They had issues with door keys, they put us up at local hotel for the night. Which was a big inconvenience. Otherwise the location was excellent.

Great place in a wonderful area in Venice. I loved sitting on the windowsill and watching the gondolas go by. We miss it already. The host and local assistant were helpful and communicative. Thanks so much for an unforgettable time in a fantasy location.

Location the best

It was the perfect place to experience Venice if this is your first time there. In the mornings, we just opened our windows, and we enjoyed seeing the boats passing by.

Wonderful stay! Got a little lost on the way there - a Google maps link instead of a hand drawn map would be helpful for future guests but my contact person was wonderful and understanding and the place is so charming! A great central location with easy access to all the main touristy sights and close to grocery, pharmacy and Vaporretto stops. You can literally open the window and watch gondolas go by! Highly recommended!!

The location is excellent, easy to get to without bridges. All the facilities are on hand inside. Getting in was simple with Tommy meeting us outside. The only minor quibble was that the beds were not made up, but that maybe down to communication problems beforehand.

I absolutely loved staying here for 27 days! I loved it so much that I’ve reserved Eight it again for next year. The location is perfect. The unit itself is perfect. I enjoyed watching the gondolas. Everything is super close and great! This was a dream apartment for me. The host is awful. Wonderful – response very quickly to any questions or concerns.

The apartment is in a per...

The apartment is in a perfect location, just 2 minutes walk from the Rialto vaporetto stop, which is very useful if you come with luggage from Piazzale Roma. Well equiped, basic things to cook (oil, flour, sugar, coffee..) music, TV, air conditioning, (great as Venize can be very hot),and very clean. The view is beautiful as overlooks a canal.

Totally lost

We got totally lost finding the flat. The pin drop directions were not easy. Even the locals did not know where we were going. Barbara was amazing and asked every tourist if they were us until she found us and checked us in.

I enjoyed my stay here. The apartment is very well located, just a minute or two's walk to the Rialto Bridge and about a five minute walk to Piazza San Marco.Shopping is also nearby, with a Coop supermarket a few minutes walk away, as well as a Despar supermarket located a few minutes away on the Grand Canal.The large room has a fairly good kitchen and the living room, including a sofa bed, a small television set, a small stereo system with some CDs, plus a heating/air conditioning unit. A friend of mine stayed with me for a few days and she said that the sofa bed was comfortable to sleep on.Another good thing about the apartment, which is on the first floor (Europe)/second floor (US), are the two windows directly overlooking a small canal, with great views over the gondolas that pass by regularly (as well as motorboats).The smaller room is the bedroom, which has a space heater that can be turned on and placed near the bed. There were enough blankets to keep me warm on chilly nights.There are a few caveats that I should mention. One is that the walls must be thin, as I could clearly hear the people in the apartment next door in the bedroom (first an Italian family with kids, followed by a group of French speaking people.)Another is that there is no microwave oven in kitchen.Finally, the shower is a bit tight, and the wooden beams in it were just a couple of inches above the top of my head (I am 5'11"), so people who are big or tall should take note.

Great location, clean and efficient apartment

The location is exceptional, right by the Rialto Bridge and market. The building is on a small canal, you can see the gondolas from the windows. The apartment is small but has everything you need: well equipped kitchen, with stove, fridge and a washer for laundry. Bathroom was clean, with a shower. I wish we could use the air conditioning unit, but it did not have the drain line attached. There were trundle mattresses available, that could accommodate extra sleeping. We did not need them, but it was interesting to notice. Barbara, the lady that showed us to the apartment, was very friendly and shared a lot of tips on grocery stores, restaurants and places were locals go. We appreciated all that. Thank you for a great stay!

Perfect location!

This adorable little flat is in a perfect location for walking to all major attractions and water taxi. Lovely canal view for our morning coffee. I’ll preface by saying it was our first trip to Italy (Europe for one of us). The shower is small..we’re 5’8 and had trouble moving without bumping into something. We also didn’t understand the bed situation but finally figured out it was a twin bed with a slide out twin underneath. Both beds were like this. We laughed and chalked it up to experience. Honestly the location and helpfulness of the host and the charm made up for anything different for us. We’d stay again to get the location! A tip from our guide was the gelato spot around the corner and it did not disappoint!

Not worth the price for the view

The view was not worth the extra cost (you can't actually sit and look at it, you have to go right up to the window and look directly down just to see a sliver of the canal) For what we paid, we could have stayed somewhere with a bed that doesn't feel so close to the floor. (BOTH are two single mattress with one near the floor). You have to put on your own bedding including a cover on the (blood stained) duvet. The shower was hot for 3 minutes and then the tank needs to reheat again for a long time. We liked the location, the well equipped kitchen, and some of the nice decorative touches. We weren't overall comfortable and the higher price was not worth the view.

Listing is unclear. The hallway has a small, hard single bed and the sitting/kitchen room has a single bed under the sofa. Neither were made up on our arrival and we had to find pillows and sheets, duvets, duvet covers etc. The hallway bedroom has no air con., there is no soap provided in the bathroom, there are no bath towels (just old, hard hand towels) and there is only one small bin. Worst of all the host does not communicate. On arrival, we could not reach her or her manager and had to wait around for his arrival. The host also did not reply to any subsequent messages from her guests during the stay. Otherwise, it’s a great little flat over a canal in a top location by the Rialto bridge.

Everything went wrong!

Many bad things happened that made me realize that if something goes wrong there is no one to help you. Twice the power went out for a couple hours. Those were nerve wracking. By a miracle, I found the fuses, different for each outtage. Then the key broke in the door and, luckily I had tweezers and one of us was inside. Otherwise, we would have been stuck outside without anything but our purses. No one to respond. And, when we lost power, there was no WIFI to communicate our problem. I also cut my hand badly opening a trundle bed. Luckily, I had bandages. Caveat Emptor. Stay at your own risk. Also, there was hardly any toilet paper, no garbage bags, and no oil, but 3 types of vinegar. There was salt, pepper, sugar, rice, a little pasta, vinegar, but that was pretty much it. I left a bunch of stuff. Hopefully, they left it for the next people. REMEMBER: Put a light on, the tv, boil water and use the toaster and the power WILL go out.

Loved the view

Suite is wonderfully close to Rialto Bridge. View from the windows down to the canal was a highlight of the suite. The down side was it was not too clean: shower curtain was very dirty, suite was quite dusty and dank (granted it is on a canal so dampness likely quite natural), cutlery in & dishes needed to be prewashed. There was an air conditioner but with the windows closed we coughed and were very affected by something in the suite so we changed tactics and kept the windows open and our coughing went away but this allowed the mosquitoes to have free reign....we chose the few bites over the coughing. The suite could be better decorated and easier to clean with not too much extra work; it had unnecessary stuff in it making it overly cluttered. We were given one roll of toilet paper for four days for two people. When we asked about this we were told most people purchase their own or we could use a key to get into a storage area to get some if we really wanted. We had three people help us with this as there were several possible cupboards but the one that key turned did not open. In ten years of using VRBO accommodation we have never had to purchase our own toilet paper for short term stays. On the third floor so not for folks with mobility challenges. Cassette/CD player with some CD's and we enjoyed playing some of the Italian music while sitting in the windows looking over the canal sipping our wine.

I'm sorry you had problems!That they were said immediately when you are there, surely I would have sent someone to solve them ...! Toilet paper (and various detergents etc.) are in the cabinet entering the shelf 10 cm from the floor... The air conditioning and heat pump has been changed recently, it works wonders ...! I'm glad you enjoyed the music watching the swellings pass under the windows!

Junto puente Rialto

Lo mejor del apartamento es la ventana-balconcito que da a un canal estrecho con continuo paso de góndolas. La situación es inmejorable junto al puente Rialto, a unos diez minutos andando de la Plaza San Marcos y a unos 25 minutos de la estación de tren. La acogida por parte de Alberto perfecta, habla castellano, te ofrece la información básica del lugar, atiende preguntas y ofrece su total disposición ante cualquier eventualidad. Para dormir son dos sofás con doble somier, uno en el salón y otro en la entrada, un poco latoso tener que preparar las camas todos los días,no son muy cómodos pero para unos días suficiente. Sólo hemos echado en falta el microondas. Decir también, que aunque dispone de cocina eléctrica, no hay extracción, podrías hacer una pasta por ej., pero freir algo me temo que no. Como resumen, alojamiento sin lujos pero correcto.

"El apartamento es exacta...

"El apartamento es exactamente como se puede ver en las imágenes, pero su ubicación es aún mejor que lo esperado. No sólo por la cercanía a los puntos de mayor interés de Venecia, estar en el apartamento tiene un valor turístico inimaginable. Poder sentarte en cualquiera de las dos ventanas a ver pasar las góndolas es una delicia. Además, al estar tan bien ubicado puedes volver en cualquier momento a descansar, conectar el aire acondicionado y respirar un poco, ya que el calor y la humedad son agotadores. El edificio, construido en 1500, tal como dice el anuncio es, en un primer momento, complicado de encontrar, lo que hizo que nos retrasáramos sobre la hora pactada de llegada, lo cual no fue ningún problema para la dueña, que nos esperó pacientemente y con una sonrisa a pesar de todo. Es un apartamento relativamente pequeño, especialmente el baño, pero muy acogedor y con mucho encanto. Por poner alguna pega, el hecho de que una de las habitaciones no tenga ventana, ya que se accede por ella desde la calle, y la cortina de la ducha, imposible ducharse sin que se empape el suelo del baño, pero lo compensa lo demás. No es un apartamento de lujo, pero es un lujo de apartamento. Lo recomendaría al 100 por 100 y volvería sin dudarlo."

"Lo mejor de este apartam...

"Lo mejor de este apartamento es sin duda su ubicación a apenas dos minutos andando del famoso Puente de Rialto. Las calles de su alrededor tienen mucha actividad comercial y sin embargo la casa es tranquila y silenciosa. Los propietarios fueron amables y puntuales al recibirnos y aunque el apartamento se encuentra en un edificio antiguo, la estancia es funcional y tiene todas las comodidades. A favor: Ubicación inmejorable. Amabilidad de los propietarios: Nos dejaron planos de la ciudad, nos recomendaron sitios a los que ir como la isla de Burano muy bonitos. Buena relación calidad-precio Barrio muy animado pero piso silencioso. Asomarse al balconcito y ver pasar las góndolas por debajo de ti... En contra:El sofá cama no es muy cómodo. Intentamos montarlo y no pudimos. Nos pareció que estaba roto (no quedaba horizontal del todo...). En cualquuier caso como éramos solo dos, dormimos en la otra habitación uniendo la cama a la cama supletoria. No se lo comentamos a los propietarios."
