El condominio perfecto de 2 dormitorios y 2 baños para una estancia relajante en un complejo de condominios impecablemente mantenido en el corazón del vecindario Hillcrest de San Diego.

Este condominio completamente remodelado y altamente actualizado cuenta con un amplio plan de piso abierto con pisos de madera personalizados y baños con azulejos, aire acondicionado central, televisor de alta definición de 55 '', internet de alta velocidad con WIFI privado, lavadora y secadora estándar en la unidad. El dormitorio principal tiene un amplio vestidor, cama queen size y ventilador de techo. El baño principal cuenta con una espaciosa ducha con múltiples cabezales de ducha. El segundo baño tiene una bañera grande con ducha. La cocina cuenta con nuevos electrodomésticos de acero inoxidable, encimeras de granito de losa y está bien equipada con todas las necesidades para la preparación de comidas.

I have been renting properties for many years now and I have never met or experienced a host as kind and as efficient as Larry. The unit was immaculate. The neighborhood was diverse. The pool was delightful. All in all it was a wonderful stay. I hope to go back again

So conveniently located we could be anywhere in minutes. Well maintained condo, perfect for get-away from desert heat. Owner was so helpful and responsive. Would recommend if you are choosing to spend time in San Diego.

Highly Recommend This Property

We highly recommend this property. Larry was extremely helpful . At check in he met us there and walked us through how everything worked. The property is exactly as listed, -clean, well stocked, secure location and close to everything! Nice pool and work out room . So many excellent restaurants within walking distance. The Sunday Farmers Market is 2 blocks away. We will definitely return.

Surprised it was Upstairs

So many nice things about this property. Larry met me and gave me a tour of the place. The shower is awesome in the master bath and and the guest soaking tub was a treat. Although the apartment does not get much direct sunshine, the lighting with dimmers on nearly every switch was gave good control over all lighting needs. In the kitchen, utensils were nice and there was plenty of prep space with a nice sink. A nice, but unusual feature, was enough TP and Paper towels to last the entire month. Only real negative for me was the beds. Bed in guestroom is too soft. The bed in the master bedroom was too tall (maybe a little step stool could make this easier to get in and out). The plus for this tall bed is the numerous drawers underneath it. The little desk in the master bedroom got a lot of use, with most common office supplies included. More than enough closet and drawer space. Lots of towels and they were of superior quality than most VRBOs. Location to restaurants and the post office could not be better. If you do not have a bicycle to haul up the stairs, you will not find the stairs difficult. Underground garage is nice with an elevator up to the ground floor so you only have to carry your groceries up one flight of stairs. Larry was delightful to work with and got immediately back to me on any issue. Good location, Attentive owner, and Nice apartment. No wonder Larry has so many great reviews.

Very Comfortable and outstanding location

I was in SD for several weeks in late 2021 and stayed at Larry's condo. Upon my arrival, he met me at the condo and acclimated me to the property and area, as well as, helped me unload my belongings. The property was very well equipped with everything needed to make my stay very comfortable. The property is well maintained and ideally located within walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Grocery stores are literally within sight of the condo. I'm an avid walker so enjoyed being able to walk to Balboa Park and the many trails and amenities it offers. Additionally, beaches and other places of interest are a short drive away. Larry was always available via text and very quick to respond without being intrusive.. Even though the property is conveniently located in the heart of Hillcrest, it is very quiet. I would definitely book this property again if I planned to be in San Diego.

Bad Experience happened to me While my stay in this Condo that belongs to Larry the Host !!!

First,The Host is Very particular about everything! Second, He made My mom and I Feel very uncomfortable! The Same Day U checked in to His Condo later After MIDNIGHT Around 12:28 Am ,He Sends Me a Text message to my Cell phone Letting me me Know That He Has a Women That wants to LOOK At His Condo As she Is interested in Renting His Condo in February 2022. He Asked me if he can show her around his Condo the next Day of Us Checking In .HE SAID IT WILL Only TAKE 10 minutes To Show her His Condo and He Asked me If They can Come to the condo at 2:30pm the Next day of my Checking in to his Condo WICH I Rented threw VRBO. I CALLED Him that Morning at 12:30 am And Told him I’m Not COMFORTABLE WITH ANYONE COMING TO THE CONDO WHILE IM RENTING AND STAYING THERE AS IT Is ONLY FOR me AND MY MOM. We SHOULD GAVE PRIVACY. HE INSISTED IN SHOWING HER HIS CONDO THAT IM RENTING WITH MY MOM! ITOLD HIM THEY CAN Come at 6:00 pm the Next Day of my CHEK in.Then He Texted me in the Morning at 8:34 telling me that the woman who want to see his condo has a Conference Meeting and any make it at 6:00 pm !!! THEN HE ASKES E IF THEY CAN OVER TO THE CONDO AT 8:34 WHILE WE ARE SLEEPING To Show her Around the condo at 11:30 am or 2:00 pm The Next day As she HAS SOME TIME FREE AT Those times of 11:30 Am On October10th 2021 And 2:00 pm ON OCTOBER 10th Of 2021!! That Put me OFF AND I WAS Very DISAPPOINTED AND DISTURBED AND UPSET AND HE CAUSED MEALIT OF STRESS AND ANXIETY WICH CAUSED ME MIGRAINES AND FEELING UNHAPPY AND NERVOUS ALLTHE TIME I WAS STAYING AT HIS CONDO. A SECURITY GUY TOOK PICTURES AND VIDEOS OF MY INTHE POOL AREA WHILE I WASIN THE JACUZZI WITH MY SWIMSUIT AND TOWEL !! HE WAS FILMING ME ILLEGALLY IN HIS PERSONAL CELLPHONE AND SAID THAT IF I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH HIM FILMING ME AND TAKING PICTURES OF ME In HIS CELL PHONE (WICH IS ILLEGAL ! WICH IS A CRIME!!) THAT I SHOULD TALK TO THE LAND LORD ! (WICH IS LARRY THE HOST OF THE CONDO THAT I RENTED THREW VRBO) I TOLD THE HOST LARRY ABOUT EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENED TI ME WITH THE SECURITY GUARD, HE PROMISED TO SOLVE THE WHOLE ISSUE BY GETTING THE NAME OF THE COMPANY THAT THE SECURITY GAURD(WHO TOOK ILLEGAL PICTURES AND VIDEOS OF ME WEARING A SWIMSUIT AND TOWEL) WORKS FOR AND THE NAME OF HIS MANEGER SO THAT I, LARRY AND THE MANGER OF THE SECURITY GUARD(THE SECURITY GUARD WORKS AT THE UPTOWN DISTRICT WHERE I RENTED THE Condo threw VROB)CAN MEET To SOLVE This ILLEGAL ISSUE(CRIME)CONCERNING MY PRIVACY!Larry Didn’t Solve IT!!

Fantastic experience

Loved this property!! I stayed here for 5 weeks across Aug/Sep '19. Larry and Mark were great hosts. They took care to ensure my stay was as smooth as possible whilst giving me all the privacy and space I desired. The condo had everything you would need to live home-from-home and the complex amenities - gym, pool - were a great bonus. The local area had some great spots incl. the InsideOut restaurant which I loved. Cannot recommend this place enough. Would love to stay there again on my many trips to SD. Great location, lovely condo

This condo head every single one needs to have a great stay in San Diego. The heated pool is a plus, as is the exercise room. The fact that it’s next to two great grocery stores is another plus. It has underground parking, and it’s only a short distance from many walkable eating options. It’s also not far from Balboa Park and on off ramps to the highways, yet it’s quiet. We would certainly stay here again as the host is very accommodating

Perfect property - perfect location!

This was the perfect spot for our getaway to San Diego. "We" were three women who hadn't seen each other for many, many years, so we needed a spot for lots of talking and relaxing as well as somewhere that was convenient for going to the beach, the theatre, or downtown. This is that place. It is very quiet and secure, but we could get up in the morning and take a 3-minute walk to Starbucks or the grocery store if we wanted. Or take time out in the afternoon to sit by the pool. If we wanted a longer walk, we could go to the zoo and back. On Sundays, there is a great farmer's market about a block away. The farmer's market is so nice, I think I will plan my next trip to include a Sunday, just so I can go again. It also might be helpful to note that the condo itself has lots of the things we needed. For instance, the condo had beach towels, a beach umbrella, sufficient paper products, hair dryers, and basic food items (seasonings, oil, and the like). We didn't bring anything more than we would have brought if we were staying in a hotel. Lastly, I must say that the owner is more supportive than any I have seen previously. He was never around unless we needed help, and then he was available almost immediately with a helpful suggestion or visit. He was so accommodating that I know when I go to San Diego again, whether with this group or another, I will surely be looking for this property to stay in. It just has everything we wanted or needed, and after spending a month there, it feels a little like "home."

Cozy Hillcrest Condo

We absolutely loved staying at this condo! It is clean, comfortable, spacious and not to mention incredibly close to everything you could need in Hillcrest. The pool and gym were an added bonus! Larry checked in with us frequently and went above and beyond to provide everything we needed and more. Would highly recommend!

This is a great place to stay in San Diego.

This is a great place to stay in San Diego. The location is within walking distance of Balboa Park. The front entrance opens onto a pedestrian only street and it is only a two-minute walk to buy groceries. You can find nice restaurants within a five to ten minute walk. It has all the amenities that we need for cooking and laundry, etc. It is clean, well appointed and very quiet. I 'd recommend this to anyone wanting to stay in this San Diego location.

A beautiful space in a great neighborhood.

This was the second year that we have spent the winter in Larry’s wonderful condo in Hillcrest. That fact that we’ve already reserved for next year probably conveys how much we enjoy staying there. We’ve been spending winters in San Diego for over ten years and have stayed in several different places. But none have provided such a perfect combination of what we enjoy in a vacation home; a beautiful, well maintained space in a secure and quiet community, a perfect location easily accessible to anywhere in San Diego and a very responsive and considerate owner. Hillcrest remains our favorite neighborhood because of its proximity to the Zoo and Balboa Park, as well as public transportation, restaurants, shops and grocery stores. In short, if you decide to rent from Larry, you will be very satisfied with your decision.

Very nice place to stay

I stayed two months with my family at this very nice condo. Its location very convenient and close to markets Ralps and Trader Joes. Also there is a Whole Foods in a few blocks range. Larry is very good host. He helped us a lot. Thanks again Larry.

Great place to stay, clean and comfortable

We were planning a vacation and decided to go to San Diego. I checked the hotel rates which I found to be a bit expensive, so we decided to look for a private condo. We looked and read the reviews online and decided we would stay at a condo in the Hillcrest area. I contacted the owner Larry Grimaldi who responded to my inquiry promptly. I made the arrangements for the month of July and all went very smoothly. Later, we decided that we wanted to have a few more days at the end of June, so I contacted Larry and asked him if the unit was available for the last four days in June as well. Fortunately, the condo wasn’t rented and we were able to get those dates as well. We arrived in San Diego and got to the condo and we were very impressed with the condition of the condo, it was very clean and well kept up. The next day Larry called first and then come over to introduce himself, he mentioned if there were any problems to give him a call and he would take care of them. After a week we noticed the under mount sink garburator was leaking. I mentioned this to Larry and it was replaced the same day. The two bedroom condo was very well equipped with everything you would need from paper towels, silverware, pots, pans, dishes, laundry detergent with a washer and dryer and lots of towels. There was even a lot of cooking essentials like, spices, olive oil that one would have in their own home. The kids loved the pool and the hot tub and I made use of the fitness center which was great. It was only a short walk to Ralphs, Trader Joes, Starbucks, the bank, restaurants, or any of the many other amenities one might require. The condo complex was very well kept and very clean. There was also a parking spot that was supplied with the condo. The condo is well situation and you have easy access to public transportation or fFor our summer vacation we wanted to visit San Diego in the month of July. Initially, we were going to stay in a hotel around the hotel circle and creeway access to the airport or beach which is only a few minutes away. Overall, this condo was a great place to stay. Amazing condo in great location

I spent 2 months at the condo for temporary work in San Diego and don't have one negative comment. It is at a amazing location within walking distance of everything you need. There are restaurants, grocery stores, sushi, and much more. The owner was cheerful and always accommodating. The condo is well stocked for everything you think you might need: beach towels, cleaning supplies, dishes, cooking supplies, etc. The shower in the master is a huge rain shower that makes you want to stay in the condo all day. Great parking in a underground garage which is fantastic - there is even a perfect car that he rents out for a very affordable price if you need a car. The condo is homely and a very comfortable place to stay. I didn't want to leave after two months of being there.

A beautifully designed condo in perfect location

A beautifully designed condo As refugees from Minnesota, my partner Dianne and I always look forward to our winters in San Diego. We’ve been coming out here for over ten years. In the past we’ve rented bungalows since, we love Craftsman, as well as condos. But this year we found a winter residence that was perfect for us. Larry’s condo is beautifully appointed. The unit is light-filled, easy to maintain with a pleasant, open plan. I should add that Larry Grimaldi is an exceptional landlord, accommodating and very responsive to any questions or concerns. The space is generous and no comfort is overlooked including the super comfortable beds, the luxury bathrooms and large flat screen TV. The unit is part of a large condo complex, but it was surprisingly quiet both day and night. Street noise wasn’t an issue at all. Since we stay for a longer period, we like to cook at home, although it’s hard to resist the dozens of excellent restaurants within walking distance. The beautifully remodeled kitchen had everything we needed to do some serious cooking. The location is perfect. On Sundays one of the best farmers markets in town is a block away. A typical day began with a twenty-minute walk to the San Diego Zoo or Balboa Park. Hillcrest’s commercial node is also within short walking distance as are a number of grocery stores. Excellent Location

My husband and I spent the months of Novemer and December in this condo. It is very spacious, secure and extremely comfortable. The location is incredible - located close to many fun places to have an evening drink or a bite to eat. The pool and workout area are another plus. We met some very nice people and the complex is maintained exceptionally well. The owner was quick to respond if we ever had any questions or concerns. Our only regret was having to leave.

Great place, convenient to everything

Larry is an excellent host who is attentive to everything. My wife and I stayed at his place for three months and were very comfortable. The beds and couch are comfortable with each of the two beds fitted with a pillow top. The place was immaculate when we checked in. There is an assigned parking space in the garage with ample parking usually available on the street. The unit's location is excellent. Three minute walk away to Starbuck's, supermarkets, yoga studio and tons of restaurants. This place is a good and comfortable stay for any reason.

Just Like Home

I was very pleased with my interactions with Larry as well as his representation of the condo via the website. Larry provided prompt, detailed, and useful communications throughout the entire process and his photos and descriptions of the condo and its amenities were spot-on. My husband and I stayed in the condo as we prepared for a move. Although we had been living out of our suitcases for two months, the condo felt just like home. Many thoughtful amenities were provided. Not once did we need to purchase any kitchen/cleaning supplies like dish soap, laundry detergent, paper towels, and ziplock bags. There was even a “junk drawer”, much like we would have had in our own home, filled with miscellaneous items like bag clips, birthday candles, batteries, all of which we used during our stay. The condo is centrally located with easy access to downtown, Mission and Fashion Valley and the beach. We often left the car behind because there is so much that Hillcrest has to offer. I would highly recommend this condo to anyone traveling to the San Diego area who wants a condo that feels just like home.

Two Month Stay

What a wonderful place in a great location.... The unit is one of the only condos accessible from inside or outside of the property. Multiple grocery stores, restaurants, coffee shops, yoga studios, bars, etc are within a very short walk. The owner was very accommodating and helpful explaining the area to us and provided plenty of toiletries and supplies that lasted our entire stay. Would return in a heartbeat!

Best Host Ever!

Larry should train other VRBO hosts how to do this! He was gracious, welcoming, and responsive. When one smoke alarm malfunctioned, he replaced all of them within hours. He replied to every text immediately. The condo was spotless and thoroughly stocked with paper, cleaning, and laundry products, more than enough for my 2-month stay. Some places barely have a roll of toilet paper when a new guest arrives! I enjoyed the complex pool and hot tub, and the neighborhood where everything is within easy walking distance--grocery stores, a variety of restaurants, bank, nail salon, post office--all the necessities and much more!

Great Apartment and Area

My wife, my in laws and myself were very happy during our stay. The owner is always available and has the apartment very clean and in great condition. You are within a very short walk to a couple of supermarkets and a ton of restaurants. Also very convenient area to visit downtown, Balboa and the Fashion Valley area.

I travel to San Diego for business frequently and fell in love with area, it's climate and it's many other attractions. I bought the condo as my second home so I could enjoy the area when i'm not working and the snow is falling at home in Colorado.

I selected this condo first for it's premier location, which is walkable to many restaurants, grocery stores and other businesses and local infrastructure. Secondly, I bought this particular unit because it's private entrance made it feel just like home.
