Comfortable, cute and clean

We spent a month at this lovely home. We especially enjoyed the shaded lanai in the afternoons. Property was within a mile of grocery store and neighborhood was quiet and safe. Very enjoyable stay.

Pleasant Stay

Cozy home in a nice neighborhood. Home has all the amenities you need for both indoor and outdoor fun. Fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and nice backyard screen and patio. Walkable distance to several good restaurants, a major grocery store and many other shops. Would definitely stay here again.

Relaxing stay in Gulf Gate

We enjoyed our stay very much. The home was furnished with every my family needed for a relaxing stay. We have family that lives in Sarasota and the location was very central and convenient to our family, shopping and restaurants. I grew up a few streets away and it’s neat to see the Gulf Gate area 40 years later is well maintained and has kept its Florida charm. The owners were very responsive to the questions I had and easy to deal with.

Tasteful property

This is a lovely, spacious house in a great neighborhood. The furnishings are tasteful and comfortable (especially the bed) and the hot tub was a great treat. Lovely yard, great outdoor shower, loads of big, plush towels. The owner is reachable and responsive. All in all--an A Plus experience!

Would be fantastic if...

Hi Lisa, Here are some ideas you could use to make a stay in your home a fantastic one. What was perfect? Location of the house (near everything) Spa & outdoor shower, linens & TV including the very quiet neighborhood. What need to be addressed is the cleanliness of the house: no one had clean this house for several weeks: very dusty wardrobes (which actually need a good paint), fridge & freezer dirty, island full of bread crums, stains & sticky surface, grills in stove dirty, cupboards doors and handles sticky & stained, floors full of dog hair , dust & stains, even dead insects & leaves (not washed for several weeks), rugs are either stained, full of dust or so old ( some should definitely be removed). Bar-B-Q outside + tools & lanai were dirty as well. As we had to clean ourselves, we had to buy soap also: not enough cleaning products. The house is located 6 miles of the beach and not 2 miles as mentionned. We would recommend you fix the master bed so it stops "complaining" upon every movement. We would recommend you also review the plumbing as we had to pomp the toilet & sink every now & then to make them work properly. Your house is not new but it would not take much to greatly improve the stay of your clients. Thanks for the abundant supply of linens, towels & beach chairs. Too bad you do not reside near Sarasota as we would have preferred to talk & show you our findings in person. Next year, we already booked another house but thanks for your offer.

For us this place has it all.

3rd time vacation to Sarasota is a charm. Felt like a quiet home (not so much at the other places we stayed at.) Well stocked and decorated with quality furniture inside and outside. Dog-friendly with a park-like 0.6 mile loop around nearby church. Dog-friendly Turtle Beach on Seista Key. Sun or shade as you want in a truly private back yard; the other places not so much. Wonderful hot tub spa - my bad back has never been better. Central location near most of the restaurants and shops we went to in previous years. Walking distance to Gulf Gate shopping area, restaurants, and Publix.

We fell in love with this house and the location, everything was nice and clean very convenient to restaurants and shopping, the outdoor shower was our favorite, I would definitely stay here again

Paradise in Sarasota

We spent the month of February at this property and we could not have asked for more. The location is perfect, close to everything. The neighborhood is quiet. The house was beautiful and had everything we would ever need. The owner responded quickly to every question and need we had. Definitely would come back here. It was a home away from home.

Well kept and appointed, excellent location

The house was very clean, and well maintained. The location is superb for quick access to beaches and restaurants , Legacy Tail, and other points of interest. The owners were quickly responsive to any needs. We enjoyed our stay.

Can't wait to go back!

We rented this house for a week at the end of May to serve as a "home base" while my daughter visited prospective colleges. Our stay was PERFECT! The moment we walked in the house, we could tell is was well cared for. The owners have thought of (and supplied!) everything you could think you might need. The kitchen is fully stocked- everything you need from the "obvious, necessary" blender to the "rarely thought of in a kitchen" mortar & pestle! In the Living Room, there is a Wii with a few games, a blu-ray player and a few movies, and a new tv. It has a unique semi-open floor plan with a great screened in porch that allows you to sit outside and enjoy the weather without having to deal with the bugs! Around the corner of the patio is a nice, private hot tub and an awesome outdoor shower! The beds were clean and, man, were they comfortable! The home is cozy and inviting and was perfect for putting your feet up and relaxing after a day at the beach... whoops! I mean "college visit"! Speaking of the beach.... the closest beach is a quick 5min drive right over the bridge. Drive another 5min further and you're right in the heart of Siesta Key! There we found WONDERFUL restaurants, BEAUTIFUL beaches, and lots of shops. The owners have provided a beach umbrella, beach cart, and chairs for you to use while you're there. There are a few beach toys there, as well, if you have younger children. Publix Supermarket is less than a mile away from the house. About a 10min walk down the street will bring you to a few bars and restaurants- no need to worry about driving or needing to call Uber! The house is nestled in a nice, quiet community. We're really looking forward to staying at this house again soon! We might even bring my husband & the boys next time!!

Fantastic location and a perfect house

After renting the house for a month I can honestly stay that this location is perfect. There is plenty of space, both inside and outside, and the house comes with all you need for a stay. I can highly recommend this place, the owners really make sure you have a fantastic stay.

Very comfortable and convenient to everything

We rented Gulf Gate for 2 weeks to get away from N.H ice and cold. It was so relaxing. Kids came to visit and spent most time at Siesta Beach. We older folk could spend time absorbing some vitamin D on the deck in the back of the house. Many restaurants very close. Looking forward to returning next year.

Great place to stay

This house exceeded my expectations. The layout inside was perfect for my family of four. We were close to the beach and I liked staying off the island. It was much easier to enjoy the Sarasota amenities.

We had a wonderful stay at Siesta Seagate. The cottage is immaculate, charming and very well appointed. The location is very quiet and comfortable with convenient access to stores and restaurants as well as in close driving proximity of all the wonderful things Sarasota has to offer. We loved sitting outside at night in the wonderful screened in area. Lisa, our host, was available at all times and made us feel most welcome! I would definitely recommend staying at Siesta Seagate! Loved it! So cute and charming with that wide open feel. We enjoyed sitting outside in the screen room under the umbrella in the pouring rain (such a treat coming from dry dry dry California) Very comfortable and immaculate. Thank you for hosting us on such short notice!

Absolutely wonderful experience!

Absolutely wonderful experience! The owners were very friendly and answered emails promptly. They were patient with all my questions and allowed me an early check-in and a late check-out,no questions, or problems. they were completely accommodating! House was exactly as described but even cuter and nicer in person! Looks newly renovated with great, easy to clean floors, granite counters, etc. They had extra bedding and towels and paper products and cleaning supplies and detergent and ziplocks and garbage bags and foil and saran wrap, and s&p and other spices... everything you could possibly need! House was well-equipped and even had a high end Wolf gas range! Not to mention all the outside areas that were landscaped so beautifully, fenced for privacy and included an outside walk-in shower and a hot tub! It was very private and quiet, the corner house in the street. And location, location, location! Grocery stores, shops and more all within walking distance and near the Siesta Key bridge! Can travel north to St Petersburg, or south to Venice Beach and beyond with quick access to interstates... I couldn't say enough about this adorable little house! Loved it! Will try to come back soon!

Great Location, Great House

Road bikes to the beach, played cards on the lanai, soaked in the hot tub, and grilled out back in this little tropical oasis. Loved the outdoor shower with hot water and the convenience of close by shopping and golf. Will definite stay here again!

Gulf Gate is one of the largest, most established communities near the south bridge to famous Siesta Key Beach. We loved this house's location from the moment we found it, with it's circular drive-thru carport, the sanctuary of its private and serene backyard, the open layout of the living space, and it's perfect location -- a short walk to the newly renovated public library, loads of neighborhood restaurants and shopping, and...of course, it's proximity to America's #1 beach.

You will not find a better stocked kitchen than ours! Plenty of pots and pans, bakeware, and service dishes will make cooking a breeze and ensure that your stay is not only fun but tasty! We also have four well-maintained bikes for getting around and lots of beach equipment and chairs. We take great pride in our house - it's an extension of our hearts.
