Aloha y Bienvenido a nuestra 'Pono Plantation Cottage', su escapada privada a Maui.

Ubicado en la ladera frente al hermoso Ka'anapali Ocean Resort. Relájese en la comodidad hawaiana vintage en nuestra espaciosa casa estilo plantación de 3 dormitorios y 2 1/2 baños. El International Colony Club, es una propiedad tranquila y bellamente cuidada de 10 acres ubicada frente a la playa Kahikili de Maui (Old Airport Beach), el patio de recreo de invierno de las ballenas jorobadas.

Nuestra casa de vacaciones ofrece 1500 pies cuadrados de alojamiento confortable para más de 7 huéspedes, camas king, queen y full size, una cocina totalmente equipada, amplia sala de estar / comedor con TV por cable, DVD e internet WiFi. Área de lavandería con lavadora / secadora. Hay dos hermosas piscinas en el lugar y estacionamiento fuera de la calle.

Disfrute de las espectaculares puestas de sol desde su patio privado privado con hermosos paisajes. Perfecto para el entretenimiento familiar y las barbacoas. Estamos a solo 3 minutos a pie de las mejores playas y parques de Maui.

Al lado se encuentra el famoso campo de golf Royal Ka'anapali y todas sus actividades favoritas de Maui: snorkel, surf, paddle, golf, tenis y compras ... a solo unos minutos de distancia. Nos encantaría compartir nuestra 'ohana con ustedes.

Exceptionally great stay

Our construction crew of 3 men stayed here. Owner was easy to communicate with and responsive. The unit was clean and very well maintained. No air conditioning (which is pretty common there) and the summer heat was more than expected. We ended up buying a portable AC and will be bringing it back with us.

Great space for three couples.

We were a group of 6 adults. Two of the bedrooms had an en-suite, the third bedroom had no en-suite and the third bathroom was at the far end of the house. Wasn’t as convenient but worked out okay. We were pleasantly surprised by how well the kitchen was supplied with condiments and other essentials. The property has a private patio which was used quite often. The down fall was its closeness to the highway road noise. Katherine was very good and checked in every so often to make sure all was well. All in all a wonderful place to stay..

Excellent value. Not a resort but definitely a home away from home.

This is a great place to spend a week with friends and family. Even better value if you have kids. Kathy is a wonderful host and that makes the stay even more pleasurable. Don’t bring anything with you if you are staying here. Pretty much everything you can reasonably want or need is on property.

Great Location!

We enjoyed our stay in beautiful Kaanapali. The location is great because we were less then a 10 minute walk to a beautiful beach and beautiful resort. We were only a five minute drive away from Dukes where we enjoyed delicious breakfast a few times right by the beach. The house accommodated 7 of us comfortably. Katherine the owner was very sweet and attentive to our needs. The location was perfect not far from nice restaurants and shopping as well.

Great little cottage in Maui (w/ kids)

The home had all the necessities you may need for your stay and some extras like beach chairs and toys. Kathy was a great host, very accessible if I had any questions. It fit six adults and a couple kids very comfortably. We loved having the pool for the kids as the beach nearby was a little intense for the littles (<3yrs). It’s a nice walk along the beach boardwalk (stroller accessible) to shopping and stores or a quick drive. The only thing I would have changed is the traffic noise, the home is situated on the edge of the property and you hear the highway at all hours. Some people mention the lack of AC being an issue in their reviews but we found the fans and breeze through the windows quite sufficient plus we left Canada to be warm! Overall a great stay in Maui!

Great Central Location for all activities

We really loved the bungalow in Kaanapali. There were 7 of us and there was ample room for everyone. The back yard was a great place to have morning coffee and sunset cocktails after a day of sun and fun. The kitchen layout let 3 of us work together when we wanted to cook meals at home. The main bathroom was a little small, and the appliances could use an update, but everything was functional. We didn't have the chance to meet the owner, Kathy, due to scheduling, but we spoke several times and she was always responsive. Overall, we will definitely come back to Pono Cottage if we are lucky enough to make this trip again. Mahalo Kathy!

Great location for a big family

This was a great home for our family. We had 5 teenagers with us and everyone was able to spread out adequately. Across the street from the best snorkeling from what we could tell. Very close to groceries and other supplies. Our night time lows were in the 70's and we were okay, but wouldn't want it to be much warmer in order to sleep comfortably without A/C. Katherine was a great host and open to feedback for a couple of small items.

Wonderful owner & home

My family of 7 adults stayed here from June 13th-20th. Kathy was very accommodating. Prior to our arrival she communicated very well with me to get information on what time we were arriving. We got in pretty late and she was available for us by phone to make sure we got to the house ok. Upon entry, the house was very clean and pretty much stocked with the essentials of any home. The kitchen had spices, flour, oil, pots and pans, you name it. Kathy even had a nice basket with a pineapple and some fruit and chocolate as a welcome gift. All the rooms were pretty spacious. Two of the rooms had a shower. There was another room with a shower but it was pretty tight in there with the washer/dryer & toilet. Each room has a ceiling fan and another portable fan. It was extremely hot a couple of nights and found ourselves sweating in the middle of the night even with the fans on. On most nights there is a very nice breeze if you open all the windows. Kathy provides all sorts of beach items...chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, towels, etc. Even inflatable floaties for kids and a couple of extra swimming trunks in case you forgot them. Such a nice touch! The house is right across the street from the beach. We made daily trips. It was great. I would have rated the overall experience as 5 stars. The only cons I would say are the trash cans are so far away from the unit and it would be nice if the unit had central air. Otherwise you will love it and Kathy's hospitality!!

Lovely home and beach access

The Pono cottage was very nice, and owner Kathy Hamada was very accomodating---even allowing for sharing toys with my grandsons! We rented from a baby rental place, and the owner had the equipment in the house, ready to go. The bedrooms are quite nice, and two of the baths are fine. The third, half bath, is not as nice---shares with hot water heater, and washer/dryer, and the shower was a bit difficult to direct the spray. Overall, the home, yard and nearby pool are fine, but it was unseasonably hot, and without air conditioning was uncomfortable during the day, and some nights as well. Also, would be helpful to leave the guests more information---like where to put the trash and recycling--- Overall, a very nice home, helpful owner, and very suitable for 2 families.

Great Location with everything you need

Aloha! We loved the Pono Plantation Cottage! Katherine the owner of cottage met us upon arrival and showed us around her home. Tons of space for 5 adults, well equipped kitchen, towels, linens and beach supplies. All the comforts of home. Location is great, quick walk to one of the best beaches and snorkeling areas in Maui, board walk to all the hotels, restaurants and Whalers village. Pool at location was wonderful and warm. Loved having a private fenced big back yard with a bbq to use. The only negative was the road noise from the hwy right there but WE WHERE IN MAUI so that was minor. Katherine checked in a couple times to make sure everything was good. We loved our stay and would definitely book with Katherine again! Mahalo!

Great location

Such a lovely week at this Hawaiian style cottage. We loved being so close to the beach with Lahaina just a short drive away. Great communication with our host. Our group of 7 (5 adults and 2 small children) had plenty of room. We appreciated the use of the pack and play and all the beach supplies...umbrellas, chairs, toys for the sand, towels, boogie boards.....as well enjoyed grilling in the backyard.

Amazing place. Plenty of room. Family Friendly.

This was my first time renting a house and Katherine was amazing and kind. The home was very spacious and comfortable. The kids really enjoyed the community pools and walking straight to the beach.

Great location!

We really enjoyed our stay at Pono Plantation. Even though the house wasn't air conditioned, there are plenty of fans and with the windows opened, it stays very comfortable. Kathryn was the perfect hostess. She kept in contact to make sure everything was ok. It is located conveniently north of the shopping area of Lahaina, about a 15 minute drive. There's a great beach across the highway with parking or a short walk. We would definitely rent again.

Spring Break Fun In Kaanapali

We spent 11 wonderful days at The Pono Plantation Cottage for a family reunion in March of 2016. It was the perfect location for our two families to be together but large enough for all of us to have private time as well. Kathy was wonderful about meeting our needs, and giving us lots of advise about the island of Maui and things to enjoy with our kids. The location was great to explore Lahaina and and all the wonderful beaches. The Cottage was well stocked with everything we needed including beach chairs, towels and fun toys for the kids in our group to use. We had a problem with the electricity and as soon as we let Kathy know and she dealt with it immediately and and made sure it didn't impact our holiday. The front bedroom of the Cottage has some road noise so I would recommend ear plugs, but The Cottage at Pono Plantation was great for our trip and we would gladly stay there again! It was a great place for our family to relax together and have fun!

A great place to stay!

We are a family of five, and we were in Maui for a family reunion. The cottage worked out perfectly for us. There was plenty of room, and the cottage had all of the amenities. Because the other people at the reunion were staying in condos in hotels, we held many of the family dinners at the cottage, and it had plenty of room for 20 of us to mingle and catch up with one another. The location in Kaanapali was close to many beaches and some excellent snorkeling. Owner Katherine was very friendly and helpful. She put us in touch with local people for bike riding adventures, and had great advice on getting around the island, booking a Luau, etc. When we arrived, Katherine met us at the house, showed us around, and made us feel welcome. She let us know she was available if we had any questions. So in summary, the Pono Plantation Cottage came as advertised, and met all of our needs. I would wholeheartedly recommend it as an excellent place for a family to stay when on the lovely island of Maui!

Pono Plantation Cottage

We stayed at Kathy's cottage for 7 nights arriving on Halloween evening. Our flight was delayed but Kathy was so accomadating for us. She arranged for our late arrival and called first thing the next morning to see if everything was ok. The plantation style cottage and open floor plan were perfect for our family. Everyone could get together and have plenty of room (there were 4 adults and 2 small children) and with 3 bedrooms and 3 baths we all could have our personal space as well. The house was very clean and everything we needed was there, including beach toys. The location was great (just a short walk across the street to the beach) and the property was very well maintained. We enjoyed the two swimming pools and it was great to have a fenced back yard for the kids. Kathy was very helpful. She made suggestions on where to eat (Slappys was great) and she called several times to see that all was well. I would recommend this property to anyone wanting to have lots of room and wanting to be in the Kaanapali area. I would certainly stay there again and am looking forward to our next visit.

Awesome

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. 4 adults and 2 kids under 3 Fit no problem. The owner was courteous and gracious and wanted to make sure we felt at home. The only downside was the noise from the highway. But it was awesome being minutes from the beach and having the huge backyard for the kids to play in. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

spacious and close to the beach

This is a large unit that is close to the beach, which is directly across the highway from The International Colony Club. The road noise is very loud as it is situated at the traffic light at Honoapiilani Hwy and Puukolii road, especially in the third bedroom, my daughter ended up sleeping on the couch. We are still waiting on our security deposit back after six months.
