My wife and I could not have been more please with our stay. This was a wonderful property; stylish, charming, historically significant, comfortable, safe, quiet, beautifully landscaped, convenient to downtown Palm Springs (30 minute walk), the Aerial-Tramway, the airport, walking tours, restaurants. It has 3(!) lovely patios, 1 each off the LR, DR and MBR, which extends the space and offers more room for privacy.
It is a stand alone, single story unit, so remarkably quiet. Parking is in a carport that's an easy, flat walk to the unit. The community pool/spa was large,heated, and lightly used. We were often the only ones there. A huge plus...the mattresses were extremely comfortable, the best I've experienced! We actually took pictures of the brand and are buying them for our home. Check in/out was remarkably easy.
Here are a couple items that, while non-issues for us, may impact your decision to stay here. The property is located near the NW corner of the valley, just as you enter from LA. It's opposite from Palm Desert/La Quinta, which are far SE. Not an issue for us, but if you're an avid golfer you may prefer staying further south, where the majority of golf courses lay.
You're also, periphally, near the airport.
The planes take off to the northeast of the property, a couple miles away, but you do see and hear them. They aren't loud, there aren't many and we didn't find it obtrusive or distracting, but in fairness it's something that you should know.
Finally, this is a small community. There is a pool, hot tub and lush, quiet grounds. If you're looking for action this is not the space for you. For us it was an oasis of tranquility...a perfect vacation spot. We're already planning our return.
