Cabaña privada, magnífica habitación de 720 pies cuadrados, cocina completa, baño, amplia sala de estar / comedor. Lanai cubierto con parrilla de gas, asientos en el patio, área de cenador cubierto con hamacas y sillas colgantes. Convenientemente ubicado justo al lado de la famosa costa de la 'Red Road'. Cerca de flujos de lava anteriores y aventuras oceánicas, eventos comunitarios, mercados y el pintoresco pueblo de Pahoa. ¡Este es absolutamente el lugar MÁS LIMPIO que encontrarás para tus vacaciones en Puna!

Vida limpia, privada y tranquila mientras exploras el distrito de Puna de Big Island desde el área de Kalapana: observación de lava, observación de ballenas y delfines durante los meses de invierno, excursiones en barco y mucho más. Hogar energéticamente eficiente. A poca distancia de la música de los miércoles por la noche del tío Robert y el mercado de agricultores de Maku`u los domingos por la mañana. Visite el pintoresco pueblo de Pahoa para ver tiendas y restaurantes. Dentro de 5 minutos en coche hacia el sur por el camino rojo se encuentra Kalapana, donde el camino termina en los campos de lava. Allí encontrará el Kalapana Café y el Kava Bar del tío Robert, así como caminatas guiadas de lava y un sendero a través de los campos de lava hasta la nueva playa.

NO FUMAR en las instalaciones es una política estricta: está bien caminar un poco hasta el parque cercano para fumar.

A great place to stay!

The cottage was perfect for my husband and I and a great spot for exploring the Hilo side of the The bed was the most comfortable of any bed we've had at a rental. Or host was helpful and her cottage has all of the little details to make a stay enjoyable. Thank you!helpfulisland.

Cottage with Everything

Really enjoyed my four nights here. Everything was perfect! Immaculate to say the least. Quiet and private. Stars out every morning, brilliant! Wasn’t expecting the weather, but it was stunning! Can’t wait to return! Washer and dryer very handy.

A fabulous oasis

Mary love has created a fabulous oasis from which to explore the Puna district. The attention to detail was fantastic; everything we thought of needing was thoughtfully provided by our host. We would highly recommend staying here!

Best kept secret in Hawaii

First and foremost we LOVED our host. She had thought of EVERYTHING you could need while you are staying at her property. I hesitate to review, because I’m afraid she’ll get so popular that we won’t be able to book again. This gem is quiet, clean, private- it’s an oasis. I hope that we get to return soon!

Awesome Stay in Tropical Paradise

We had an amazing time staying at Marylove's cottage. It was so peaceful relaxing in the hammock in the evening and you could see so many stars since its a bit far out of town. Everything we could have needed was provided including snorkel equipment and beach chairs. We will be back!!

Peaceful and spacious

Location is great for getting away with a short walk to the ocean for sunrise/sunset views. There is a drive into town for grocery/gas etc. but a beautiful area to visit.

Beautiful Little Cottage

We stayed for 1 week on our honeymoon. The host provided everything we could possibly need to make our stay perfect. Geckos were so entertaining to watch running all over and coquis lulled us to sleep at night. One thing to note: be sure to grab some bug spray, the skeeters are vicious out on the lanai! Overall quite happy with the experience!

Wonderful stay, perfect host

We stayed for three weeks and we starting to feel right at home. The ohana is private and well equipped for a long stay (we cooked every day), and the back porch is so tranquil and beautiful. Marylove is an amazing host, she really makes an effort for her guests and is very responsive. We can't wait to come back!

Fantastic vacation in Paradise!

We had such a wonderful time on our visit! The place was easy to find, very clean, private and beautiful. Mary was wonderful to work with and we had a great chat on the porch one evening. The AC kept the rooms cool, the fridge was cold and the bed was comfortable. We will definitely be staying here again! You can’t go wrong here!

A great cottage that was perfect for our stay.

We would recommend this cottage for anyone who is interested in seeing the volcano and this area of Hawaii. Marylove is a wonderful host and very accommodating. She will do all she can to make your stay pleasant. Thank you Mary for helping us out.

Relax & renew & in a beautiful and eco-friendly environment.

Perfect location for what we wanted to do, bike ride to exercise and view scenery and wildlife, visit the beach, eat some excellent sea food. Mary, was gracious, considerate and prompt to respond to requests and questions. Most of all, Mary was very welcoming. We will return and stay longer

A Lovely Place

We enjoyed our stay very much. The cottage was so nice and the host added so many thoughtful extras. It was a cool experience to be off-grid. The gazebo was so nice to relax in at the end of the day and it’s always great to have access to a washer & dryer. We thoroughly enjoyed the coquis singing at night. I think the biggest advantage of the location is that we probably wouldn’t have driven the Red Road had we stayed elsewhere, and it was lined with amazing scenery!

Cute cottage stay

We loved this private cottage stay. It had all the amenities of a house and was perfect for what we needed. We were gone from sunrise to sunset just traveling around the island. This was a good location to see the East part of the island. About 1 hour from Volcano National Park and the nearest town was in Pāhoa about 25 minutes away. Everything else is quite a drive but it’s all beautiful.

Incredible, peaceful hideaway

I cannot gush enough about how amazing this place is. Located in a gorgeous part of the Puna district, it is tucked away so you feel like you're in your own private little world. Marylove has thought of literally everything you'll need during your stay. The place itself is amazingly beautiful with a magical backyard where you can relax in a hammock under an awning. It's only a short drive into Pahoa or a little further drive from Hilo. I would definitely recommend this place and would love to come back in the future!

Comfortable- convenient location

Mary’s apartment was clean, comfortable and well-equipped. A/C worked well. The neighbourhood was quiet and felt secure. The location in Puna in the southeast was convenient for visiting Volcanoes National Park, and there were some interesting local attractions, including Kahena Black Sand beach. Mary made herself available for travel advice etc. I wouldn’t hesitate to return.

An oasis in paradise

Even better than advertised, Marlove has created a wonderful space in a beautiful setting. We had to make a special effort to leave and explore the rest of the island. Has all the amenities of home and we enjoyed cooking in the full kitchen. There is no cell phone reception which maybe a concern to some. The wi-fi however is pretty robust. Marylove is very responsive to any requests or concerns. Definitely a 5 star property.

Semi-retired, Marylove is a vital, fun loving, respectful Tutu (grandma) who loves her life in Hawaii and her ohana (family). Marylove is an RN as well as an interpreter for American Sign Language, working throughout all the Hawaiian islands. She loves pickleball and knows all the local venues to play!

Life is sweet here in the Kalapana area of Big Island, which is a place of amazing serenity and beauty. I am so happy to share a slice of it while you visit!
