Pretty condo but island is overbuilt

The condo was quiet, clean and full of light. But there was no easy beach access and in general the Isle of Palms is really overdeveloped. There are inns, condos, and Mac mansions everywhere. The north end of the island where wild dunes is is particularly bad- you can see these high rises being built practically at waters edge.

Beautiful Condo

The pictures listed on the website do not do this condo justice. It is absolutely beautiful! It’s located on the point in the Wild Dunes community. The pool and tennis courts are close. The beach is close as well but we never ventured that way to see exactly where it was. Parking is tight but for 2 cars it worked with one car in the garage and one car in the driveway. Overall, we would definitely stay here again. Customer service was wonderful!

Beautiful view & easy access to beach. Thank goodness we were on the first floor when the elevator was being repaired after we checked in. We had 2 in our party that have a difficult time with stairs but my son did the moving of bags at check out. Kitchen basics are needed. Had a wonderful time& would ask for the same unit again. Thank you.

Beautiful rental

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property is beautiful overall. Great kitchen with lots of extras for a vacation rental, like a food processor, lots of glasses and utinsels and plenty of pots and pans. There is even a waffle iron. When we arrived we noticed some things that were missed when it was cleaned: sticky spots on the stovetop and fridge, stairs that needed to be vacuumed, hair on the bathroom floor. Nothing major, but kind of gross. Also, one of the windows in the living room didn't shut all the way, so it was a bit warm in that room. We loved being so close to the pool, but beach access was definitely an issue. With 5 kids, having to pile everyone into the car and find parking near a beach access was a pain. Enough so that we probably wouldn't rent this property again.

Property manager berated us

I came to this property for a nice relaxing golf trip before my brothers wedding, with some of his friends from high school, his stepdad and his cousin. They all smoke, I do not, I was called and berated by a British woman about smoking, because the cleaner miscommunicated. I don’t blame the cleaner, English was clearly not her first language, but the way this woman spoke to me and flat out lied about the details of the contract was unacceptable and in direct violation of the code of ethics of real estate in my state. As a realtor I like to think I understand contract linguistics and obligatory statements pretty well, she claimed they were able to do random checks on the property, which they weren’t, said we’d be kicked out for smoking, which was not mentioned in the contract, and told us we were on thin ice, causing a less enjoyable stay all around. I will not be returning and I would strongly recommend people go elsewhere.

Mother’s Day

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Initially, the unit was beautiful and well suited for our 5 adults. Upon opening the cabinets, we discovered that all of the glasses were dirty and required washing before use. Not good. It went beyond the glasses - dishes and cookware too! The dishwasher wasn’t working which we didn’t discover until the following morning so we had to hand wash everything from our dinner meal! However, Maintenance was prompt and friendly. The ceiling in the kitchen leaked into the floor when the upstairs shower was on. The screen porch screen was nearly torn completely from the frame and flapped onto you so sitting on the porch was unpleasant. We ended up eating the rest of our meals elsewhere, packed up our remaining food and left a day early. We travel to Charleston approximately 6 times/year to visit family but won’t book a unit here again. 😣

Family Vacation

Enjoyed this property with just a few minor inconveniences. The listing is accurate and appointed very well. Plenty of space for our family of 5. Location was great…although some times it felt too far from everything but nothing that our golf cart rental couldn’t get us to in about 20 min. Inconveniences: 1) Couldn't sit out on porch at all due to a big wasp nest. Called maintenance and they came to spray but they were still there the remaining time we were there. 2) there is no grill. We are a family that likes to grill out as much as we eat out on vacation. After getting groceries on our first day there, which included steaks, we quickly realized there was not a grill at the townhouse or there was not a grill available to use. We went to Walmart (40 min away) to get a cheap grill. This was not listed as an amenity; I just assumed as it has always been included in all of our VRBO stays at other locations. 3) we received a text on the 2nd day of our stay stating that the pool was closed due to the emergency phone system being down. The next day, when we returned from the beach, we wanted to cool off in the pool. After swimming for 15 min, security showed up and told us that the pool was closed due to no emergency phone. We told him that all 5 of us in the pool had a cell phone in case of emergency and he responded with a very rude comment. We had 3 kids with us that love to swim on vacation so the pool being closed 4 days of our trip was a bummer.

We decided to go full island mode and rented a street-legal golf cart (LSV). What a game-changer! We zipped around Isle of Palms and Sullivan’s Island, feeling the salty breeze in our hair. The best part? We used it for dinner outings too—no parking hassles, just pure fun. Don’t miss the Outpost at Isle of Palms Marina. It’s like a treasure trove! Grab a souvenir—a seashell necklace or a quirky T-shirt—as a memento of your island escape. Need a caffeine fix? Their coffee is top-notch. And when hunger strikes, the restaurant serves up fresh seafood with a side of ocean views. For the adventurous souls, book an excursion to Caper’s Island. We did, and it was unforgettable. Picture this: boating through winding creeks, spotting dolphins, and discovering hidden oyster beds. It’s a slice of Lowcountry paradise. There was plenty of room, thr house was clean, it was quiet and peaceful, and just a short golf cart ride away from the beach. I would suggest renting a golf cart if you stay at this property just to make it easier to get to the beach. It had a beautiful view off of the porches to enjoy! Island Realty is always so easy to work with and super helpful! We will definitely be renting through them again in the future. 10/10 would definitely recommend!

Spacious, comfortable, convenient location

We were pleasantly surprised with this Linkside Ct townhome. We found it very spacious and comfortable. It is minutes from a ton of great amenities. Our 2 year old and his cousins loved the garage!
