

This is the third time I've stayed in this top-floor condo. The condo and building are clean and mostly quite comfortable. The layout is basically one great room (kitchen, eating area, sleeping, and lounging area). The few challenges include a somewhat inconvenient bathroom and dining on stools plus a rolling table. The owner communicates well and is very responsive (like fixing a towel rod). The best feature of the condo, though, is its location. We can walk to concerts at the Newmark Theater, walk to theater at Artists' Rep, walk one block to the streetcar to get to venues at the Pearl and beyond. We even walk to the farmers' market at PSU for fresh produce and yummy freshly caught fish. (Safeway is a block away, for other food.) We would stay here again, and would recommend it to friends.

Fantastic Property!

This is a fantastic property that is well maintained and situated at a great location in downtown Portland. It was perfect for a family of four visiting for Christmas! Easy access to downtown attractions, dining, and public transportation. Parking was not an issue as there is a pay lot across the street as well as in street parking. We would definitely consider renting it again!

Great Place to Stay in Downtown Portland

This property is a good value for the price paid. This is not a fancy place, but it is casually comfortable for two people. The location is excellent for walking or using mass transit. The kitchen has all that you will need to cook a meal for two. The linens were good quality. It is nice to be able to open the windows to get fresh air, something lacking in a lot of hotels. It was quiet in the building, but there is normal urban street noise, nothing unusual for being in the big city. I use earplugs any time I stay in the City as there are always night noises that are unfamiliar. I recommend them for this property. My wife and are are senior citizens and the area felt safe even for walking at night (we walked back from Powell's book store around 10 PM and had a delightful walk). There is plenty of parking in the parking lot across the street. I appreciated the fact that I could see our car from inside the apartment. The parking rate varied per day, but was as high as $16 and as low as $9 per 24 hour period. That is a very fair rate for downtown Portland. Only 2 items that kept me from giving this property a 5 star rating. The bath tub is a claw foot free standing tub, with a pipe that comes up from the faucet for a shower. The tub is not near a wall so there is nothing to hold onto as you climb in and out of the tub. The shower pipe is the only thing to hold onto as you step into the tub, and it is not sturdy enough to rely on. Also, the wrap around shower curtain takes up so much of the inside of the tub that the sense is you are taking a shower in side a ziplock bag. Not a deal killer, but it is something to be aware of. The other item is that the only way to get to the fire escape for this floor is through this unit. Thus the unit entrance door has a very flimsy door lock, and one of the panels for the door (it is a six panel door), is thin smoked glass. Outside of the front door in the hallway is a metal rod attached to the wall, so in case of an "emergency", someone can break the glass in the door and open the unit door from the inside. Note that the building is secure, and has a front door that is password protected, but if you are nervous about security, this is a feature you need to know. But for these two factors I would have given this a 5 star rating. Our deposit was timely returned within one week, and the owner was very good to work with.

A perfect match.

This loft was a perfect match for my visit to Portland to visit my daughter working downtown. The loft was roomy, comfortable and adequately equipped for casual visiting and meal prep. The location was wonderful for a trip to the Saturday farmer's market and Safeway, art museum and no car needed. Easy car rental is a short walk away at the University Place Hotel for an outing to see dreamy Oregon eats or west. I would book here again and again. Thank you for a wonderful, uncomplicated stay.

Great apartment in an excellent location

Really cool loft space in a great part of Portland. Easy to find and lots of good restaurants nearby. We can recommend Dragon Well bistro if you like contemporary Chinese. The lift is a bit temperamental- check to see if it is running before you get all your luggage out or you will be carting it up the four flights of stairs. If it doesn't work it is most likely because one of the doors is open on one of the four floors- once you close the offending door it should work. Hope you enjoy Portland as much as we did.

Great location, bathroom mediocre

Stayed here 3 nights in August. The pluses - super location, responsive owner, top floor, nice views, comfy bed, wood flooring and updated kitchen. We were so thankful for the portable AC unit that was set up as temperatures were over 90F one day. The minuses - small bed area, difficult or impossible to walk on both sides of the bed. The bed was a queen bed with a comfy mattress and nice linens and blanket. The wood floors were creaky, but it's an older building and you except that. The elevator was small and old, it fits the 2 of us and our 2 carry-on bags, nothing more, but that was all we brought, so it was fine. The negatives were the bathroom shower, lack of a dryer in the unit, basic but not extensive kitchen utensils and cookware, and musty rugs in bathroom plus closet area that smelled like a dog. The owner has since changed the unit to a 30-day rental. I would want a fixed up shower, new rugs, more kitchen equipment, and to make sure there was a dryer available - I guess it is in the basement. Other than those items, we had a great stay - never really used the kitchen, and it was comfy to sleep at the end of the day. This is an urban area so buses and people are on the street from early morning into the evening, that is normal and to be expected. It was great for us, with access to downtown, pearl district, the river, restaurants, shopping, and hiking all available without needing a car. Thanks for the enjoyable stay.

Perfect location, beautiful apartment

Nice, clean, bright, modern apartment. Comfortable bed with individual reading lights, large windows and very functional AC for the warmer afternoons. We didn't use the tv or kitchen, but the space, building, and location were perfect. We walked all around downtown and the Pearl District (+/- 10 min walk, so convenient!), and rarely even used the bus or train. Plenty of space for the two of us. One issue- the shower needs a solid scrubbing, re-glazing, and a new shower curtain. We did not do laundry, but did notice a washing machine in the large restroom (but no dryer?). The building has an adorable old elevator with a sliding metal door. It's a little temperamental, but has a lot of character! Overall we loved the apartment and would stay again and again... if the shower was cleaned up.

Great spot in the heart of Downtown

The loft is fantastic. It is just the right size for 2-4 people, especially since the three of us who were staying were so busy exploring the nearby sights. Public transit is right out the door, and it's a quick ride or a leisurely walk to the Pearl. Great spot for anyone traveling without a car. The loft itself is very comfortable and stocked with everything you need for a short stay, and Shawn was easy to reach if we had any questions. I would definitely stay here again on another visit to Portland!

Nice penthouse in good location

This one-room penthouse is in an old building with a vintage elevator that is fun and works fine, but the apartment is modern and spacious. It was just right for my husband and me. We're walkers so barely needed our car. We could walk to Powell's, restaurants in the Pearl District, Whole Foods, the art museum and gorgeous library and other points of interest. Sean, the owner, responded quickly to a concern we had and was very nice. My only caution is if traffic noise bothers you, bring super good earplugs! It is downtown and the noise from trucks is pretty much 24-hours as they resupply businesses, etc. Great to have reliable wifi.
