Great Location & Perfect Atmosphere for Relaxing Getaway

Thoughtfully designed & decorated cottage made us feel right at home. Stocked with all the standards of home which made it even better. The house is right across the street from the private pool entrance, very convenient! Neighborhood is private and feels extremely safe. Public beach access is a short walk or quick drive away. Plenty of shops and restaurants a quick golf cart ride away … highly suggest renting one! The overall location is perfect IMO as you’re close enough to get to everything quickly but just far enough away to get a good nights sleep.

Florida March 2024 Vacation

The house was as described in the listing. The house had everything we needed and was very comfortable and cozy. The bathroom could use an update but nothing is perfect. The screened in porch of the master bedroom was a great place to relax and enjoy the warm weather. The kitchen was one of the best equipped out of any other similar places we have stayed. We loved the location/layout of the Polynesian Gardens complex. There are about 70 single story units in the location and it's like a little village all on it's own with quite small streets lined with mature trees and foliage in the complex that we strolled every morning and night. This layout from our exploration of the area was unique to the Siesta Key area. The pool area in the complex was fantastic and large. They also have pier on the channel side that was a great place to watch life go by. Some of the downsides of the area are the gulf side beach access is very limited. The closest public beach access is about a 1/2 mile or slightly more and there is very limited beach area there for public use. Siesta beach which is one of the nicest and largest beaches we have been to but is approx. 1.25 miles away. You must get to the Siesta beach early AM if you want to park. We went in March (Spring Break Time) and the traffic can be horrendous so be prepared! Overall it is a great place to stay and we would stay there again.

My grandsons loved the pool and wanted to be there all the time. House was immaculate and extremely well appointed. Comfortable, cozy and conveniently located. We’ll be back. And tank for the late checkout!

Good location for a quiet stay with young kids. Pool was lovely, the beach was walkable but we preferred to drive to siesta beach, which was no problem. Umbrella needs replaced.

Quaint cottage in Siesta Key

We enjoyed our stay. The house was nicely furnished, had loads of nice linens and towels. The kitchen was extremely well-stocked. The owner was very responsive, even driving out to unlock the unit when we had locked ourselves out at 8:30 at night. The gas grill didn't work very well and the bathrooms could use updating. Overall very nice home.

Awesome stay, beautiful home

I had an awesome stay at this beautiful home; the house was fully equipped with everything we needed for our stay and even for our trip to the beach. No need to bring any utensils, linen or even beach toys as they have it all. The conditions of the house was impecable. Although the house doesn’t have direct access to the beach you have 2 public beach access near by and it a 2 min drive you’ll be there. I would certainly repeat at this home at another time. This is what I would call a memorable stay!

Beautiful Home in a Beautiful Location

We had an excellent experience during our Siesta Key vacation. The house was the perfect size for our family of four. The location is perfect! Very close to the main island entry point and a short drive to the beach or village. (5-10 minutes). The home was very clean and exceptionally well stocked. The owners have everything you need right there to make your stay comfy. There are even multiple pillows so you can have a soft or firm! We drove to the beach 3 of our 6 days and easily found parking and a great spot on the beach. We had to contact the management for a very minor issue which was resolved within hours. The pool is close to the unit and is great if you need a shorter day in the sun! We will definitely be back to Siesta Key and will definitely stay here.

Great Location

We stayed here over Spring Break with 3 teens. It was the perfect spot to enjoy all the local beaches around siesta. We also enjoyed spending some time watching the boats go by off the dock. Everything was clean and it was nice to have all the beach gear we needed right there and ready to use.

Comfortable home away from home during the month of February!

We love Siesta Key and the Villa Laughing Gull was everything the pictures and discription stated and more. The kitchen was well equipped with spices and cooking utensils everything you needed and more to prepare dinners and desserts. The beds were very comfortable. The south village was in walking distance as was Cresent Beach. Loved the trolly to go to the Siesta Key Village. I would definitely recommend the villa, Polynesian Gardens community is quite and wonderful the pool was great. Sean was there to greet us and help set up Netflix on TV. Beach equipment and cooler were good glad we did not have to bring ours down from the North.

One of the best holiday we had

The villa is located in Siesta Key, 10 minutes from the beach. There is free tram from Turtle beach to Siesta Key Beach with stop in front of Polynesian Gardens. The villa was fully stocked with everything we needed! We definitely recommend this place!

Lovely place!

The villa, located in Polynesian Gardens, is such a nice, peaceful spot to stay. It's a lovely, cozy home that is nicely decorated and very clean! All the amenities and extras to enjoy your stay are provided - from beach accessories to kitchen and bath needs. The nearby pool is large and nice, with pretty flowers and trees surrounding it (as well as everywhere in the rest of the well-maintained neighbourhood). Siesta Key's gorgeous white sand Crescent Beach is a close 5 minute walk. Stores and restaurants are walkable distance, too. Owner was easy to reach, pleasant, and attentive. Would definitely like to stay there again. Lovely.

Spring Break 2016

The Siesta Villa Laughing Gull located in the Polynesian Gardens was a wonderful place for our family to stay. The location is wonderful. Located just 2 miles to the Siesta Village to your north and 3 miles to Turtle Beach to the south. We were welcomed by The Management Company upon arrival and a beautiful fresh fruit basket. The place was very clean and had everything we ever needed to cook, bake, relax at the house and/or amenities for the beach or pool. We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent condo and location

We (myself and my husband) stayed for 5 nights and had an excellent time! The condo was so nice, very clean, well stocked and in a fabulous location. It was close to the beach and bike rentals. The resort was quiet and the pool was very nice - lots of shade and cleaned each day. Sean Altice was our contact and we found him very nice and prompt to deal with. We would definitely look to stay the next time we visit Siesta Key.

First Winter Get-Away

I rented Laughing Gull Villa for 6 1/2 weeks. This was my first time as a snow bird. I loved every minute of it, and in no small part due to where I was staying. The house was charming, fully equipped, clean and very comfortable for me and a variety of guests who came and went throughout the time. Renting a house is so much better than a condo. You feel the privacy and uniqueness of an individual property that no condo could ever provide. Polynesian Gardens is an awesome community. The people are friendly, the grounds beautiful, the pool area impeccable, and the dock on the intracoastal a wonderful place at the end of a beach day or outing to hang out with cocktails meeting neighbors. The beach is the best ever and an easy walk from the villa. Sean and Kara Altice were terrific to work with, from start to finish. Whenever I had a question or a request, Sean responded immediately and with enthusiasm. I highly recommend renting from the Altice family, and hope I can do so again next season.

Great Place to Rent!

This is a great property, well maintained and convenient to the beach, music and restaurants. The unit is decorated tastefully in a beachy theme and is very well appointed. The kitchen is fully equipped to cook and serve anything. The owner is very kind and responsive. She has made the place very welcoming and it feels more like a home than a rental. She has thought of everything. It is well supplied with beach chairs and an umbrella. The lanai is great to sit out on. The Queen bed is extremely comfortable. The complex is very quiet. The cable service and internet connectivity was excellent. I would definitely recommend this property. This was the first time I used VRBO and was greatly impressed.

The Beaches are only a short walk away, and activity choices abound all around you. The active and fun for all ages, Siesta Village is just over a mile away, and one of the best beach bars on the key, The Snikki Tiki, (live music and great F&B) is just 1/4 away - so easy to walk to and from. Yes, this is Paradise!
