Uzès, the first duchy of France, near Nimes, Avignon and the Pont du Gard is a medieval city where art and the art of living are skillfully combined. The apartment (for 2 to 4 people) is located in the heart of the historic center of Uzès in a listed 17th century building (Place Dampmartin). The apartment has a living room with a fitted kitchen. The living room, as well as the bedroom, open onto a 12 m2 southwest-facing terrace. The apartment has been recently restored and is equipped with every comfort. The mezzanine is a relaxation area with a TV and a sofa bed.

A lovely place to stay!!!

Apartment was ‘rustic’ but clean & presentable. We enjoyed the balcony very much to sit and relax with a meal. Location was excellent, right in the middle of the town & market. Marleen was extremely helpful with great written English. Only criticism was regarding parking which wasn’t exactly that close but acceptable. I would definitely recommend this property.

Fabulous location apartment with a quiet terrace.

We enjoyed our stay in Marleen's apartment. It is just off the Place aux Herbes, yet in a small quiet building. It is plenty spacious for a couple, has lots of windows and a ceiling fan in the living room, which we needed. The terrace is wonderful. The amenities are at a minimum, as compared to most of the other apartments we have rented. If you are a serious cook, I would think twice about staying here but he kitchen is fine for preparing simple meals. There are plenty of dishes, etc. The bathroom is a nice size with a good shower, always a plus. There is a reading light over the bed, which is another plus, although the bed could use plumper and couple more pillows for the comfort of reading. My two negatives are... we were expected to arrive with our own sheets. Marleen told me it was stated someplace in the description, but I missed it. This was a first for us. Dragging sheets and towels from the US is something we would not have even considered doing. In the end, Marleen provided the sheets and towels. The second negative is the uncomfortable chairs in the living room. The furnishings are generally quite nice, but the only two places to sit, besides the dining chairs, instead of cushions have lumpy thin pillows. Both negatives can be easily resolved and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Ein wunderschöner Urlaub

Sehr freundliche Vermieterin, die immer mit Rat und Tat dabei war. Eine sehr einladende Wohnung, in der wir uns sofort zuhause fühlten. Mitten im alten Zentrum und doch ausreichend ruhig. Super, super schön.

Sommer in Uzès

Die Ferienwohnung liegt wie beschrieben sehr zentral in Uzès. Einrichtung und Ausstattung haben uns den Aufenthalt genießen lassen trotzt der enormen Hitze. Eine Klimaanlage wäre zu überlegen, da das Schlafen mit offenem Fenster eine Herausforderung darstellt (Lärm am Abend und frühen Morgen). Ansonsten sehr zu empfehlen. Wir würden wiederkommen.

Superb location, lovely apartment

Superb location in the heart of historic Uzes. Lovely patio amongst the roof tops - great for eating breakfast on and generally relaxing. Adjacent to lots of interesting and historic buildings and the Place De Herbs with lots of restaurants and ice cream parlours. Apartment is well equipped and host is friendly, would hire again.

Immer wieder gern

Vor genau zehn Jahren waren wir schon einmal in dieser Wohnung und auch dieses Mal wurden wir nicht enttäuscht. Die Wohnung liegt mitten im Zentrum der zauberhaften Kleinstadt Uzes - sie ist absolut eine Reise wert. Gelegen in einem ruhigen Gässchen geht man nur wenige Schritte und schon ist man mitten auf dem zentralen Marktplatz. Auch zum ehr sehenswerten Herzogpalast ist es nicht weit und Badegelegenheiten gibt es im Gard und dem Gardon. Marleen, die Vermieterin ist sehr freundlich und entgegenkommend, vor Ort wurden wir von Martine herzlichst empfangen. Weil wir uns schon vor zehn Jahren sehr wohl gefühlt haben, wollten wir unbedingt noch einmal herkommen und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Die Wohnung ist gemütlich und hat alles, was man braucht. Wenn man abends nicht auf dem trübseligen Marktplatz in eines der vielen guten Restaurants gehen möchte, kann man in der sehr gut ausgestatteten Küche etwas zubereiten und entspannt auf der schönen Terrasse essen. Wir werden sicher noch einmal kommen und nicht wieder zehn Jahre warten.

Appartement bien situé dans le centre d Uzès

L appartement est conforme à la description. Il est très bien situé dans les rues piétonnes. J ai garé ma voiture sur un parking gratuit rue de l escalette toute la semaine, à 10min à pied car sinon dur dur de trouver où se garer. La terrasse est un plus pour l appartement mais il y fait très très chaud en journée (août). Attention cependant quelque chose à noter pour les grandes personnes car toutes les portes, portes fenêtres vers la terrasse et aussi la mezzanine sont basses. Je me suis cogné plusieurs fois.

Klein und fein, an bester Lage

Sehr netter Kontakt, welcher bei Fragen sueoer unterstützt. Die Wohnung ist klein, ein perfekter Rückzugsort an bester Lage mitten in der Stadt. Die Wohnung ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Küche lässt auch etwas aufwändigeres zu. Die Terrasse zum Innenhof hat uns sehr gefallen. Wir haben zig Bücher dort gelesen. Uzès ist ein wunderbarer Ort. Wir werden wieder gerne kommen.

Gemütliche Wohnung unter dem Dach

Die Wohnung ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt braucht - gute Betten, eine gute Dusche, eine gut ausgestattete Küche, gemütliche Sitzecken. Und vor allem: obwohl "La Sapiniere" mitten in der Stadt liegt - der große Samstagsmarkt beginnt quasi vor der Haustür - war es nachts herrlich ruhig, so dass man gut schlafen konnte. Im Sommer ist der kleine Balkon sicher ein weiterer Pluspunkt. Wir haben uns im späten Herbst über eine gut funktionierende Heizung gefreut. Wir würden die Wohnung jederzeit wieder buchen und auch weiterempfehlen.

Wunderbare Ferienwohnung im herrlichen Uzès

In der schönen südfranzösischen Stadt, zentral gelegene Ferienwohnung, mit allem, was man für einen netten Aufenthalt braucht. Stilvoll eingerichtet, ruhig, obwohl nur wenige Schritte vom „Place aux Herbes“ (mittwochs und samstags Markt) entfernt. Netter Balkon, unkomplizierter Kontakt zur Vermieterin und auch noch bestes Wetter.

Magnifique

Uzès est magnifique !proche de lieux aussi magnifiques (Nîmes,le Pont du Gard) Nous y sommes restés une semaine et avons pleinement profité de l’appartement très bien équipé et joliment décoré par Marleen et son mari (des gens très sympathiques qui aiment recevoir et prennent leur temps avec leurs clients si besoin) Rien a dire sur le logement ,un peu haut quand même! trois étages dl’époque Nous ont fait de beaux mollets au bout de huit jours. Et peut etre la cloche qui nous réveille a 6 heures le matin, il faut s’habituer ! Mais en tout cas nous laissera d’excellent Souvenirs de vacances Nous y retournerons certainement !! Car cette année de canicule il faisait vraiment trop chaud. C’etait génial Merci Marleen

Goed uitgerust centraal apartment! Fijn verblijf

Fijn verblijf gehad in dit goed uitgeruste appartement op een mooie locatie in het stadje Uzes! Fijne communicatie met eigenaresse! Er is voor de deur te stoppen om bagage uit te ruimen (behalve zaterdag, i.v.m Markt). Parkeren is in de omgeving betaald maar er zijn ook gratis mogelijkheden. Enige nadeel vonden wij zijn de trappen. Echter dat valt te verwachten als je zo midden in het centrum verblijft!

Appartement chaleureux

Idéalement situé au centre d'Uzès, cet appartement est un parfait pied à terre pour découvrir cette magnifique ville moyennageuse et ses alentours. L'appartement est chaleureux avec une petite terrasse que nous avons particulièrement appréciée. (Nous étions 3 adultes). Un petit bémol, la salle à manger est un peu sombre. Sinon rien à redire. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Nous avons découvert les petits villages environnants de Lussan, la Roque sur Cèze, ainsi que le musée du pont du Gard. Nous recommandons cette adresse où nous aurons grand plaisir à revenir.
