Purpose built as a weekend holiday home, Quinta Sinfonia is situated in a tranquil location just 1km from the beach and village of Praia das Macas.

The villa is set in secure spacious grounds, with a large sun drenched lawn at the front of the villa perfect for sunbathing and games. The beautiful garden offers many different seating areas where you can enjoy a glass of wine or read a book.

It's very extensive garden is 2000+M2 and has the following features.
: Private pool sef(heating optional, 300 Euros surcharge).
: BBQ and outdoor seating for 10 persons.
: Badminton court.
: French Boules court.
: Large lawn area.
: Outdoor ping pong table

Inside we also have a games room with full size bar pool table and a roulet table.

The home was absolutely lovely! A nice slice of Portuguese splendor. Ample space for a larger family. All clean and well kept. Grounds were amazing! And the host Ralph was so very helpful abs gracious. Highly recommend!

Great house for a family stay.

A great home for fun vacations

Great location and the house was as nice as advertised. The outside was also very enjoyable (pool, ping pong, badmington, pétanque boules). And a special thanks to caretaker Ralph who is super helpful and friendly.

Beautiful spacious villa

Gorgeous private villa and property ! Ralph is an attentive host with great recommendations on places to visit and dine. The villa has so much to offer and convenient location to spend time at several beautiful beaches and cities to tour and enjoy. We enjoyed the pool and the billiards table and sitting on the upstairs patio in the evenings drinking wine and watching the sunset. Easy trips to Sintra, Cascais to name just a few. Great experience visiting Portugal for the first time and using this villa as our home base . Definitely recommend!

Wonderful stay

The house was perfect for our party of two families. We loved the pool and all the different places to sit around the large grounds. The pool table and table tennis tables were great. The village was an easy walk from the house and it was also a good base for trips to Lisbon, Cascais and Sintra. Thank you, Ralph for the clear communications and for a wonderful stay.

Perfect Family Getaway!

We had an amazing stay at this vacation rental! It was perfect for our family with young children. The house was spotless, well-equipped, and had plenty of space for everyone. The kids loved the playroom and the large, fenced-in backyard. The location was fantastic, close to family-friendly attractions and beautiful beaches. The host was incredibly accommodating and provided everything we needed. We highly recommend this rental for families looking for a fun and relaxing getaway!

Great place to stay

The house is in walking distances 1-2 km depending on beach selection. Driving distance (20 min by car to larger grocery store). Perfect for family with active kids. Host was great and gave us several suggestions for trips. Some problems with main fuse and heating but will probably be fixed soon. Recommended! before next guest.

Lovely house and garden - too much Ikea for my taste

The house was lovely situated in a quiet spot in a gorgeous garden. The house was nice with plenty of room for all of us and offered great many spots to sit outside and enjoy the garden. The kitchen was not really for cooking for 10 people - the stove could only hold a few pots at a time and not super functional when you cook for many. The plates and serving plates were very low budget and not very nice for a house this price - that was dissapointing - when renting a house like this with these kinds of aesthetics as the pictures showed you would expect som nice traditional portuguese plates, cups and serving plates - not plain white Ikea servingplates. And in general less Ikea would be nice.

Wonderful place for a stay with friends

Brilliant villa for a get together with another family. The villa is well equipped, with everything we needed, including a brilliant supply of outdoor games. We really enjoyed the outdoor BBQ. A lovely area, with excellent access to high quality beaches, historic Sintra and to Lisbon. It is worth highlighting that the neighbourhood is marred by lots of barking and howling dogs, who disturbed our sleep every night, it’s really not a sound we are used to at home. The dog owners here seem to just let them bark. All in all, a lovely spot for a weeks holiday, however I would recommend ear plugs to any guests who are liable to sleep disturbances.

Great family villa

Large villa with plenty of space both inside and out. Set in a lovely little town within walking distance of shops, restaurants and the beach. Nice clean pool, although you do have to pay extra for it to be heated. Lots of other outdoor activities available. Large kitchen but lacked some essentials such as salt, pepper and oil. Late check in but we were lucky to be able to check in early. Overall a lovely big villa and perfect for our two families. Ralph and Tiffany were welcoming and very responsive to any questions.

Sinfonia of Delight

We stayed at Sinfonia for a nearby family wedding, and couldn't have asked for a better villa for our time here. The space is impressive, and the kitchen and dining areas are perfect for entertaining. We were delighted with the gardens, spending hours in the pool, as well as playing petanque in the evening, and also loved waking to the sound of the blackcaps singing in the surrounding trees. Blessed with good weather, we enjoyed daytrips to both Lisbon and Sintra, which are easily accessible from here, and have also welcomed the chance to walk the local streets into Colares. Ralph was courteous, professional and more than helpful throughout our booking - thank you!

Nous étions une famille de 11 personnes. Nous avons passé un super séjour. Tout est parfait. La maison est spacieuse et très bien équipée. La literie est bonne, les équipements fonctionnels. C’est simple, il ne manque rien. La localisation de la maison à 10/15 minutes à pied de praia Maçãs est parfaite car la météo est bien meilleure que les locations que nous avions fait en bord d’océan avant. Nous avons pu profiter de l’extérieur du matin au soir. Et plus généralement, colares est l’endroit idéal pour profiter de cascais, sintra, Lisbonne et sans oublié notre endroit préféré à seulement 5 minutes en voiture: azenhas do mar piscine Chaque recoin du jardin est une merveille, et entourés de pins sans AUCUNS vis à vis. Petits et grands ont pu profiter de la piscine, du filet de badminton, du terrain de pétanque, de la table de ping pong, de la table d’échecs, du billard et du baby-foot. Le coin barbecue est juste parfait aussi avec sa petite table à côté qui permet de manger juste à côté. En conclusion, cette maison est un réelle coup de cœur et la gentillesse de Ralph et Tifany sont un grand plus. Disponibles et hyper arrangeant pour l’arrivée et le départ. Un grand merci à vous et à l’année prochaine.

Huset var bedre enn antatt, bildene gir ikke kred nok. Stort kjøkken og super utegrill, dette benyttet vi oss mye av. Deilig pool. Stille område, ikke noe bråk. Fine soverom. Vi gikk til stranden (tok ca 10 min å gå) som er veldig hyggelig, ikke så stor og ikke så mange turister - god plass. Bil til andre strender nødvendig, men enkelt å finne gratis parkering. Vi handlet ikke i nærmeste by (dyrt) , men kjørte til Lidl, der får du alt, ca 20 min kjøring en vei, men verdt det og man får tak i alt (laktosefritt, økologisk og glutenfritt). Bare å nyte i denne ferieboligen

Heerlijk verblijf in prima huis

Wij hebben genoten van alle ruimte en faciliteiten, vooral van het zwembad. Vriendelijke en behulpzame eigenaar. Een auto is op deze locatie wel onmisbaar om meer van de omgeving te zien. Diverse restaurants van goed tot zeer goed. Meer dan genoeg kruideniers in de buurt.

Villa magnifique

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour dans cet endroit magnifique. La villa est spacieuse, et très bien agencée. Le très grand jardin est un paradis pour des moments de détente (piscine, barbecue, toutes sortes de jeux, et d'adorables petits coins de verdure pour se ressourcer). La maison est très bien située pour des visites à Sintra ou Lisbonne. Un grand merci à Ralph pour sa disponibilité, son professionnalisme et sa courtoisie.

Sehr schöne Villa

Noch nie eine bessere Kommunkation mit einem Vermieter gehabt. Tolle Tips zum Essen gehen bzw. wie man am besten Sintra besichtigt. Den Abzug von einem Stern gibt es für den Pflegezusatnd des Gartens. Das Haus war im Innenbereich sehr sauber (keinerlei Beanstandung). Frühstück und Abendessen am großen Tisch im Freien neben dem Grill. Den Rest des Tages in der Laube in der Nähe des Schwimmingspools. Ruhige Gegend bis auf die Hunde in der Nachbarschaft (durch die größe der Grundstücke war das Bellen nicht zu laut). Toller Stand (Praia da Adraga) ca. 7km entfernt.

It has always been my intention to spend time and live part of the year in the Lisbon area of Portugal close to my best friend and within easy road access to my country of birth Spain.

During a trip to Lisbon with my wife and teenage daughter three years ago we visited the historic and majestic town of Sintra and spent a few days travelling around the green and picturesque countryside of Sintra Natural Park. It soon became clear that this was the place for us.

Shortly thereafter we started to look for a property to buy and with the help of a friendly local Estate Agent we soon found and fell in love with "Quinta Sinfonia". The villa previously belonged to a musical family and has a beautiful garden and many enchanting areas including its own Chapel.

From the villa we walk to the beach of Praia das Macas (Apple Beach) some ten minutes away where there are a selection of good restaurants and bars including shops and sports facilities. On our way back home we often stop at the local market where we buy our fresh fruit and vegetables including the fresh fish to barbeque at the villa.

Although we have our own car we seldom use it as we prefer to walk to the beach and around the village or take the tram/bus to the town of Sintra some twenty minutes away from the nearby stop.

A year ago a good friend of ours introduced us to Mr Ralph Mason, owner of LIsbon Coast Cottages who has been operating in the local area for over ten years as a Property Manager. During the past year Ralph has proven himself as a trustworthy and dependable professional which has made our decision to rent the villa through him that much easier.
Because we are not yet in a position to live in Portugal all the year round we have decided to offer our villa to the public so they too can enjoy this beautiful part of Portugal.
