Oculto a la vista entre los árboles, Glen Clova se actualizó recientemente y es un lugar realmente hermoso para estar en cualquier época del año. Ubicado en Thousand Acres, puede practicar esquí de fondo, caminar o andar en bicicleta por millas a lo largo de las calles tranquilas de esta comunidad arbolada.

La cubierta expansiva está tan cerca del borde del agua que puedes ver a los niños pescar en tu muelle privado. Great weekend!

House was very nice and our group enjoyed the house amenities, including the hot tub. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking equipment. Great view of the lake.

Beautiful house for a small group of people. The house is located in an excellent part of the lake - you can take long walks across the lake or through the forest.

Great Break!

We went for a short family trip. Spent our time tubing at Wisp, soaking in the hot tub, sitting in front of the fire or looking at the ice on the lake. House had everything needed and was cozy but with enough space for people.

Beautiful location

A lot of pluses for this house. The location and layout of the house is nice. We stayed in November knowing that the weather might keep us indoors which was fine with us as long as we had the view and a cozy place to hang out with family for Thanksgiving. We got the view but the house wasn’t as clean as the previous reviews had said and the furniture is outdated and uncomfortable. Unfortunately there was a mothball type odor that took a day or so to air out. My honest take… definitely stay here to enjoy the outdoors but think twice before staying in winter months.

It also has a lot of little extras; skewers for fire pit, outside lantern, comfortable hammock, leash in yard for dog and plenty of chairs outside to enjoy lakeside view. We had a fabulous time!

Our Wonderful Mini-Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First and foremost, Glen Clova was everything we could have asked for. After going through 25-30 rental properties, we chose Glen Clova and it did not disappoint. The house was clean and very nicely decorated. Beautiful location right on the lake with our own private pier. The hot tub on the deck was used everyday. A great kitchen, from having everything you could need to prepare meals to the layout of counter space and appliances. Comfortable furniture with the wall mounted TV right next to the fireplace. I'm an early bird and enjoyed the huge deck each morning with coffee as the sun came up. Even the ride back to the house from the main road, we were treated with deer siting's everyday and more wild turkeys than I ever seen. We plan on coming back next year, possibly with my brother and his wife. Glen Clova met all expectations and we don't even need to see any other rental properties because this one was it for us.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Glen clova was a very nice place. A little farther out than we expected but a nice location. We had a beautiful view of the lake. Being in Novermber we could only watch the lake. The hot tub was wonderful though the water was not as clear as we would have expected. We enjoyed our thanksgiving dinner there and found all the necessary cooking items that we needed to prepare the meal. We went into town on Friday, ate at Uno's and found a antique store. We had called ahead and ask to enter the house early with a small fee but something got confused and I don't think they were ready for us when we got there. The TV repairman came just minutes after we arrived and worked on the system a couple of hours with success. The only complaint we had was the whole house was not as clean as we would have liked. We found coffee in the coffee pot and it just was not tidy. Maybe this could have been part of the mix up in our early arrival. We would go back and give it another try because over all we had a fun family time building memories.

Home away from home

After six months of sitting in our own house we decided to take our dogs and try out a new house and location. Glen Cova was beyond delightful. The location was removed enough from Deep Creek's main area that we felt remote but close enough that we could slip out for groceries. The house is wonderfully equipped for cooking and the surround sound system makes listening to movies and music a delight. I wish I'd had cross country skis because we could have wandered onto the lake and down many trails. If there was availability again this winter we would go back in a heartbeat.

It had snowed and when we got there everything was cleared off. Only issue we had was that our entry code stopped working which is not the homes fault. luckily my wife was still inside and this happened on the day we were leaving.

We swam in the lake, used the jacuzzi, played volleyball and horseshoes, took out the canoe, and played many board games. We also visited two state parks and the restaurants in McHenry.

The house is so comfortable, well provisioned with all you might need for a truly lovely vacation at the lake. The ceiling fans and open window worked wonderfully and we were very comfortable. The addition of the new washer dryer was great! We have dogs and the property worked well for them as well. It was hard to get them off the dock. Taylor-Made Deep Creek Vacations was great to work with and very helpful in the rental process.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our second visit to Glen Clova. The house is comfy, well equipped, and sits on a flat lot on the quiet side of the lake. Lots of nice little thoughtful touches like flashlights in the bedside table drawers and little fans in some rooms. I would love to see some cushions added to the Adirondack chairs on the deck - those seats are a bit hard when you're gazing at the lake for hours! Overall a wonderful week and a perfect house for us.

After researching many rental properties Glen Cova had all the amenities that that all 3 couples wanted. We had stayed there years ago and was impressed to see all the new updates including, fresh paint, new furniture and a bigger hot tub. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. Although the weather was very pleasant and warm we were hoping for lots of snow and the frozen lake. Since it was warm we took,advantage of grilling outside and having a bonfire. Honestly we only left the house once to go to swallow falls. There was one issue we had and that was the neighbors dogs who kept coming on the porch and property which agitated our dog. My husband approach the neighbor to address the issue and she basically said we were renters and she had an agreement with the owner that her dogs were allowed in the property. Which led to the neighbors dogs taking a dump daily.

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: While the house itself was fine, we experienced trouble from the beginning. Upon check-in we were given keys to the wrong property. Luckily, we discovered the error before having to drive out of our way by nearly an hour. Firewood was supposed to be provided for each day of our stay, we never found any. None was delivered even after we asked. The upstairs toilet broke twice. We had to wash every dish before we used it. On our first full day, the water system broke and we were without water for 12 hrs. We could not drink the water and we could not use the bathroom. It took workmen 5 hrs to fix the problem over two visits. Once the problem was fixed, we were still unable to use the tab water other than to flush the toilet because the well had been so disrupted during the repair that the water from the tap was brown. The staff was helpful, but we felt their attitude was very cavalier to us being without water for an entire day. The code on our front door was changed the morning of our departure. We were effectively locked out of the house at 9:30 am even though our check out time was noon.
