Great stay, friendly people

Had a great stay at this location with friends and family. The owners communicated great, the place was exactly as advertised and we couldn't have had a better stay. I would highly recommend.

Weekend Stay

We stayed in the Chalet at Governor’s walk this weekend and I can’t say enough about what a wonderful experience it was. The property is beautiful and extremely clean and well kept. In addition to having its own outside space at the Chalet, which we used extensively the guest has access to all of the deck space around the pool, which is like a resort oasis Stuart is a great host and I would highly recommend this property for a weekend or longer.

Private Oasis in ideal location

My husband and I stayed here for the weekend while visiting our son at FSU. The location was so convenient to everything we did. The chalet was perfect. It was clean,comfortable and nicely appointed. We felt like we had so much privacy in our little sanctuary and really enjoyed sitting outside with all Stuart's beautiful plants. We are actually going back next weekend so we didn't feel too sad leaving since we will be return so soon. Highly recommend this as a place to stay. Thank you Stuart

Great Location-2nd Time Staying

This was our second time staying. Perfect location for seeing our FSU student. Close enough to campus yet far enough from the hubbub to enjoy some family time.

Tallahassee Stay at Governor's Walk

Great location that met all our needs. Stuart was readily available for any and all questions and check-in and out was a breeze. The chalet was very clean and a good size for our family. The kitchen, bathroom and laundry had all the supplies we needed. Beds were comfy and there were plenty of linens and towels. Pictures accurately reflect the property.

A truly beautiful property, warm welcoming host

My husband and another couple who are friends stayed at the chalet this past weekend. We absolutely loved this property. It was well appointed, clean and had all of the comforts of home. Truly a home away from home! Each bedroom has its own bathroom so affords comfort and privacy when sharing with another couple. The grounds are also beautifully maintained, quiet and private. We felt like we were the only ones on the full property when we know we were not. Stuart was a fantastic host. Warm and welcoming from the start and always very responsive to any question we had. The location is also great, near a lot of store and restaurant options. We all agreed this was a great choice and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend it!

Very private with all the amenities

We had a great stay. Chalet is in a very nice neighborhood with restaurants within walking distance. House came with lots of amenities. Can’t think of anything that was overlooked. Even a nice welcome basket with snacks in kitchen and a travel toothbrush in the bathrooms which came in handy! Owner was very organized and communicative. The property was lovely and very private. Highly recommend.

Grateful for your hospitality!

My partner and I can't express our gratitude for the hospitality and welcome we received as we were in Tallahassee awaiting the expansion of our family with two newborn little boys! Stuart and Robin made sure we felt at home at one of the most gratifying and extraordinary points in our lives. The Chalet was absolute perfection and we could not have found a better place to bring our babies home! My in-laws stayed with us as well as our pups, and again - we never felt like we were traveling, but rather comfortable and cared for in so many ways. If you are looking for an outstanding gem, in the center of Tallahassee, this is it! I aspire to be a host like Stuart and Robin and the work, passion, and dedication they have devoted to this property and their guests shines through! Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts! We absolutely hope to be back as our sons age!

Outstanding!

After selling our home in Tallahassee and moving north, we returned for our first Christmas and stayed here for the 18 days. We could not have been more pleased with the accommodations and the sincerity of the owners that we were comfortable. We enjoyed walking the neighborhoods, the ease of getting anywhere in town, the quaintness of the property and more. We highly recommend this place as "homeaway" from home.

Spectacular place to stay.

I have stayed here several times. Always very clean and roomy. Great places to sit outside including by the pool. Would never know you're in the middle of the city as it's like a mini resort but very private. Definitely the place to stay in Tallahassee.

Crown Jewel of Tally-You Can Absolutely Trust these Owners

At the last minute, I needed to travel to Tallahassee for a night, but had some unique housing needs and some "wish lists" (mini refriderator, coffee pot, larger hotel room etc). My mother, who is in her mid 80's and I were coming to town to visit a relative, but much to our dismay I could not find any available hotel rooms or even a Bed and Breakfast? Unbeknowest to us, that weekend was student orientation for all incoming freshman students for FSU & FAMU! That means thousands of parents and teenagers had already booked accomodations months ahead. I took a chance on contacting the owner of this property and I am so glad I did. He responded immediately and was so understanding of what my last minute needs were. Also, his wife, Robin was so gracious when we arrived the next day and even had a basket of goodies for us to enjoy. The "chalet" is nestled in the corner of their beautiful piece of property and is a 2 bed/2 bath/full kitchen/living room/dining area. It was like a dream come true and more than anything we could have "wished for." It is almost brand new, impeccably clean, fully stocked with melt away comfortable beds. Thank you Mr/Mrs Reece for hosting us and we will be back!

Great Light and Privacy

A sunny and pleasing place to spend time; bedrooms, dining area and living room all have southern exposure. Much privacy, outdoor eating area. Very convenient location to downtown, yet on a quiet street.

Great Tallahassee home

This is the best secret in Tallahassee, a real find. My wife and I are retired in Montana but try to get out every winter for a month or so. We have used vacation rentals in New Mexico and California, but this is one of the best. We chose Tallahassee this year in order to visit our son (an FSU student) and his family. The 2-BR chalet is a separate small house located on a private compound behind the owner’s house. The compound also includes a swimming pool, a private drive entrance, and a second vacation rental (1-BR). The chalet is protected by tall fences and vegetation, and has a beautiful redwood deck and patio with outdoor table and chairs for our exclusive use. If the weather permits, you can have private lunches or breakfasts beneath a canopy of large oak and smaller Florida fruit trees and lots of plants. The house is stylish, modern and sophisticated in its decor, and has lots of windows, making it nice and sunny. The beds are very comfortable. Set in an older neighborhood in the desirable Mid Town section of Tallahassee, we were near the city center and university, but still a few blocks off the beaten track, secluded and quiet. The owners couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful, checking in with us to ensure we had everything we needed, and even providing a chalet cleaning service for only 50 dollars, which was excellent. We would rate the chalet A plus. We would love to stay here again, and plan to recommend it to our friends. We have found it to be the best short-term living opportunity in town. Our Siamese cat enjoyed it, too!

Hidden Oasis

This was a perfect place to stay while visiting our son at FSU! Stuart personally welcomed us and gave us a tour of our rental. A nice patio area to enjoy the pool and sit around and talk, a goodie basket with some snacks and drinks to get us started, and comfortable couches and beds to relax in. I wanted a place where we could hang out and visit with our freshman son and his new friends...we could not of asked for more! We were able to walk to downtown Tallahassee and enjoy the farmers market and restaurants, explore Lake Ella and do some shopping. We loved the space, location and our host! We will be back to enjoy more visits during his college years!

Not so pet friendly

Nicely decorated, lovely garden pool area shared with owners' home and additional rental bungalow. A welcoming goodie basket in the kitchen and toiletries in the bathrooms were a nice touch. We were disappointed that money was deducted from our "pet deposit" to vacuum up the dog hair left by our short hair terrier mix when it could not have required any more than what I would consider routine cleaning between renters.

Delightful and private!!

My husband and I are currently staying in this gorgeous chalet as we wait to move into our permanent home. I don't want to leave!! The property is gorgeous and private, like a tropical oasis. The chalet is open, bright and airy with all the amenities. The pool is clean and relaxing. We love the location, so easy to get anywhere in Tallahassee. The owners- EXCEPTIONAL!! When we arrived, we had a basket of goodies, soap and the necessities. They keep the property so nice and are there to answer any questions. They are friendly and allow you to have privacy. For anyone who want a wonderful stay in Tallahassee, my husband and I highly recommend this Guest Quarters!!

Excellant Stay

We stayed in this rental for the FSU/UF game this past weekend with another couple. The rental was prefect! The pictures don't do it justice and the owners are fantastic! The home is clean and 2 story with a bedroom and bathroom on each level and a kitchen. I loved that the owners went out of their way to stock the home with milk and small snacks so that you can have your coffee in the morning! I am definitely keeping this as an option for future trips to Tallahassee for game day. The only small complaint and this is coming from the men is a need for a bigger TV in the living room and that is only because we went back to watch football after the game. I thought the TV sufficed just fine! Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Perfect Place

Wish we would have known of this perfect place several years ago when we started coming to Tallahassee for football games. It's better than any hotel and we have stayed in most of them! A wonderful oasis right in the middle of town. The owners, Robin and Stuart, are the best. There when you need them but otherwise they allow their guests total privacy. The chalet is stocked with everything necessary for a very comfortable visit plus some. The property is in excellent shape and kept very clean due to the owners' attention to detail. It couldn't have been better. Try Clusters and Hops for dinner and the Hotel Duval for a great breakfast. Both are within walking distance. There are also beautiful parks for strolling, Lake Ella and Lafayette Park a few blocks away. We totally enjoyed our stay and hope to return over and over again. Thank you!

Absolutely amazing guest house!

This was not only the nicest house I have rented before, but the people were absolutely first class. Some times houses look great in pictures online, but awful in real life. I would argue that the pictures of this place do not do it justice. It was also much closer to FSU's campus then I originally thought. The kitchen had everything you need including milk, coffee, cereal, muffins etc. First class place!

FSU Parent's Weekend

Stuart and Robin were great hosts for our first FSU parent's weekend. The surroundings are beautiful and made for a great place to host a reunion with our daughter and old college friends. The accommodations are great with special little touches. And so close to everything.

Lovely House!

My wife and i had the pleasure of renting this beautiful and cozy house for a weekend. The house is in great condition with lots of space. It made our weekend get-away very relaxing and was convenient to all of the major attractions in Tallahassee. The owners were extremely hospitable and attentive to any of our needs. Would highly recommend.
