Fun Vacation for the Whole Family

We had the best week in this beautiful home. The house was spectacular and the lake was awesome. Everyone was comfortable in their space, which was plentiful. The kids loved the sand pit and the adults enjoyed relaxing in the lake. The property is tucked away so the water was always calm, just right for floating. Plus, the little ones were able to swim safely. The kayaks and water pad were additional treats. We brought our boat and tied it right to their dock. We had so much fun tubing and exploring the lake. We will definitely be going back. Debbie was an absolute jewel to work with. She checked in on us when we arrived to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. We had a week of wonderful memories.

Great stay on Lake Martin

We booked Paradise on Lake Martin for a quick weekend getaway from Florida. The home and grounds were in excellent condition and as advertised. The beds were comfortable and the baths were updated and nicer than most. The lake views from the house were great, as was the expansive porches to enjoy the pretty views. We brought our boat up and were able to keep it right at the dock, which enhanced our lake time. We also enjoyed the fire pit both nights, it was the highlight for our 2 grandsons, ages 1&3. Debbie was an excellent host with forst class communication. We loved our time and will absolutely be back!

Nice Weekend

The house is in need of a deep cleaning and declutterring, and has numerous maintenance issues- feels like someone’s home, which it is. I would have given it a better rating if the owners had been easier to deal with. They were extremely rude to us after our departure and denied us the refund of our security deposit unless I would agree to NOT post a review. It is unnecessary to discuss the details here. I filed a formal complaint with VRBO Customer Support, including all necessary documentation, and VRBO ultimately decided to refund us the entire deposit despite owner attempts to keep it. The weekend was good, but the overall experience was not. I do not recommend renting this property.

Football weekend stay

This property was perfect for our long Auburn football weekend stay. The three regular bedrooms and a 4-bed bunk room was great for our family. There is an open kitchen/den w/ tv upstairs and another den w/ tv downstairs. Because of the rain from hurricane Helene, we spent a lot of time enjoying the large, covered decks (2 levels) on Friday, playing games and cards. The oldest grandson made it a point to fish each morning from the pier. The communication with Debbie was great. She even called to make sure everything was fine when we first got there.

Heaven on earth!

Love this property! Perfect location in such a beautiful, quiet cove. Perfect for floating and swimming. Our grandkids loved the huge sand box. The only negative thing is that at many lakes, there are a lot of sugar ants. None in the house, but the gravel driveway is a hot spot! Bring ant spray and make sure your car doesn’t have any food in it!

Relaxation by the lake

This is the perfect property if you are looking to relax and enjoy time by the water. Our grandchildren enjoyed the sand area, canoes and lily pad. The house has everything you need, making you feel like you are at home. Debbie is always there if you need her. She was an exceptional host.

Fun family vacation

The place was perfect for our needs. The view was great! The amenities kept everyone entertained! Very enjoyable!!! Float mat, kayaks, corn hole boards, and fire pit kept the grandchild and us entertained. Would definitely recommend!!! Plenty of room for the seven of us.

Peaceful Lake House

Nice house. Feels like someone’s home. Very nice area. Having the kayak was great. Minor note: A lot of different kitchen utensils made it difficult to put things back. Need to take pictures to make sure things get back in the right place.

There is NOTHING I would change about this incredible home! Comfortable, spacious, and absolutely everything that you could possibly want for the best, most relaxing vacation you will ever have! Debbie is the most thoughtful host, and it is clear that her guests’ comfort is her top priority. The home, the porches, the views, the peace and quiet, and all of the extras that Debbie provides makes this the best vacation rental on Lake Martin. We absolutely can’t wait to go back!

Kids couldn’t have been happier

Forecasts said rain but we were blessed with great weather. We all enjoyed our stay but the grandkids can’t wait to go back. I even caught a fish which got my granddaughter “hooked” on fishing. Everything we need was nearby and we didn’t find the grocery or restaurants too far of a drive; my son and his wife even found a coffee shop. We had a couple of glitches and the dock is in need of repair (owner said that would be fixed) but all was handled to our satisfaction. Owner communication was very good. Thanks for providing us with a great place to stay.

Lake Martin vacation

You are not staying in someone’s vacation property but in their home. The home was warm, comfortable, and fully equipped. Communication with the owner was excellent before and during the stay. This is a great location on the lake and it was great to have kayaks and the lily pad. I would recommend renting a boat before arrival if you do not have one.

Auburn Graduation celebration!

The lakehouse was perfect for us! It had two bedrooms upstairs with their own bathrooms that worked perfectly for the grandparents, and two more bedrooms downstairs with plenty of beds and an additional living area. The back porch was wonderful. We enjoyed being out there and admiring the view of the lake.

Great getaway at Lake Martin

We had booked Debbie’s home last minute after our plans had changed unexpectedly. She was able to quickly get arrangements made for a great stay at her home. She was friendly and always available via phone or text with questions. Debbie’s suggestion on steaks at Market 34 was spot on! Best steaks I’ve ever grilled! Her home was comfy, inviting and very spacious. The location was amazing, tucked into a cove with a place for our boat. The fall weather was perfect for nightly fires at the fire pit. We did not get a chance to use the kayaks or pedal boat, but appreciated that they were there as an option. Maybe next time! Overall, a great find on Lake Martin! Thank you Debbie and family!

Beautiful Lake Retreat

I traveled to the area with several colleagues for an Auburn football game (we work for an opposing university). Since we were working for most the trip, we did not spend as much time at the house as we would have liked--but the time we did spend there was wonderful! The house was clean and comfortable... especially the beds (everyone slept well both nights). Thankfully, it was an early kick-off so we were able to come back and enjoy the beautiful lake before sunset! Debbie was a joy to work with--both before and during our visit. She provided clear instructions for check-in, and then also followed up via text to make sure we settled in ok. Can't wait to find another reason to come back to Lake Martin and stay!

We visited Lake Martin in September 2014 for the very first time ever. Our friends introduced us to it as they have enjoyed it for many years. We love watching the sunsets and swimming in such a beautiful clean lake. When you get on the lake all your worries go away and it is just so relaxing whether boating or sitting on the dock watching all of the wildlife. We have beautiful bald eagles that you may see from time to time and quite a few of ducks and geese. It is truly a picturesque setting. When we visited Lake Martin we knew this where we wanted to have a second home.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

When you walk in the front door and you see the view it takes all your cares away. The view is AMAZING! Actually when We saw the view for the first time we knew this was the home for us. We love having the covered double decks so you can enjoy sitting outside. It has been really nice to have two master bedrooms and two family rooms. It comes in handy when you have two families here at the same time. We have one porch swing on lower deck and another swing at the fire pit as you enjoy roasting marshmallows. Lake Martin has so much to offer. You must come see for yourself!
