Unbeatable sunset view and cozy space

Our multigenerational family vacation could not have been better accommodated! We were very comfortable at George’s lovely condo. The views from the lanai are unbeatable especially at sunset. We enjoyed opening up the windows and feeling the island cross breeze. Very easy walk to the beach and essential spots in Kihei. Nice pool to dip in between beach outings. We had everything we needed from kitchen supplies, bedding, to beach gear. George was extremely kind, helpful, and accommodating. Thank you for having us!

Perfect family location

The property was updated and modern. The location was perfect for beach days (just a walk away) and centrally located on the island which allowed us to maximize our time exploring Maui.

Great location

We enjoyed our stay, the property is as listed . The kitchen is a bit small but had everything needed for our stay. It was wonderful having a washer/dryer during our stay. The master bedroom / bathroom was perfect. the second bedroom worked well . the additional blow up bed worked for our teenage boys.With six of us at this rental did not seem too small.There was coolers to use for our day trips, as well as snorkeling items, water toys etc. that was a wonderful addition. the parking space was extremely small so we chose to park on the other side of the bushes which worked great.Our host was very attentive and checked in with us to see if there was anything we needed or alerted us to any needed information.We would absolutely stay here again.

Family vacation

This condo is excellent! Great location with sunset views! The kitchen has everything you need. Lots of beach chairs and snorkeling gear. Get up have coffee and breakfast, grab chairs and head to the beach! Shops and restaurants are an easy walk. Owner George was super easy to work with and checked in with us to see if we needed anything. Will definitely be back!

Amazing views and spotlessly clean

We love being able to come to Maui and this condo is one of the best places to stay on the island. Steps from Kam 3 beach but without the noise from the main road. Views include the ocean and sunset and West Maui over tree tops and the naturally preserved land across the street. The condo itself is very clean with updated kitchen and bathrooms. We enjoyed the traditional-feeling wood interior, it reminded us we were in Hawaii, instead of the usual generic decor. Lots of beach and snorkelling items are available. Kitchen has everything you could need, but no leftover food items or condiments, fyi. Photos shown on the site are accurate and the owner was very easy to communicate with. We would definitely book again!.

Excellent space, excellent location

Everything about this condo was easy. The check-in was easy. The walk to the beach was easy. The sleeping accommodations were wonderful, the kitchen was fully stocked, and we enjoyed the beach chairs! We appreciated the cleanliness, all the towels, and the balcony with the views. Thank you for a wonderful stay, and we will be back!

Excellent stay in Maui!

We had a wonderful time at George's place. The condo was beautiful and well appointed, the pool was nice, and the location steps from the beach and close to Kihei attractions was excellent. There were several comfortable air beds available for our use. George was very responsive to the one minor concern that we had. Overall a highly recommended stay and a great value!

Family beach vacation

Great vacation spot especially if you want to be close to the beach. Just a short walk down the street to beach and park area. There were beach chairs and boogie boards to use which made for a fun beach day. Everything was set up including the air mattress. There were five of us and we still had plenty of space for everyone. We had a great vacation and would stay there again.

Pros:-close to beach (2-3min walk)-nice bathrooms(remodeled, large)-has 4 beach chairs, sand toys, 2 umbrellas, 4 boogie boards, lots of snorkel gearCons:-AC on a 2 hr timer so it’s super hot when you get back to the condo- pillows are terrible, super flat, need new ones-parking is covered, but we could barely fit the minivan in the parking spot. Everyone had to get out of the car then we pulled in-the condo really should only sleep 4, the air mattress isn’t comfy.-many homeless people living out of vans on the road outside the condo. A homeless lady was showering naked in the apartment complex when my son walked by with my husband. This isn’t the owners fault, just what the area is like. Its in the older part of Kihei.

Haleakala Shores

This is our 4th time staying at this property. The view was spectacular from the unit we were in on the 4th floor. The condo was very comfortable and has every thing we needed for our week stay. The beach is just across the street with good beaches and plenty of turtles to see. The pool and bbq area are great for relaxing close to home. I highly recommend this property and condo. George was great and communicated well with us.

Comfy, family friendly stay minutes from the beach

We had an amazing stay at George’s spot and are hoping we can make it a new tradition. His place was spacious, clean and came with ample amenities (kitchen wares, shampoo/conditioner/body wash, extra towels and linens, in suite laundry, communal bbqs in the pool area). We were a group with 4 adults and 2 toddlers under 2 and found the place to be a good size for all of us. We appreciated that it was quite and had good air conditioning in both bedrooms and the main living area. We did have to keep an eye on the kids around the living room as the coffee table corners were quite sharp and there were some small items easily accessed in the lower cupboards, but we appreciated the ample space and carpeted floors. The unit also came with enough beach chairs, umbrellas and beach toys for the littles which saved us having to rent or buy these ourselves. We didn’t end up using them but there was also a high chair and pack and play left behind by a prior guest. The location couldn’t have been better - the complex is quite literally across the street from several beautiful beaches and there were quite a few good places to eat within walking distance or a less than 10 minute drive. Although we never met in person, we found George to be extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. Thank you for helping make our trip such a great one!

Superb location with a very kind Host!

George has been very kind and accommodating. His condo is very comfortable with cultural Hawaiian decor which enhances the stay. He has a great collection of books native to Hawaii regarding the plants and trees, fish, shells, and popular beaches on the island. The lanai is such a wonderful place to lounge, have morning coffee, meals, and watch the sunset as it showcases a beautiful view of the mountains and the bay. The bathrooms are nicely tiled and provide ample towels and toilet paper for the stay. The kitchen is very well appointed with everything needed to cook superior meals along with a nice cooler and ice packs to pack a great lunch at the beach. The gas grills and pool area are intimate and clean. There are four nice beach chairs along with random snorkel equipment left by previous guests.

This is the one!

Choosing this condo was the absolute best decision for our trip to Maui! The location is amazing! You can walk to all the shops and the beach, and it is a short drive away from the airport, Wailea shopping center, and more beautiful beaches. In addition, the view from the lanai is perfection at all times of the day. The condo was very clean and had any amenity that we could think of. A slew of books for night time reading, puzzles, board games, and smart tv we’re all perfect for relaxing after king beach days. We saved time and money by having access to the beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards and snorkel gear, we just left it all in the trunk and unloaded it the last day- that way we had whatever we needed at all times. Bathrooms were spacious and clean with lots of extra towels and closet space. George, the owner, was extremely responsive and checked in on us multiple times. I would absolutely stay in this same exact location again the next time I come back to Maui!

Great property in great location

This is an excellent property located in Kihei across from Kamaole Beach, which is a very short walk away across the street. Top floor corner, so there's plenty of airflow and a corner Lanai with plenty of room to sit around the round table. Ceiling fans made the inside comfortable even on some hot days, so much so that we never used the included AC. Comfortable couch and chairs for TV watching, a nice dining table, and the modern kitchen and bathrooms were great. (The closet just outside the entryway is stocked with people's leftover beach chairs and boogie boards--we didn't notice it until halfway through our trip, so don't miss it!) George was incredibly responsive to a couple of minor issues that cropped up during our stay. We slept with the windows open and if you're very noise sensitive you might not want to do that due to noise from the side road, but it didn't bother us at all. I would most definitely stay here again!

Exceptional location in Maui!

We enjoyed a mom's only getaway and loved our time in sunny Maui! The location of the condo was exceptional. It is right across the street from the best beach Kam III (snorkeled with turtles!) within a short drive to Wailea and Ulua beach. The condo was spacious. Sunset viewing from the condo wonderful. There was quite a bit of street noise heard only in the one bedroom. The dishes, pots and pans, comforters all dated and owner George very receptive to feedback. Enjoyed the boogie boards, beach towels, and snorkel gear that was provided. We came for the beach and truly enjoyed the location and ease of getting to grocery store , shopping, etc in south Kihei. Discovered a great restaurant "Paia Fish Market" in Kihei which served wonderful fish tacos and fish garden salad (we went there frequently). Recommend going to Haleakala for the sunset and stargazing! The sky was amazing at night. We would love to bring our families back to this location. Hoping to see some simple upgrades as this place is a gem!!!!

Nice unit, NOT family-friendly

We were misled by this property being both labeled and reviewed as family and kid-friendly. It is definitely NOT kid-friendly, especially if you have small children. On several occasions, we were interrupted and verbally reprimanded by the property manager and residents for being too loud. Several times while swimming in the pool, our toddlers were laughing and having a great time, during the middle of the day mind you, the property manager came storming out of her office to yell at us. Another evening, when returning home to our condo for the night, 10 minutes after 10 PM and unfortunately our 1-year-old was crying as we hurriedly carried him and rushed our young daughters inside, when one of the neighboring residents decided to come walking out of his unit in his underwear and ask us “HOW MUCH LONGER IS THAT GOING TO GO ON?!” We were so embarrassed we quickly just ran passed and into our place. Please book with extreme caution if you choose a unit inside of Haleakala Shores. Now as far as the unit goes. It couldn’t have been a more pleasant experience working with George. His place was extremely clean and well stocked with anything we needed, including all of the family-friendly gear and beach toys. The bathrooms were immaculate, which is always such a crucial component when booking an extended stay. George was nothing but accommodating when it came to adjusting our dates after our initial booking through vrbo, allowing us to add an extra day with no issue whatsoever.

Great place in a great location

We spent 11 nights in this condo and had a lovely time. We were impressed with the size of the unit and the privacy for two couples. The owner is new so there are a few kinks but with time this will only improve. One would be that you must have plastic dishes to take to the bbq area and there were none in the unit. We bought paper plates, but it would have been nice to have plastic plates and plastic wine glasses, etc. You also can not take wine bottles, so you need a plastic carafe as well. The location is great. You walk out to the road and past one other unit and the street and you are at the beach. Two to three blocks to the right is a little strip mall with a confectionary, Subway, the awesome Cinnamon Bun store and Moose's is about the same for happy hour. This is a top floor unit so you can see the water and we did see some whales. Don't be afraid of the noisy fan in the living area.... it is an extractor to help cool the unit when you arrive home. The air conditioner helps in the living room but I would take a small fan to blow right on me at night time if I stayed again. You can open all of the windows but the road and bird noise is quite loud on the road side. Our partners did not hear any noise in the bedroom on the other side. I used white noise on my cell phone but I am a light sleeper. George was very cooperative and answered any questions quite promptly. Everyone in the unit was friendly and helpful. We even attended a condo owners bbq at the pool! Thanks and enjoy!!

Not what I was expected

Let's start with the positives. The location of the property is prime. You are within 5 miles of everything. The beach is within a few minutes walk. George also has a closet filled with snorkels & masks, beach chairs, and boogie boards for both kids and adults (all are like new). The bathrooms look newly remodeled. The kitchen appliances were very nice. Great for staying home for dinner. The negatives. You have to be very careful about any food thrown in the garbage or food left out. We left for a couple hours and bugs were everywhere around the trashcan. Also, when we sat out on the porch, I noticed several wasps and wasp nests. I told George and he said the office manager would be at our room within 30 minutes to address this. We waited 2 hours with no show. We also noticed that Georges cleaning staff only left 3/4 roll of toilet paper in each of the 2 bathrooms. George was great to respond until we were in the condo, then he was very hard to get a hold of. We had to go get wasp spray and toilet paper from the market a few miles up the street. When you are spending big $$ to be on the island, these items should be provided at the Georges expense. When we cooked, we noticed the the cooking pans and some of the knives were very old with rust. We were not able to cook until we went to the store and bought a pan. All the dishes were dirty. George should look for a new cleaning crew. The bedroom AC exhaust fan is not properly insulated so the AC produced more heat in the room than it did cooling the room. I went to the store and had to get duct tape and wrap the exhaust with 2 beach towels. Both AC units filters were dirty and I cleaned them so they would have proper airflow. Once I did all this work, both ACs worked as designed. So to rehash my negative experience, I found the condo had bugs, wasps, dirty half functioning AC (I corrected it), black mold around the sliding door, OLD rusty unusable dishes, and almost no toilet paper for the 3 nights we stayed. George agreed to a reasonable compensation but still to this day has not sent that to me. I may end up talking with my credit card company to ask for the return of the agreed refund he promised me. George has a history of not sticking with his agreement. I saw another family say he offered compensation but then reneged on it. We have stayed at another condo next door for $50 less and it was beautiful. My suggestion is do your homework. Read the reviews before you book.

Nice location

Overall the location was perfect. Walkable to many stores, restaurants and, of course, the beaches. Losts of beach chairs. Pack and play for the baby was a plus. Cleaning could be taken up a notch. The back rails of chairs and corners in the room needed attention. The washing machine, which was fairly new, broke on our last day. We were able to get it working, but that was a frustration. Air conditioning and the whole house fan could use an upgrade.

Fanstastic! Would definitely stay here again!

The unit was clean and in a great location right across from Kamaole Beach Park III. The host was very communicative and easy to work with. The residents in the complex were friendly. The experience was enjoyable and made for a fantastic vacation! I will definitely make an effort to book this place next year!
