La sala de estar tiene una chimenea de leña de piedra, TV / DVD / WiFi en un plan de piso abierto. La cocina tiene microondas, lavavajillas y lo esencial para cocinar, además de una gran mesa de comedor para amigos y familiares. Podrá relajarse en el spa al aire libre en la terraza trasera rodeada de pinos. Las habitaciones son espaciosas y confortables, con una habitación principal con una cama King, TV y baño privado. Host communicated well and responded with all questions and requests promptly. House was clean and as expected. If I’m going to be critical, kitchen could use updating as well as pans and utensils. Kitchen has no vent hood and no windows could be open so I had to prop open the door to vent out cooking smoke. Otherwise great stay!

A weekend in Winter Wonderland

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family had a great stay at Columbine Oak Retreat. There was a snow storm coming in on the Friday of our weekend stay so we asked the management company if we could possibly beat the storm and stay Thursday night as well. They graciously put us up in the cabin across the street for the night. Jennifer was friendly and easy to communicate with. We had the most snow we've ever seen in Big Bear and enjoyed every minute of it. The cabin itself is large, clean and fairly new. There are large comfy couches in the living room so the whole family could easily hang out there. The kitchen is pretty well stocked but I would say that the quality of the items are of a lesser caliber than the cabin itself. (Mismatched glasses and coffee cups, no wine glasses, etc.) We loved the jacuzzi after a day of skiing/boarding. (Remember to leave for the slopes early - the parking fills up quickly and there is traffic!) There is a hill right on the property to do some sledding and there are sleds in the garage. All in all, this is a very nice place to stay.

Really? And you still call that a good cleaning? Where are you COVID-19 cleaning precautions-

Very nice home to stay in

We enjoyed spending Thanksgiving in this house. It really had that cabin feel. It’s a bit more rundown then the pictures suggest, but not by much. There was evidence that the house is being slowly updated in spots. I do appreciate how clean everything seemed. Given the current pandemic, that was a bit of a concern going in. The house seemed spotless and fresh. I would suggest that when packing, you bring everything you need for kitchen/bathroom. Don’t make assumptions the house will have it. Overall, nice place.

Love the loaction

Property overall was great. Location is up in the mountains. Very beautiful and quiet lots of trees. Living space is open and large. I would highly recommend this place. I stayed in the summer. I recommend to owner to replace window screens since they are old and bugs were getting in. Dinning chairs need replacement. Finally front of house deck was missing a balusters not safe for small children.

Great time in Big Bear

Our family plus dog really enjoyed this cabin and location. I do think the pictures looked better then the quality. There can definitely be some improvement and a little TLC. But overall we had a great time in this cozy cabin. Didn’t dig that we had to take all the garbage and dispose it off site which was on the other side of town.

Cozy cabin close to the slopes

We had a great weekend here and especially enjoyed the cozy living room and fireplace and hot tub on the deck. Close to slopes, and nice and comfortable to relax here after a day on the mountain. Super easy check in process and great communication. Close to town for quick grocery trips. Good stuff.

Jacuzzi was awesome. Living room was very comfy and cozy. Master bedroom was great. Overall house was very clean and I would recommend. The only suggestion to make is to add a TV In 2nd bedroom that has queen bed. Property management company was excellent.

First the pictures are deceiving. Next the area is not good, way off the beaten track. The home is NOT warm and fuzzy. No way people live there and call it their home. The kitchen is not stocked..Salt... that s it...period.. a roll of paper towels and a sponge..Plates,pots and pans , utensils and thats it !

Reviewer Comments: We went so that my family could enjoy eachothers company as well as beautiful California; play cards, board games, eat homemade meals at night, outdoor activity by day.Everything was as described on the website and even better, we took a LOT of supplies & didn't need to the cabin had it all a turkey roaster, tea kettle, blender, even legos, board games and shampoo etc no need to take much. Seriously I have stayed in some cabins and bigger ones but there was something about this one besides the amenities there was love in the air. I have at LEAST 6 people who have asked me for the information so they can book their next family getaway. Thank you to the owners for sharing!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Easy organized check-in, great location, cozy and clean cabin. We had a wonderful time. If you bring a dog keep them close by as there were a lot of coyotes and a pack hanging out pretty much in the front yard. We would definitely stay again. A few suggestions though: the kitchen was really dark, It needs more lighting, more towels would be good especially with the jacuzzi.

Great Cabin for family/couples stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Excellent Big Bear Cabin in a quiet, secluded area of Big Bear. Went in August. Easy reservations, checkin and checkout. Very clean accommodations, comfortable beds, great kitchen, and terrific hot tub. Plenty of space in dining area and living room for eating, games, and entertainment. Really enjoyable neighborhood to stroll around. All on one level, but need to go up flight of stairs to access cabin. Soap, shampoo, conditioner provided. Basic load of linens, kitchen utensils, cookware, tableware, etc. If you think you need extras (eg towels, laundry detergent, kitchen trash bags) or have special kitchen needs (special knife, spices, coffee) try and bring your own. Dollar Tree store and Vons (next to each other) has just about anything you forgot to bring. 15 min or less drive to most parts of Big Bear Lake. Many places to rent bikes, kayaks, outdoor equipment. Would definitely rent again.

Overall not bad, but would change a few things

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property itself is in good condition. The outside spaces could use some general clean-up (spider webs covering the staircase when we walked up),and it would have been nice to have more outdoor furniture; but it was great to have the BBQ and jacuzzi. The property management company was very attentive (ex. dropped off ant spray when I notified them we found a few ant trails throughout the house, allowed early check-in). There were differences in things listed on VRBO versus the contract property company has you sign (check out time was listed as 11 am on VRBO but 10 am in the contract) so make sure to read the contract carefully. The kitchen is a great size and has most of the basics. Make sure to bring your own foil, plastic bags, AND trash bags because those are not provided (they provide one or two trash bags but that is it). Bedrooms are a good size and they put out extra towels which was nice to have on hand. Overall it was a good experience.
