Esta propiedad frente al mar arquitectónicamente única comprende una casa principal con sala de estar, cocina y comedor, 4 habitaciones cada una con vista al mar y con terraza o terraza. Hacia la playa hay una casa de huéspedes independiente con un dormitorio, baño y cabaña al atardecer que ofrece vistas espectaculares, una piscina infinita de piedra de 14 m con vistas a las olas y un bar al atardecer. The Cove está en completa armonía con su entorno natural, ya que está construido con madera de hierro recuperada, teca, piedra y otros materiales de origen local.

The perfect property

We chose to stay at The Cove to host our small wedding and what a perfect place it was. The grounds were amazing but what made it truly special was the staff. Esa, the property manager, was always available and made it so easy to do any excursion we wanted. Chef Wayan knocked it out of the park with each and every meal. Her food is truly excellend and she showed us the ins and outs of Indonesian cooking. We cant thank the entire Cove team enough!

Best ever family holiday

The villa accommodated all 12 of us most comfortably. Our chef, whose name I have unfortunately forgotten, was excellent and produced not only an extensive breakfast daily but a dinner to a cost agreed in advance, and to a menu also agreed. The staff were helpful and we were well looked after. Two earthquakes added to the excitement. The garden and pool were great.

It's a wonderful world at the Cove

This was our second stay at the Cove and it was just as wonderful as we remembered it from two years ago when we got married at this beautiful place. When you step into the Villa a whole new world opens up towards the lush green garden with the sea at the background and the coconut trees reaching up to the sky. From the warm welcome and the smile of the staff to the infinity pool towards the ocean, to the sunset at the private beach, to the most tasty & authentic Indonesian cuisine by Chef Wayan to the seabreeze nights everything was just perfect. We didn't leave the villa as we stayed for 2 nights only but there is plenty to see for day trips and the best thing is you are in a very authentic and quiet part of Bali. The 'real' Bali. The owners of the villa must have had this vision of heaven on earth and created the cove. We would love to stay there again in the future with some friends and family to share the amazing experience. There are plenty of rooms and they are all very unique and beautiful. Thank you!

A true Tropical Paradise

Probably the most beautiful place we’ve ever stayed. The villa area is lush and green, it felt like stepping into a dream when we arrived. We found it even more jungle-like in person than in the photos, especially the pool with its tall palm trees and thick greenery. Our guys loved the tennis court and cooling off in the pool right after. The staff were amazing — super friendly, always helpful, and happy to take care of anything we needed. We had asked the house manager for a day trip idea and they took us on a private tour through the rainforest and several waterfalls where we didn’t see a single other tourist (admit it was not peak season yet, but still!) It was absolutely magical — just us and the sounds of nature. They even packed a homemade lunch for us with burgers (including a delicious veggie one), which made the whole experience extra thoughtful.Just one little heads-up about the beach below the cove: while they try to clean it daily, it’s not suitable for swimming because of driftwood and some rubbish that washes up during floods (which is common everywhere around Bali). Still, it’s a cool beach to explore, especially walking along the impressive cliffs.This spot is all about being surrounded by nature and really soaking in the peace. But honestly, the real highlight for us was the food, the in-house Chef absolutely spoiled us, every meal was a treat. If you’re looking to unplug, escape the crowds, enjoy nature, and if you love good food, this place is yours!

Spacious villa on a spectacular beach, The Cove Jan 2018

Our 8-person company is pleased to recall a visit to The Cove Villas. The choice of this villa was inspired by excellent reviews by other guests. Indeed, I can support all the hype that has been said before. Rosella, the owner of the villa, gave us a lot of useful advice before we arrived, Putu, the administrator, who knows Bali's history and traditions well, has organized a number of interesting tours for us. The most impressive event was the visit to the sacrificial ceremony organized by Putu in the neighboring village. He did not hesitate to take me and my friend to the market to buy fitting sarongs and escort us to be part of the mesmerising ceremony. We are also very thankful to him for the trip to a beautiful nearby village. Thank you, Putu for all the help. Really. Thanks to you we felt happy and taken care of:) We could say the same about Wayan. Her perfectly cooked food delighted us during the entire stay at the villa. The only thing I did not find amongst the previous reviews which might be worth mentioning is the need for some refurbishment. To be more specific, some of the wooden planks on some terraces and balconies are already rotten and it would be a good idea to replace them since there is a safety hazard to break in. There is a personnel of ten people in the villa so it is peculiar why the tidiness and cleanness is not ideal. The floors are not washed everyday. The bin next to the swimming pool was not emptied once in four days. The steps leading to the pool could also be cleaned after every rainfall. The breathtakingly beautiful beach belonging to the villa could also be cleaned by picking up the litter washed up by the sea. During our holiday in Bali we also stayed in other villas with less personnel, but those were more clean and tidy. I hope and believe that my comments will not be taken personally by Rosella nor Putu. My only aim by expressing these opinions is to hope that it will encourage you to take more care of the villa, so that it can be enjoyed by other new guests and perhaps us, if we find ourselves with the opportunity to visit you again in the future:) So, due to those little details mentioned above, I give the villa four stars out of five. However, if I could, I would give ten starts to Wayan and Putu:)

A little slice of heaven

The Cove is a villa that is perfectly situated in it's own little slice of calm that blocks out much of the chaos of Bali traffic that lies just beyond its walls. We were a family (plus guests) of 10 --four couples and two singles. Although the listing says there is space for 13, I wouldn't recommend going beyond ten unless there were some children. Seating at meals and around the patio were just right for 10. The house is comfortable and clean. The layout of all rooms open up to the spectacular grounds and water. The staff was fabulous, but the highlight was absolutely the chef Wayan! Plan on eating EVERY meal at the house for three reasons: 1. The food was phenomenal 2. the traffic and congestion when leaving the villa was just not worth going out to try a restaurant. 3. the price works out to be very affordable. In planning, you must understand that you need to stock up for your entire stay for items that are not provided (snacks, drinks besides coffee and tea) You CAN get beer at the local "mini-mart", but there is no alcohol or wine, and the drive back into Depensar is at very least 90 minutes to a proper market. I would recommend stopping after airport arrival on the way to the villa. Believe me, no one will want to leave to make a beer run after arrival. The drivers stopped our two vans at a market in the city for us to shop and I don't want to say that we got ripped off, but we did catch a few mistakes when being rung up--an extra case of beer or bottle of liquor. It could have been a natural mistake as we had a large order, but we ended up spending more on drinks and snacks than we did for the entire week of food. I would choose your own market that looks good--we passed several outside of the very chaotic city center that would have been much easier to get in and out of. also get Balian currency--enough to pay chef. The little beach surf village just 5 min away was lovely, but the trash and plastic on the beach really ruins the zen. Unfortunately, it seems to be par for the course on Balian beaches--even in front of the villa. Nonetheless, we visited that beach every day for some nice waves, a beer at the beach bar and FANTASTIC $10 massages right at the bar (not AT the bar but the same building). Definitely do not miss that! You will spend your blissful week at The Cove trying to figure out whether to swim in the perfect pool, take a nap or wander up to see what delicious smell Wayan has coming from the kitchen!

Fabulous views, great location away from the crowds

This is authentic Bali -- far from the cheek-to-jowl crowds of the southern tourist areas, you are welcomed as though you were coming back home to family. The property manager (Putu) the chef (Wayan) and the driver (Maddy) simply couldn't do enough to make one feel welcome and to not just attend to but anticipate my requests and preferences in the most friendly and gracious way possible. Pair that up with a near-private beach (itinerant fisherman wander by now and then), a lovely pool, beautiful grounds, sunsets over the ocean framed by palms, and comfortable Balinese-style furnishings, and you'll be elated that you avoided the worst of Bali and found the best!

Dreams do come true

Just book it will not regret. Amazing house and view and the waves at night was so smoothing. The staff was amazing and can't say enough about the cook who amazed us with all of our requests. If you love seafood she can cook the best same day fresh. No words can say enough for this house and the private beach we enjoyed so much. We collected some many nice shells from the beach. House was very open for large group and felt like you had so much room. Only regret was we had to leave. Special thanks to Putu for being a amazing host.

Truly amazing.

We cannot say enough how we enjoyed our stay. From the moment we were picked up at the airport, to the return. The entire staff was so gracious. The FOOD! Wayan went out of her way every single day with every single meal! Putu made sure everything went smoothly and that we were all comfortable. For those who like a cool temperature room, it’s air conditioned, but not what we are use to. (USA). Keep the drapes closed during late afternoon and the air on. Unfortunately, there are people building a villa next door. But, there’s so much beauty to see, I guess it must be shared! We would highly recommend the Cove to anyone!

Life is Better at the Cove!

I’m ready to move here. My family and I have only been here a few days but even that little time has been transformative. Stretched out on the chaise lounge beside the infinity pool overlooking the beach, listening to the majesty of the crashing waves, I am convinced I need to change my ways and find a new forever life in Bali. At the Cove, specifically. The Cove has that perfect relaxed elegance that I think we all apire to. It’s luxurious and modern but still feels like home. It’s your posh, second home. Here, you can stretch out and sink in . . . But you don’t have to sink to the level of cleaning or cooking. Heaven forbid! The practical side of life - and all of its special requests - are taken care of by Putu, the manager and his staff. The seemingly invisible housekeepers keep everything impeccably neat while Chef Wayan in the kitchen makes her gourmet meals look effortless. And mine is a difficult family to cook for. We’re all organic, gluten free and casein-free. Although she’d never attempted this before, Wayan was able to make the most extraordinary gluten free, processed sugar-free lemon pie for my husband’s birthday. It was sublime! Truly, you’ll never want to leave. Meditation on the beach, yoga on the lawn, leisurely lunches by the pool, and elegant dinners watching the sunset. Life is better here.

Paradise on Earth

The Cove is a piece of Paradise on earth. I have never felt more taken care of in my life, as the staff at the house is outstanding. I asked for cooking class with the great chef, as she is a master of Indonesian cuisine. We ended up with 3 workshops in which she taught us her skills. The Cove is gorgeous, very luxurious and comfortable as a home. High Quality standards everywhere, luxury galore. Ask the staff's manager Putu for yoga classes, visits to a real Balinese healer, massages and anything you wish for, and he will arrange it. Eat outdoors in the landscaped garden with your view on a private piece of the ocean and swim in the kidney shaped pool overlooking the waves of the ocean mornings and evenings. The owners have a huge collection of books in the house available and have a great taste in bedding, towels, robes, everything soft, cozy and comfortable. Give yourself the favour of being able, if only just once, to live this adventure of beauty that is The Cove.

Life is Better at the Cove!

I’m ready to move here. My family and I have only been here a few days but even that little time has been transformative. Stretched out on the chaise lounge beside the infinity pool overlooking the beach, listening to the majesty of the crashing waves, I am convinced I need to change my ways and find a new forever life in Bali. At the Cove, specifically. The Cove has that perfect relaxed elegance that I think we all apire to. It’s luxurious and modern but still feels like home. It’s your posh, second home. Here, you can stretch out and sink in . . . But you don’t have to sink to the level of cleaning or cooking. Heaven forbid! The practical side of life - and all of its special requests - are taken care of by Putu, the manager and his staff. The seemingly invisible housekeepers keep everything impeccably neat while Chef Wayan in the kitchen makes her gourmet meals look effortless. And mine is a difficult family to cook for. We’re all organic, gluten free and casein-free. Although she’d never attempted this before, Wayan was able to make the most extraordinary gluten free, processed sugar-free lemon pie for my husband’s birthday. It was sublime! Truly, you’ll never want to leave. Meditation on the beach, yoga on the lawn, leisurely lunches by the pool, and elegant dinners watching the sunset. Life is definitely better here.

Beautiful beachfront getaway!

Just returned from Bali and a 9 day stay at The Cove and missing everyone there! We had the most amazing time mostly due to the incredible people who run the Cove, plus the views aren't so bad either! :-) From the beginning Rosella, the owner, answered all of our questions and gave us tons of great ideas of things to do in Bali. Every day we were pampered by Wayan, the chef, and her delicious meals. We especially loved the mornings, sitting out on the big outdoor dining table, listening to the waves and sipping Wayan's delicious coffee. Definitely missing her fresh fruit smoothies and banana crepes! Our days were spent traveling all throughout Bali and we couldn't have done it without the island expertise of Putu. As the Cove's house manager he went above and beyond for us...he was incredible! Putu always had great ideas for our long days out exploring and had a smile on his face after driving us to endless locations. I have to say we were quite demanding on exactly what we wanted to see and do and he always strived to give us exactly what we wanted. Our trip wouldn't have been the same without him! I highly recommend The Cove and next time might just stay put exploring the beauty of the house and it's location. Peaceful setting, amazing service—a trip to remember

The Cove was our best family trip to date. All the staff were fabulous and Wayan in particular goes above and beyond to create outstanding meals and take care of every possible need. The beaches—both directly down from the house and also the nearby area—are unspoiled, tranquil and vast. Rossella, the owner, is a pleasure to deal with and patiently answered every question and concern we had prior to arrival. We will always remember our special time at The Cove and feel anyone who is able to stay there is very fortunate indeed!

Secluded paradise, 5 star service

This property is perfectly situated for a quiet relaxing holiday. The staff at The Cove deliver professional service with a friendly Balinese smile every day. We stayed with our 4 children and all four enthusiastically stated 'best holiday ever'. The meals prepared by Chef Wayan were delicious and authentic. Not having to cook or grocery shop for 2 weeks made it an incredible holiday for me. We loved Bali and we loved this property and wouldn't hesitate to return again!

A paradise beyond expectations

From the moment you walk through the door and out onto the decking overlooking the stunningly beautiful view of the garden sloping down to the pool and ocean you know you have entered a paradise like nowhere else. It is an amazing place and like everyone else says the photos don't do it justice. We had a big family group stay at the villa for my wife's birthday. 14 guests in all, using up 5 rooms and it still felt so spacious. The Villa is incredible with views of the ocean from every room. The pool is a wonderful oasis from the heat and you can hang over the edge of the pool all day just looking out at the view of the beach which is right at your feet. A few of the bathrooms and showers are open to the elements and I actually had a shower every night under the stars. It is in the tropics though so expect to have some ants and bugs crawling around your room. We saw a big spider on the wall suddenly get eaten by a huge Gecko lizard living behind the flat screen TV. Wayan the inhouse chef does an incredible job of feeding the guests with freshly cooked pancakes and scrambled eggs for breakfast, the most delicious curry and satay flavoured lunches and dinners at a very cheap price. She even helped feed our children and was so wonderful with them. The staff are all great. Very unintrusive but efficient in maintaining the place. Wayan hired a photographer for us so we could have family photos on the beach. She organised a couple of people to come to the villa to give fantastic massages. And we had access to a big bus to drive all 14 of us around. The only thing you really need to consider when staying at the villa is that it is VERY far away from everything. Nothing is within walking distance. Access to the rest of the beach is cut off during high tide. There is a really great beach shack/cafe where all the surfers hang out and they do a very cheap lunch. It is about a 2 minute drive up the road. We hired a couple of scooters for the week which were delivered to the villa which meant we could ride to the ATM which is 10 mins away to get money out. And there is a very basic mini-mart about 10 mins away also. Ubud is at least 1.5 hours away and Kuta maybe 2.5 hours depending on traffic. We really enjoyed just slowing down and escaping the crazy pace of Bali and just lazed by the pool and ate and drank too much. The perfect holiday. We will never forget out time at The Cove and it will be a holiday that will be VERY hard to top.

Awesome Family Vacation

If your idea of a perfect vacation is to hang out by the pool or on a private, tropical beach with your family and friends while being pampered by an attentive staff and awesome chef, then The Cove is the place for you. We stayed there with two other families and it was absolutely perfect. The houses and the grounds were spectacular and the views out of this world. At times, we had to pinch ourselves to make sure it was all real. We can't wait to go back.

Our group comprised of three families with children aged 3-10. We could not have asked for a better getaway! The staff, house, pool and grounds were top-notch. We were pampered in every way. Optional meals were well worth the extra charge and our cook provided a variety of meals for different tastes. Very tasty! While you could easily spend several days just enjoying the villa, the surrounding area was excellent as well. We enjoyed walking down the beach toward the lazy surf community to the west (Balian Beach). There were a few low-key restaurants and excellent surfing on that beach. There is also a couple of surf breaks just out in front of The Cove, however you would want to be experienced as there are many hidden rocks just below the surface of the water. In addition, the owner was very attentive to any questions we had prior to arrival and was pleasant to deal with. We will definitely return!

In one word, Perfect

We were three Families with 6 Kids aged from 3 to 11 years. We felt like at home. The house is even more beautiful than It is looks in the pictures. Food was fantastic and the team of the house is absolutely amazing, respecting the privacy at any time. Beaches close to house are wonderful and never crowed . In few words we had the better holidays we could imagine

We are a family of five from Italy and the USA but have lived in Asia for over 10 years. The attraction to the ocean motivated the owners' dream to develop a beachfront home. The 7,000 square meter land plot was acquired in 2008, and Inspiral Architecture and Design Studios was commissioned to create a structure faithful to both local ideals and the aesthetic values of the owners.

Overseen by a UK construction manager and finished in 2014, the property was lovingly built over a four year period using local labor and traditional methods. Landscaping was completed by a Dutch artist and landscape architect. All joinery is reclaimed teak and ironwood or sustainable plantation teak.

The land itself on which the property is built is remarkable: the beach is not accessible to others unless it's low tide, and even then only a few local fishermen and lobster hunters will pass through.

The grotto on the right-hand side of the beach is a place of romance and adventure, and passing through it will bring you to a beach with a different feel, with extraordinary rock formations and exotic views. To the left-hand side of the beach lies another, much longer beach, accessible at low tide, that is fantastic for walking and shell-seeking.

The views one can enjoy from each room in the house are spectacular and ever-changing, depending on the room, the sun or the clouds and the intensity of the sunset. The property is big enough that one can at any time feel they have enough personal space, even when the house is full.

Whether it is relaxing in your own terrace or deck, taking a swim in the pool, walking through the coconut grove, watching the waves from the cabana, playing a tennis match barefoot on the grass court, lounging in the living room or enjoying a massage-- there is always a place to go where it feels like nobody else is around.

The staff, entirely from the local area, is very kind and personable and the chef cooks delicious, fresh and gourmet food every day. It is a pleasure to discuss the next day's meals with the chef, and sitting down at lunch and dinner is always a lovely experience.
