Hi Kathi, Thank you for choosing to stay with Luxury Coastal Vacations. Unfortunately, properties are in need of repairs and renovations periodically. At LCV, we do our absolute best to inform guests of the true state a property will be in during their stay. We communicate any and all construction projects, that we have been notified of, in the following ways: 1. In the description of the property on VRBO we have the following listed at the very top of the description: "Please note: A major restoration project will be occurring until Fall 2023, weather permitting. There will be extremely limited parking, balcony closures(if the balcony is closed- balcony furniture will be inside the unit), pool closures, and hard hats will be required to enter the buildings. Please do not enter areas that are marked by cones. The property will be very noisy and dusty." 2. In the rental agreement, we have an addendum, which the guest has to specifically sign that piece, that is set apart to be individually signed within in the agreement, in order for it to be brought to the guests attention. In your contract it stated: "Addendum for Mediterranean A major restoration project will be occurring until Fall 2023, weather permitting. There will be extremely limited parking and spaces cannot be guaranteed, balcony closures, pool closures, and hardhats will be required to enter the buildings. The property will be very noisy and dusty. Balcony furniture will be stored inside the units limiting space. *Off-site parking expenses will be the responsibility of the guest. 3. Before you sign the rental agreement mentioned above, we send you another email stating the extent of the work that will be done, to notify you a third time of the work. It is sent to your email, and we are able to see that you were able to view said email two times, on the same day you booked. That email stated: "Thank you for booking your vacation rental with Luxury Coastal Vacations! We're excited to have you stay with us! This notice is to ensure you are aware of the planned construction/restoration projects at Mediterranean. Details about the work are included in the disclaimer that's posted on the rental listing and/or in the addendum that'll be included in your rental contract. We have included the addendum below. As a reminder, Luxury Coastal Vacations only manages the unit you've rented, not the entire property which controls the construction, restoration, and other small projects. With this in mind, we are unable to offer any refunds for inconveniences that the work may cause. If you have questions regarding the scope or timeline of the work, please give us a call immediately at 877-859-0113 and we'll be happy to share the information the property has provided us with. We are available 7 days a week from 8 am to 8 pm CST. We look forward to having you as our guest! Property Addendum: A major restoration project will be occurring until Fall 2023, weather permitting. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback Jo Ann! We are glad to hear you enjoyed the unit and location overall, and we apologize for any confusion regarding what was provided! The start-up supplies we offer are based on industry standards, which is consistent with other rental agencies in the area. Condominium rentals are very different than hotels, which some people do not realize so we understand your viewpoint! What we provide is meant to get you through the first day or so of your stay without having to go right out to the store for supplies. Also, just to clarify regarding the salt and pepper, we are required to remove all food items per the Health Department to ensure we are abiding by state and local policies, which is why we are unable to provide any food items whatsoever! In response to the lamps, we have placed a work order for operations to evaluate the existing bulbs and replace as necessary, as well as bring out an extension cord for the lamp that was not near an outlet, so those items will be remedied ASAP!
