Abernethy Cottage is a three-bedroom, two-bath second row beach house located 0.3 miles south of Garden City Pier. This house features a full-equipped kitchen complete with microwave and dishwasher, as well as a washer, dryer, central heat and air conditioning, wall-to-wall carpeting, and ceiling fans. Other features include a dining area with ample seating for large groups with two dining tables, extra seating at the breakfast bar, and a highchair for infants or small children. Four TVs (cable, one in living room and each bedroom) DVD player, stereo, and Wi-Fi are also provided. Sleeping accommodations include one king, two queen and two double-sized beds. Outdoor features include a partially covered porch with five rocking chairs and sundeck, picnic table, outdoor shower, charcoal grill, and handicap accessible ramp. No smoking. No pets. Maximum occupancy: 10

Conveniently located close to some of the best area attractions, Garden City Beach is directly south of Surfside Beach and ends on a peninsula at the mouth of Murrells Inlet. One of the most renowned attractions in Garden City Beach is the Pier at Garden City. Other points of interest include Marlin Quay Marina and restaurants Sara J's Seafood Restaurant, Gulfstream Café, and Original Sam's Corner.

Just south of Garden City Beach is Murrells Inlet, a seaside community considered the "Seafood Capital of South Carolina" and home to some of the nation's best golf courses.
