We, Denise and Richard, are a British-Belgian couple, retired teachers, living in Austria. We love skiing and hiking, and never tire of Kaprun and the surrounding area!

Our daughter Stephanie (shown with Denise in the picture) will be your host at the apartment. Here she introduces herself:

I am a ski instructor working for Snowsports Kaprun here on the Kitzsteinhorn in Austria. I am aiming to complete my level 3 qualification (Landesskilehrer) with the race test in December 2025. I have taught in various resorts in Austria, both privately and as part of ski schools, since I took my first Austrian qualification (Anwärter, equivalent to level 2 in the UK) in 2016.

My guests include beginners, just starting their snow sports journey, all the way to advanced skiers who are looking to improve their technique carving or in the moguls.

Each guest comes to the sport with qualities and learning patterns unique to them. So I take a very personal approach to my teaching, tailoring it to best fit each person. Using a mix of conversation, video analysis and exercises combined with various fun activities on snow and in the park, my goal is to provide a comfortable and exiting environment for my guests to learn in and achieve their personal goals.

At the heart of my teaching is my passion for the mountains and winter environment. It is my hope that all my guests end their time with me having experienced the awesome beauty of nature in the snowy peaks, and that they take home with them great memories and a desire to return to the mountains next winter.
