Host was very kind, welcoming and accessible for questions. Place was clean, cozy, comfortable with plenty of kitchen utensils, towels, etc. Small decorated Christmas tree was a super nice touch. Loved the view of the lake and the solitude...a nice and much needed break from the rat-race! Thank you! Will very likely come again!

Very at home feel. The host was very kind and had left snacks and drinks including coffee which was very nice. The perfect spot to get away as a couple or with a small family. The scenery on the property was absolutely gorgeous. Would definitely rebook and highly recommend anyone else to book

It was super clean comfy and right on the lake. 1 mile from the boat ramp with plenty of parking for our boat. Had a wonderful time will definitely be back..

We had a great stay, views were beautiful. The place was very peaceful and a great getaway. The rental was neat and clean. The communication was easy and quick response from the host. Rules and/or instructions were easily followed.

It was super clean and we were surprised to see a bucket with some treats when we arrived. Our 3 year old loved the place especially the treats, and so did we. It was so quiet and peaceful and it feels like home. Seeing the lake from the front porch was so nice. We didn’t stay long to the first plan due to work, but we would visit again for sure!! The hosts were amazing with communication and it was great to actually have communication. Thank you hosts for letting us stay there!!

The hosts are very nice and answer promptly to all your questions before, during and after the stay.We were impressed with how clean and equipped that place was. You can come in just with your luggage and have a great weekend. The kitchen is fully equipped but if you don’t feel like cooking, the restaurant around the corner has delicious food. We brought our morkie Baby with us and she felt at home. They even had puppy bags to keep the property clean.

Loved the location. The ease of using the property which is right on the water. We were able to take our kayaks out back and fish right out there. We think we found our new secret fishing spot. Thank you so much for the hospitality. The only disappointment was that the fire pit was not safe to use and we avoided using it. It was a great birthday weekend for my wife.

Nice quiet location with super access to the lake. Clean and neat. The snack basket awaiting us was a nice touch. We've marked this in our favorites for a future visit. Lack of wifi wasn't a problem since there is cell reception.

Very well kept , clean and beautiful place. Right down Rd from ramp or a few miles for shopping. We have stayed in few other VRBO places in the area, and to us it's the best we have stayed in. Very beautiful place and we will be staying again.

Gem on Lake Guntersville — Relaxing & Rustic

We just stayed at “On The Lake at South Sauty!” and it was everything we hoped for—and then some.First off, the location is ideal. Just a short stroll (under half a mile) from the South Sauty boat launch, the lakefront views right from the deck are stunning—perfect for mornings fishing and evenings soaking in the sunset.The mobile home is cozy but well-designed for a family of five: two bedrooms (a double in one, twins in the other) plus a shared bath, and a full kitchen to cook up those catch-of-the-day feasts .A fun bonus: entertainment is built in! The den features Dish TV with PlayStation 2 No Wi‑Fi, but honestly, it was refreshing to unplug and reconnect.Bottom line: This is the kind of spot where you come for fishing and family time, and leave with great memories (and maybe a sunburn). Rustic charm, thoughtful extras, and a peaceful lakeside escape—highly recommend!

Great place!

We had the best time here. It is a little slice of lakeside paradise. The owner’s were very responsive with any questions we had. It was very clean. The bank was shallow enough to swim and also put our kayaks in to paddle around. We will definitely be renting again!

This little part of South Sauty has been a part of my husband's life since childhood. My husband recalls learning to ski here and spending afternoons floating and swimming around in the lake. South Sauty is beautiful! Bring your camera. There is just no better view in my opinion than the view from our deck. I hope you fall in love with this little part of Alabama and come back year after year.

This property has been a source of fun for our family for many years. We have enjoyed playing baseball in the yard, having picnics, and jet skiing. There are lots of memories here. We hope you enjoy your time at our little place on the lake.
