Colin and Patty always make us feel welcome. They are so sincere about wanting to make sure we have everything we need and are there so quickly if any need should arise. We appreciate them so much! This was our fourth year in a row staying at their property and we are already looking forward to next year.

Upon arrival at 4:00 pm, we were required to contact an agent to get the entry code. At that time, we were told that the owner would be by shortly with a complimentary case of water, a nice gesture indeed. We waited. Colin (the owner) showed up after 7:00 pm, unannounced. During that interval, we explored our new home. The home was clean and nicely appointed with fully stocked kitchen appliances, pots and pans and comfy furniture. The pool was beautiful, just as pictured in the listing. Our decision to book this property was based largely on the backyard and it’s amenities, such as the outdoor kitchen, loungers, furniture, and tropical cabana. Those were all a huge disappointment! The cabana is literally falling apart and a real safety hazard. The outdoor kitchen is non-operable, as disclosed by the owner when he dropped off the water. Upon closer inspection, it was not only non-operable but full of rat droppings and debris. Quite disgusting. There were no shade umbrellas, as pictured, and the lounger’s rattan was rotted and unsafe. All of the outdoor furniture was dirty and clearly had not been tended to for some time.THERE IS MUCH MORE TO THIS COMPLAINT I NEED TO SUBMIT. HOW DO I DO THAT? I look forward to your timely response. I’ve attached photos of the current state of the property. These should be compared to the photos in the listing to highlight the massive discrepancies. Suffice it to say that the property listing was inaccurate and extremely misleading.

We stayed here for our son’s nearby wedding. The location and room to entertain family members was fantastic. The outside pool area is special. I would recommend staying here for any event in the Camarillo area.

Great Family Friendly Home with Resort Like Feel

We had family in town for my son's wedding and needed a house that could comfortably hold 10-12 people since not everyone could stay at my house. This house did more than that, it provided an amazing vacation feel in a laid-back setting. The house itself features ample space and bedrooms on each side of the house to give privacy and space to all. The Kitchen and Dining Room and Family Room area is nice and open and you can cook, grill or just hang out there quite nicely. The backyard is amazing, with a beautiful pool and deck area in a quiet and serene neighborhood. There is only the open wooded barranca area in the back yard so it's quite private. There is plenty of parking in the front yard and the house even has a cool game room with pool and darts in the converted garage. Patti comes there in person to greet you and show you how everything works. I would stay here in a heart beat as it was perfect for adults only or couples or adults with young teens as there is space for all in a relaxing setting.

Great Stay with a Few Minor Areas for Improvement

My friends and I had an enjoyable stay at this property! The heated pool was absolutely a highlight—we used it every day and it made our trip even more relaxing. The location was perfect for everything we wanted to do, and the space was comfortable and well laid out for a large group.We also appreciated the thoughtful touches like bottled water, condiments, paper towels, and soap being available when we arrived. Communication with the host was excellent throughout our stay; they were responsive and helpful.That said, there are a few things that could be improved. Some areas that aren’t used daily such as the outdoor seating area could use a deep clean as we noticed accumulating spiderwebs. There were also some stains on the towels and sheets that we switched out upon arrival. One disappointment was that the pool heater was set to automatically turn off each night, and since we used the pool most in the evenings, this impacted our enjoyment a bit.Overall, it was a very nice stay. The home is in a great location, the pool was clean, communication was great, and the price felt fair for what was offered. With a few small improvements, this would be an easy five-star stay.

Great hangout! We were in town for a wedding (my son’s) and had nine people stay and could not have been more comfortable! Highly recommend!

Great Potential but there are a few issues

We traveled with older family members from Indiana for a funeral in Oxnard. The house was very spacious and just the right size for what we needed. Unfortunately, the oven did not work properly and did not get up to temperature to heat meat for a family dinner. We had to take it to a family members home in Camarillo to bake and bring back. Thankfully, this was the only meal we had planned that needed the stove. Patty was notified and hopefully this is fixed.The outside grill worked well for barbequing. Stocked utensils in the kitchen was a little stretch as there were only 3 forks. We did go to Walmart and purchase forks to use and did leave behind for those who come behind us.It does appear to have been recently painted but they did miss replacing at least two outlet covers.Things happen with homes and we do understand that. During our stay one bathroom, the kitchen sink, dishwasher and laundry area went down due to a plumbing issue. While this was a great inconvenience Patty did get a plumber to come out and fix that day. Unfortunately, my husband was left to manage the issue and Patty did not ever come to the property to evaluate. The plumbers were there 3 hours and Patty was notified at least once as they needed to call out an additional plumber to repair the issue. She never came to property nor did she follow up with me after the issue to insure all was good or to have the bathroom cleaned when "dirty" water did back up into the bathtub.

Beautiful Escape

The house is lovely with 5 bedrooms that we needed. The backyard was stunning with enough seating around the pool and luscious landscape. The managers were exceptionally friendly and helpful, even sending a message for a lovely Mothers Day. We will be returning next year.

Perfect place for a family stay

Wonderful and spacious property in a quiet and relaxing neighborhood. A great place if you have a large group who wants to be driving distance from Los Angeles and Malibu, but also want the option to visit Santa Barbara and Solvang. Our property manager was fantastic, friendly and welcoming. The kitchen was very well equipped if you're planning on large family meals at home, and the backyard offered plenty of space for everyone to have their own place to sit, relax and enjoy the Southern California weather. Highly recommend.

Wedding

The house was in a perfect location close to our son's wedding venue. Pat and Colin were very nice hosts. In our opinion, the home itself can use a lot of updating. When we first arrived, we discovered the only grill available was unusable. The large built-in grill was not functioning at all, which we were told upon arrival. We were looking forward to using it based on the photos. The fire pit was also not working. Colin did come as soon as we contacted him to patch up the basic grill and attempted to fix the fire pit. It was never fixed. The pool storage chest was dirty and everything in it was either not useable, broken, or dirty. We didn't know about the ant issue until we read the informational book and saw all the ant traps throughout the house. It was very evident the next day. We discovered ants everywhere including where we stored our food items. Unfortunately, we were disappointed in the home. We wish Pat and Colin the best.

Home away from home

This is the third year in a row that our ladies group from church has stayed here for our annual refresh and we are already looking forward to next year. Expansive Pool Area

The home was very comfortable and our 3-generation family especially enjoyed the huge and very private outdoor pool area. The neighborhood was very quiet and secluded; however, it was close to shopping and other conveniences.

Girl’s Get-away

We ladies enjoyed a wonderful, relaxing week in this beautiful house. The place was spacious enough for the six of us to spread out and a kitchen with enough room for all of the chefs in our group. The backyard was the shining glory. The pool was heated. There were plenty of chairs and tables in different seating arrangements so that we could have meals together outside or just lay out in our own nook. The plants and hillside off the back deck gave the whole place a tropical hide-away vibe. This house and location were just what we hoped for. I’d happily recommend this place for any family or group getaway.

Nice Size But Dirty Home - Needs Updating

This home suited our needs as far as the location and number of bedrooms but the home was dirty and needs updating. We had ants in one of the bathrooms which they had known about since there were cans of ant and roach spray in two locations. The carpet had bad dirty stains in one of the bedrooms. The washing machine and the dishwasher both leaked when used. I wish I could include the picture I took of the carpet. They charged a lot for cleaning but must be doing it themselves. Furnishings, bedding and such need to be replaced and updated.

Fantastic Experience

This is our second time staying at this property and it will not be our last. I came with our women’s ministry for a ladies getaway. Patty met us on Thursday to get us settled in. As always she was so kind and made us feel so welcome. The property is a beautiful place to get away and relax. Our group came last year so it felt like we were back at our home away from home. We are already looking forward to next year.
