A superb property, a superb location and views to die for. Had a fantastic 2 week family holiday, the pool was an absolute god send on the hot days!! Food in Beynac was superb, ate out most nights and food cannot be faulted! Fantastic! Thank you Catherine for your hospitality!!

Our stay at the Terrace in Baynec

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Terraces rental in Beynac. The spacious property easily accomodated our family of 6. The pool was nice when the weather became sunny. An absolute gem, we wished we could have stayed longer.

Truly amazing place!

This house is amazing - the views are the best you’ll ever have and the accommodation is fantastic (especially the swimming pool). We did lots of walking as well as canoeing and visiting the local chateaux. Recommend 100%!!!

An amazing location

We have had the best stay in Beynac in Catherine's house. The handover process was easy, and very welcoming. The house is the perfect location for getting to know Beynac and the surrounding villages better. The view of the Dordogne and evening views of the hot air balloons passing along the river are exceptional. A perfect stay!

What a great location. Accommodation is very well appointed with everything you need. Excellent walking access to all the essential facilities in the village. Try and travel light as there is a walk to the property along an uneven path which with heavy case will be a challenge.The hospitality and welcome from Catherine is exceptional and nothing was too much trouble.A great stay! Lovely place and very helpful host too. The view from the balcony is beautiful and the pool is a great feature to keep the kids happy whilst the adults relax and take in the view.Plenty of local activities, we did the Accrobranche (Go Ape) near Sarlat, the yellow canoes from Vitrac to Beynac and the quad safari over near Bergerac. All really good fun.Very unusual (and good) to have its own parking garage, albeit it’s up a narrow lane in a big car.Highly recommended and hope we will be back!Thanks to our host, Catherine!

The house was equally as good as the photographs suggested, if not better. The location really is excellent. A two-minute walk from the restaurants and shops of the village, including a kayak station, as well as a less than 10-minute walk up to the castle. However, because the house is situated above the Main Street, and looking out to amazing views, you feel detached from the hubbub below and can enjoy peace at all times of the day. It was very hot when we stayed, hitting 40 Celsius, but the house stayed cool, with a/c benefitting in the bedrooms, and the pool was of course a great asset. Having convenient and free parking was also helpful.

The most magical view

We had a wonderful stay here. Catherine, the hostess, was lovely and the house was comfortable (the sitting room was especially spectacular—even better than the photos). It was great to have the AC available, especially with a toddler. We spent most of our two weeks on the terrace admiring the view of the river, watching hot air balloons, herons, swans, and swifts fly past. The pool, also, was a treat. And Beynac itself is a truly dreamy destination. We’d highly recommend and hope to be back one day.

Excellent property very good owner

One of the best Vrbo properties we have stayed in. Owner met us at the village shop and took us to the private parking and the property. Catherine, the owner then went out of her way to get us booked into a local restaurant for an evening meal, as we were delayed on our journey and too late to shop. Location was perfect for all the local shops and restaurants. Beautiful view from the 2 terraces and swimming pool cleaned every day, all household appliances well maintained and oven was brand new, so all round excellent experience and thoroughly enjoyable stay. Situated in the golden triangle of the Perigord and all that has to offer. Would definitely go again. Thanks Catherine

Lovely Holiday!

The house was more beautiful and well appointed than described. The views of the chateaus, hillside and nightly hot air balloons were relaxing while sitting by the pool or on the deck after a day of sight seeing. Please be aware that the house is not easily accessible if you have mobility issues. A car is highly recommemded and a minimum of luggage since the walk from the garage is rocky and steep. However, when you get to the house it is well worth the effort and you will not be disappointed.

Thank you for your message, indeed we have an exceptional house in the heart of the village of Beynac with its view of the river and the castles. Having a private garage in a medieval village is a luxury even if you have to walk 200 meters through a beautiful alley. Merci pour votre message, effectivement nous avons une maison exceptionnelle au cœur du village de Beynac avec sa vue sur la rivière et les châteaux. Avoir un garage privé dans un village médiéval est un luxe même si on doit faire 200mètres à pied par une belle ruelle typique.

The best house in Beynac et Cazenac

Wow! Les Terrasses is a very special place. There’s a private parking space/garage right in the heart of the village and very close to the house, which is an absolute bonus and very rare. The location and views are wonderful, South facing and overlooking the Dordogne river. The private pool is a very good size with a lovely sun lounging area, then there’s a beautiful separate patio area with charcoal barbecue surrounded by a small well kept garden and fragrant jasmine tumbling over the entrance. The upper balcony/ seating area has an electric sunshade and perfect large table and chairs for alfresco dining, with lovely pots of lavender. You can watch hot air balloons gliding over in the evenings and early mornings, it’s truly magical. Then there’s the house itself, an historic stone building over 3 floors, sympathetically renovated to retain original features. Immaculately clean and very well equipped and with a dishwasher and washing machine. The view from the second floor double bedroom is just gorgeous. Catherine and her husband are also perfect hosts. Judging by the surrounding properties, Les Terrasses has the best pool, the best views, and it’s a wonderful house, what more could you ask for?

We loved staying in this beautiful, well equipped and maintained home overlooking the Dordogne River. There is a balcony with a wonderful view of the river and environs and pool with a similar view. It a great location to see the sights of the area or just enjoy village life: morning walks up to the chateau then down to the excellent bakery for croissants or to the local market or butcher shop to purchase food for the day. There are also several good restaurants and interesting shops in the village. We can’t wait to visit again.

A nouveau un séjour merveilleux

C'est la deuxième fois que je séjourne dans la maison de Madame Peiro à Beynac. J'adore cette maison, sa situation, sa vue, son charme... Les prestations et les équipements sont d'un très bon niveau, bien au dessus de l'offre locative moyenne. Nous y reviendrons très vite.

Schlechte Betreuung des Objektes

Leider wurde in der onlineAnzeige nicht mitgeteilt, dass die Garage in einer grossen Felswand eingelassen und nur über einen sehr schmalen( für ein SUV) und steilen Weg erreicht werden kann. Dies führte schon bei der Begrüßung zu Unstimmigkeiten bei der Schlüsselübergabe. Ebenso wurde der Pool erst nach einer Woche gereinigt. Nachdem es in der 2. Woche auch sehr stürmisch war und im Pool viele Blätter, tote Insekten usw. lagen, sind wir nicht mehr geschwommen, da auch m.E. die Pumpe abgestellt war. Das Ehepaar, was für solche Arbeiten zuständig gewesen wäre, wurde erst am Tag der Abreise wieder gesichtet.

Je suis très fière de ma maison, j'offre une maison exceptionnelle, une piscine très propre et un grand garage dans le village médiéval de Beynac ce qui est très rare. Il y a des gens qui ne seront jamais heureux et qui sont particulièrement aigris ! Je leur déconseille de louer des maisons de charme et surtout il faut se remettre en question surtout lorsqu'on se permet de laisser ses poubelles infectes et laisser sous la pluie les coussins du salon et les matelas du lit bébé !

Beautiful property: stunning location

The owner met us and showed us everything. The house was beautifully appointed and had the best equipped kitchen/dining area I have experienced in a vrbo. We were two couples and the house accommodated us nicely. The views are sublime. Overall, a wonderful experience!

Lovely House, Sad to Leave!!

We enjoyed a fantastic week at the house; great communication from Catherine, especially the check-in process - all very easy. The house had all the amenities you need for a home from home experience and is beautifully decorated and furnished. The view from the pool area and the terrace are amazing, that words can't really describe, wonderful; the Dordogne river is literally on your doorstep. The pool is great and a welcome refresher after a hard morning strolling around the various nearby attractions; actually it's where I spent most of the afternoons. Will definitely be back again! Schönes Ferienhaus in toller Aussichtslage

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt rundum genossen. Das Haus ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet, alles sehr ordentlich und sauber. Die Betten sind bequem, die Ausstattung ist komfortabel und bietet alles, was man für einen gelungenen Urlaub benötigt. Die Vermieterin ist sehr freundlich und gibt wertvolle Tipps für Unternehmungen, Restaurants, Wanderungen und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Der Blick vom Schlafzimmer und von den Terrassen auf die Dordogne ist einfach wunderbar. Und bei sommerlichen Temperaturen kann man sich im Pool herrlich erfrischen. Wir würden das Ferienhaus jederzeit wieder mieten.

Au cœur d'une magnifique région, surplombant la Dordogne, aménagé dans une maison ancienne mais avec un équipement tout à fait moderne, ce logement nous a vraiment permis de passer une belle semaine de repos ponctuées de visites et de ballades. Merci à Catherine pour son accueil.
