Lovely, well equipped and maintained apartment
We loved staying in this apartment. It is in a modern block in Montgat, one stop away from Badalona on the train.
The apartment was reasonably priced for such a well-equipped one and came with all top brand mod-cons. The wi-fi was free which helped immensely when we were planning our days out in Barcelona.
As the apartment was so close to Montgat railway station (in Zone 1), we were in Barcelona in 13 mins and we were able to use our BCN cards for the trip there and back.
The air-con worked a treat, there was every conceivable piece of kitchen equipment available in case we wanted to eat in (which we did one night as we were so exhausted from walking in the heatwave at the time).
The beach, which is very nice but not busy, is also very close and easily accessible by an underpass a couple of hundred yards away.
The owners were really friendly and extremely helpful. The apartment also comes with a lot of literature on what to do locally and also in Barcelona.
The pool is a decent size and has a "grassy" bit on one side where you can put towels, our teenagers loved the pool, which was well maintained and as warm as you can imagine.
Traffic and train noise did not bother us in the slightest, especially when the sliding doors to the balcony were closed.
Badalona is certainly worth a visit if you can't be bothered going into Barcelona for dinner one night - it has a relaxed vibe and a whole bunch of restaurants for every taste.
If you are hesitating about booking this, don't, it's a good one and we would definitely go back if we were visiting the area.
