Located in an exclusive area within one of the most prestigious locations on the Argentario promontory, Villaghirlanda is surrounded by the natural beauty of the typical Tuscan Mediterranean landscape. This villa offers a relaxing vacation immersed in greenery, just a short walk from the sea, in a serene and family-friendly atmosphere.

A beautiful sandy beach is only 50 meters away, accessible via a private path, and can be reached on foot in about 10 minutes, making it perfect for families and children. The villa, clad in local stone and tastefully furnished, is bright and peaceful. Spacious and well-maintained, it features a large living and dining area, 3 double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, 1 bedroom with two single beds, 1 bedroom with a three-quarter bed, an additional bathroom, a service bathroom, and a fully equipped kitchen with appliances such as a dishwasher, washing machine, oven, and refrigerator.

The large terrace, equipped with sun loungers, a garden table, and chairs, is ideal for outdoor dining, especially with the beautiful stone barbecue.

Villaghirlanda is an ideal starting point for exploring fascinating historical sites from the Etruscan and medieval periods, such as Pitigliano and Sorano. The Saturnia thermal baths are about 50 km away, while the ruins of Ansedonia and Capalbio are only 10 km away. Daily ferries depart from Porto Santo Stefano to the islands of Giglio and Giannutri, and the exclusive Cala Galera can be found in Porto Ercole. In the Orbetello lagoon, you can visit the WWF-protected wildlife oasis. The art cities of Siena, Pisa, Florence, and Rome are easily accessible.

Just great

My friends and me had a wonderful time in the house. Very big and cozy. It‘s not really walking distance from any restaurant or shops, but therefore it is very quiet and without any traffic.

Beautiful Home

My family of six loved our stay in Porto Ercole. The home was very spacious, well appointed, beautifully designed and decorated, air conditioned in bedrooms, close to beach, gorgeous outdoor terrace, and pool. Monica was always available to answer questions during the reservation process and our stay. Would have loved to play billiards, but there were no cue sticks available. The added electricity fee was $33 per day. We had a wonderful time and only wish we had stayed longer. Thank you again Monica.

Wonderful location and accommodating host

Monica was a wonderful host, very communicative and just lovely! Our multigenerational family enjoyed staying in her beautiful home. The kitchen was fully stocked and she even left tea, coffee, cakes, homegrown tomatoes and wine for us! She sent information about local beaches and restaurants to us before and throughout our stay. The house is located overlooking the Cala Galera port. The air conditioning was perfect during the July heatwave. We walked to the beach almost daily down the path from the house. A couple of caveats: there are many steps to get to the house and to the beach, the plumbing can temperamental (Mr. Bartoli arrived within 15 minutes to help us with one issue), the road to the house is narrow and bumpy - all issues we managed and grew accustomed to! Porto Ercole is a short drive away, with wonderful shops and restaurants. We took road trips to Saturnia natural springs, Grosseto and more - just wish we had more time to explore the area! Thank you Monica for a beautiful stay.

Spacious sprawling rustic charm on Tuscany coast

We stayed at this beautiful property from October 12 - 17, 2019 and thoroughly enjoyed it! The living areas were gorgeous and spacious, perfect for entertaining. We especially enjoyed making use of the huge beautiful patio/balcony off the living room. Incredible views of the mountains and valley from the balcony. The bedrooms were plentiful, and all were larger than expected! The kitchen was fully equipped and we had no need for anything when preparing our meals. There was a plumbing issue that arose in the kitchen, but Monica was instantly on top of it; and had it cleared up ASAP. This was very much appreciated. It should be noted that Monica was an incredible host, answering any questions we had about the local dining and attractions within minutes each time. She made sure that every aspect our stay was as enjoyable as possible. We would certainly recommend this property. Thank you again Monica! -KH

Practical and well equipped house with a wonderful terrace for dinners and more

We enjoyed our 2 weeks in this house a lot. There was enough privacy for all of us with the divided bedrooms and private bathrooms. The terrace is as nice as it looks on the pictures! The house is situated on the top 2 floors of a condominium but there is enough privacy. The beaches were just a short stroll away from the house and the housekeeper, Sergio, was really helpful in every way. The kitchen offers a lot of pans and pots and is great for cooking. The towel- and linen change in the middle of our stay was perfect, too. The only thing that we were truly missing and a bit disappointed about, were the missing billiard cues for the pool table because it was one thing that we had been looking forward to. The price including extra cost for cleaning and electricity was at the high end.

Great days and a perfect house at the beach

After having searched for a long time we found this beautiful house situated just outside Porto Ercole. For a three generation family this was absolutely perfect. We stayed one week in July. The house, with an italian style, had a room distribution well suited for our family – six adults and three children aged 2, 5 and 9 years. The big terrace was well suited for our needs and with a nice view to the sea and the valley around. Worth notising is the fact that there are three parking spaces belonging to the house. Car is needed because there is a 15 minutes drive to a good grocery shop. To the beach is there just a short walking distance. Even the 2 year old boy had no problems with the distance. The path is through an area with no cars. The whole family experienced fantastic days. Only one problem: the time goes too fast. We particularly appreciated that the owner of the house, Monica, had made arrangements adapted to our family and she is very welcoming. We highly recommend the house and the place and we hope to return some day.

Fantastic location close to The best beach. A lot of space for two families. Good service.

We really enjoyed our week in Porte Ercole. The house was perfect for two families with children from 9-16. The terrace was so nice that we made most of our dinners at "home". Walking distance to The city but beware of The aggressiv drivers. Only 5 miniutes to The best and largest Beach.

Fantastica casa!

Davvero una casa fantastica. Pulita, in ordine, con uno stile impeccabile. Vista da sogno, sul porto di Cala Galera, e Castello. Un terrazzo enorme, dove abbiamo passato tanti bei momenti, a partire da colazioni, pranzi, e cene. La piscina e' stata davvero apprezzata (soprattutto dai bambini) - un vero punto di freschezza, con una vista rilassante. Le camere sono tutte comode, con aria condizionata, e tanti bagni sparsi per la casa. Monica e' stata molto gentile a partire dal primo momento della mia prima email, fino al soluto finale a riconsegna di casa. Sempre disponibile ad aiutare. In tutti dettagli c'e' molta cura e amore. Inoltre e' posizionata in un punto molto strategico. 5 minuti da Porto Ercole, 20 minuti da Porto Santo Stefano, e facile da raggiungere. Ci sono un paio di spiagge a piedi, e si possono fare tante belle passeggiate. Consiglierei vivamente di affittare questa stupenda casa. Grazie Monica!

A GREAT VACATION

Vacanza meravigliosa grandi spazi panorama stupend

Più bella di come ce l'aspettavamo; la nostra grande famiglia è stata benissimo, i bimbi si sono goduti la piscina (oltre al mare naturalmente!) ogni giorno e noi ci siamo goduti la grandissima terrazza sul mare con stupendi tramonti e allegre cene a lume di candela. Il paese è vicino e comodo, ma stavamo talmente bene a casa che uscivamo solo per andare al mare. Grazie ai padroni di casa che hanno una grande cura di ogni particolare e che ci hanno dato un grande senso di accoglienza
