A beautiful Los Altos "very southwestern" adobe with gourmet kitchen and grand Taos Mountain views from across the horse & cow pasture.

Casa de Esqui will comfortably accommodates 8 guests. There are 3 Kiva Fireplaces - Living room and 2 bedrooms plus viga ceilings throughout. A large flagstone patio offers patio dining and of course glorious views of Taos mountain.

Master bath has a walk in shower with a separate tub. Guest bath 1 has a tub/shower combo. Guest bath 2 has a walk-in shower.

Family & Friends Ski Trip

My family and some friends stayed at Casa de Esqui for a week while we skied at Taos and Angel Fire. We really enjoyed our stay. The house is beautiful and large. We had plenty of room both to socialize together and to get away from each other. The layout of the house was perfect for us. The kitchen was well stocked and had enough room for several people to work in it at the same time. Given the time of year and our preferences, we didn't use the outside or any of the community facilities so I can't comment on them, but we were really happy with the house. I would highly recommend staying here.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This home was comfortable and very well equipped. The dryer needs to be looked at, as it took about 3 cycles to dry a load. And the kitchen might need to be double checked by the cleaning crew, there were several pans put away dirty and inside the corner cabinet was filthy. Overall a great place!

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The check out time was very stringent, and the rules for clean up seemed to favor the cleaners rather then the guests. I think we did our jobs correctly with regard to cleaning up after ourselves, there was no one coming to the house immediately after us, still we were required by rote to be out of the house at a certain time. Otherwise the on site management of the house seemed to go well. There were some lights out, that we could not ever work.

Worst Vacation Rental Vacationing in Taos in over 20 years!

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house had a SEVERE fire ant infestation, broken garbage disposal, a 40 gallon water heater that is insufficient for this size house/max capacity of guest, so we had to ration showers for the 3 adults and 4 kiddos every day so everyone could take a quick hot shower. All things that the owner and property management company were fully aware of and failed to address before we checked in. The Master Bedroom mattress has to be over 30+ years old and is the thinnest and hardest mattress we've ever slept on. There are many more other beautifully maintained, comfortable, and up to date homes in the Los Altos area that you are better served staying in. This property was one headache another. We've never been so irritated staying in a property in Taos (and we've been vacationing in Taos for over 20 years) that we were literally counting down the days until we could check out and head back home. The fire ants was so invasive that they even got in to our children's snacks on our 12+ hour drive back home and all inside our car. Horrible rental experience overall.

Better than you expect!!

The property managers, Gary & Kristy, are amazing! They where easy to contact with a quick call, they helped us with checking in and checking out. They where very respectful of our time and electronic communication. The property was “Imaculate”!!! Hot tub on, hot and clear water. Every room had its own fans and windows. The decor was perfect and the kitchen was a chefs dream! I am coming back again & again.

Reviewer Comments: Very nice house, except the windows need to be replaced, which will be done in the near future as the new windows were in the garage, which meant we could not use the garage. Kitchen well stocked with appliances, condiments, and pots and pans. Hot tub didn’t have enough water and we couldn’t find a hose, but the caretaker tiki care of it within hours of being contacted.

Great stay! Would recommend

We had 10 friends from Colorado at Casa de Esqui for a long weekend- cashing in on our ski days at Taos from Ikon Pass. We loved the place. Location was great for easy mountain access and the property was amazing. Would recommend and stay again. 2 minor critiques: there were a few broken windows that let in a cold draft and the oven/range are pretty old so took a long time to cook things in there. Otherwise wonderful- thank you!

Beautiful property in a neighborhood. It needs some tlc: no air conditioning windows do not open

If the property is repaired Ie windows, light fixtures, updated washer / dryer, kitchen oven, hot tub support repaired, wood rot around doors repaired, updated WiFi, we would rent again.

Nice House

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is a very nice place with luxury appearance. It is well located with beautiful views and only a few miles from the ski resort. Our expectation was high due to its price and was only partially met. On our first day of stay, we ask management to address 2 items: 1. indoor and outdoor light bulbs that were not working; and 2. the window in the master bathroom which did not block the freezing night temperatures. A handy man brought outdoor lights and mentioned he needed a ladder to fix the indoor ones. He also instructed us to contact Premiere Properties for the window item. He never came back with the ladder; and we only found out that the indoor lights had electrical problems because the grill ran out of propane and we called for instructions. The lights were never fixed.We never called Premiere about the window (we placed a heater in the bathroom) because we did not believe it was our job to coordinate fixes for the property at over $800/night. We had called and should have been remediated.Other than that, the property is really nice and we had a great time.

Wonderful stay at Esqui

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had an incredible family getaway at Casa de Esqui over spring break. The house is beautiful, comfortable, and enchanting. In our family, most of the activity centers around the kitchen. We love to go all out for our meals and the kitchen at Esqui made that very easy. Well stocked, premium appliances, and big enough for a few people maneuvering around without bumping into each other.The views from house are also breathtaking. At sunset, it was difficult to choose between the back or front of the house to observe the beauty. Being nestled up against the mountains made for beautiful purple alpenglow sunsets in the backyard. And if the clouds are right, then the front yard was fire!Location was perfect! Less than 20 minutes up the canyon to the ski valley. And a very manageable 10 minute drive to town. Great for the whole family, the kids loved the games and the bunk bed room. Oh yeah, and the hot tub. Thank you for an unforgettable stay!

The home was the perfect size, clean and the kitchen was very well stocked with even two crockpots which we used for two different meals. The hot tub did not work for us until the 3rd day unfortunately, but the calls made did result in someone showing up and working on it both times. Also the first bathroom on the left had flush valve issues that need checking and the shower by the garage leaked into the garage floor. Understandable issues, just wanted to report them. Overall we loved the accommodations and the staff were very nice and helpful.

Reviewer Comments: Beautifully appointed adobe home with high end furnishings and lots of room for a family with four little ones to spread out - yet come together in kitchen/dining/living great room. We loved our stay there! Everything worked and was spotless. The views of sunrise and sunset from opposite sides of the house were stunning. The radiant heated floors provided quiet comfort. The children enjoyed watching the bunny rabbits and the prairie dog town and the apaloosa horses from the back windows. AND we were just minutes from Taos Ski Valley and could take the little ones back and forth for naps and snacks.

Beautiful home and location, perfect for family reunions

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented this house so we can get 10 people (6 adults & 4 kids) together to celebrate a reunion. We enjoyed the main room which was perfect for all of the good times and story sharing. The kitchen & dining room is nice and open, so no one was excluded from the conversation.If you're looking to play some music or watch some family videos by plugging in a more modern cable, forget it. The entertainment system is from the 90s - so that was our poor excuse to sing terribly and inflate stories without seeing old video proof. Additionally wifi is weak, which made the kids unplug from ipads. Our few legit complaints were the super firm mattresses are not comfy after hard days of skiing and the house has some critters running around in the ceiling at night... but all-in-all a great place to stay and enjoy family & the outdoors.
