We live right here in beautiful Blowing Rock and feel incredibly lucky to call this charming mountain town our home. Just outside of nearby Boone, we run a local pottery community studio—it's a place where creativity, community, and the slower pace of mountain life all come together. Whether we’re throwing clay, hiking a local trail, or walking into town for coffee, we never take this area for granted—and we love getting to share a bit of that magic with our guests.

Hosting is something we truly enjoy. We’ve designed The Carriage House to be cozy, comfortable, and walkable to everything Blowing Rock has to offer because that’s how we love to travel ourselves. Whether you're here for the hiking, shopping, skiing, or simply relaxing, we’re happy to share tips, favorite spots, or just give you space to enjoy your trip.

Blowing Rock is a small town, but it’s full of heart, natural beauty, and special places that keep people coming back year after year. It brings us real joy to help others discover why this little corner of the Blue Ridge is so special.

We chose this neighborhood because it offers the best of both worlds—peaceful mountain living with the convenience of being just a short walk to everything Blowing Rock has to offer. Tucked among native mountain laurels and surrounded by trees, the area has a quiet, natural feel that makes you feel immersed in the mountains the moment you arrive.

One of our favorite things about this location is how connected it is to nature while still being incredibly close to town. Within just a few minutes' walk, you can grab a morning coffee, enjoy a meal at a local restaurant, browse through charming shops, or spend an afternoon at the beautiful town park. The park is a true community hub—with tennis courts, pickleball, volleyball, a playground, and even a seasonal town pool. It's a great place to relax, play, or just people-watch.

The Blowing Rock Art & History Museum is also nearby, and it's a must-visit for anyone who enjoys local culture and creativity. And for outdoor lovers, hiking trails and Bass Lake are just down the road, offering peaceful paths and scenic views right in town.

Inside, the home is spacious and thoughtfully laid out, making it perfect for families or groups. With 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, and a bonus movie room with a twin daybed and trundle, there’s room for everyone to spread out and relax. After a full day of exploring the Blue Ridge Parkway or hitting the slopes at Appalachian Ski Mountain, you’ll appreciate coming back to a cozy space where you can unwind.

The full kitchen is great for those who like to cook a few meals at home—whether it’s a big breakfast before heading out or a casual dinner after a busy day. And with plenty of parking, there’s no stress if you’re traveling with multiple vehicles or coming back late from a day trip.
