Kehena Treetop Bungalow es un paraíso tropical, ubicado entre exuberante follaje verde y árboles frutales. Esta casa ha sido completamente remodelada de arriba a abajo, y es nueva por dentro y por fuera. Disfrutará de los hermosos pisos de madera noble y de la decoración tropical.

Esta casa es la escapada perfecta del ajetreo y el bullicio de las áreas de vacaciones tradicionales, así que olvídate de tener que combatir el tráfico y la congestión con otros visitantes. Cuando no estés disfrutando de la belleza y las experiencias de la Isla Grande, disfrutarás quedándote en casa y descansando en el lanai en la hamaca, o simplemente sentándote en la mesa leyendo un buen libro.

Perfecto para una pareja o familia, ahora hay 2 habitaciones para acomodar fácilmente las dos camas tamaño queen, armario, escritorio y vestidor, ¡con mucho espacio de sobra! Y los futones en la sala de estar pueden proporcionar espacio adicional para dormir para los niños, si es necesario. Wifi gratuito de banda ancha, canales satelitales básicos y una selección de libros y DVD (para adultos y niños) disponibles para su entretenimiento. Lo mejor de todo, ¡LOS NIÑOS ESTAN GRATIS!

Una cocina completa está bien equipada con todas sus necesidades de cocina y comedor, incluyendo una licuadora, microondas y olla arrocera. Con una mesa de comedor para 4 personas, mesa de estilo pub adicional en la cocina y barra de desayuno, hay un amplio espacio para comer cómodamente. Y mientras esta casa, como la mayoría de la isla, está en un sistema de captación de agua, la casa cuenta con un sistema de filtración de agua y purificación UV de primera l��nea, para que pueda beber del grifo de forma segura, lavar su fruta y Verduras, o cepille sus dientes sin preocuparse.

Finalmente, para aquellos con niños pequeños, la casa está equipada con un juego de pack n, bañera infantil, colchoneta de juegos infantiles, silla alta y una tonelada de juguetes y libros. ¡Haz que viajar con niños sea fácil!

Lovely Place

I enjoyed my stay at the the Treetop Bungalow. Very close to beach and warm pond which I enjoyed very much. Kitchen was well stocked.

Family Getaway

We brought our kids on a Hawaiian vacation, and we LOVED our stay! It was fully stocked, clean, and a great location. We enjoyed the neighborhood kitty, and the relaxing environment of the home. Would highly recommend to any travelers!

An original small condo in the middle of the nature.

Very authentic little house in the middle of the nature. Well maintained even that it is a bit older. The fresh air is amazing, no air conditioning needed. However the location is a bit too far in the nature (long distance, moskitos, geckos) for us, also the bed size could be bigger. We enjoyed the experience here.

This place is amazing. The sound of the frogs and the road can be worrying at first but we found that closing the windows on the road side of the house solved this problem. We were worried it would be too warm at night but were very comfortable like this.

We purposely chose it to be further away from the Hilo busy area but it’s still close enough to Pahoa if you have a car so you can pick up groceries etc. Close to a small black sand beach. Also good for visit the nearby beaches/shops of Hilo if you have a car. And don’t forget the Volcano National Park. We were lucky to be there when the volcano was active and got to view the eruptions - amazing!

Tropical paradise w/ lots to do,even post eruption

We spent a wonderful stay at Kehena Treetop Bungalow in the Puna region of Big Island. Despite the recent lava eruption that happened last summer, there are still lots of activities to do over there, including walking on a trail made of fresh lava rock, which leads to a brand new beach! There are also some nice tide pools just 10 minutes away from the house, which was a good place for the kids to get wet, and the Kehena black sand beach for the more adventurous. The whole stay was a very informative experience for my kids who now have a good understanding of how volcanoes have shaped the islands of Hawaii. The house is clean and well equipped with everything you need for cooking, and there are even some toys for kids of all ages, plus a swing and big hammock that my kids enjoyed. Nearby the town of Pahoa offers good grocery shopping with organic & local produce, and you'll find some good restaurant/bar options (from comfort food to vegan!) at the end of the road. We're looking forward to visiting again! Alice & family

Absolutely Lovely!

Our family usually likes to stay in out of the norm places, where there isn't a lot of traffic, people, tourists, etc. This was perfect! It is quite the drive from most of the "sights" on the island, but that's part of the fun in exploring new places. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had all the appliances necessary, and we enjoyed spending time in this bungalow after dark, where the insects, birds, toads, and more could be heard. We all slept so well to those sounds. My son's favorite part was reading in the hammock. My daughter's was finding all the geckos and naming them all. It was lovely to have access to laundry room, beach toys, a cooler, and an outdoor shower. When our plane arrived, we got a text from our host, Jolanta, who welcomed us and let us know if we had questions, shed be able to help. We didnt need to reach out, as everything was communicated so well ahead of time. It's a perfect stay on the Island and we will definitely be back! Mahalo!

Loved Staying Here!

The Kehena Treehouse was the perfect place to stay for our family from Maui. Great location, super clean and comfortable, and a very restful and relaxing place. The hammock on the deck was great, and the home being stocked with a stash of toys and kid friendly DVDs was a REALLY REALLY NICE touch to occupy our 5 year old and give us time to relax. It was a short walk to the black sand beach (be careful of the ocean shore break and currents there), and the perfect distance from everything, Kalapana which had great music at night, Kapoho tide pools (and the big warm pool on the ocean, we loved that!), Pahoa for restaurant choices and a great health food store, and of course, Volcano National Park and Hilo as well. The management staff was very nice and there is a book full of information on things to do and see in the home. We enjoyed the outdoor shower, and the farmers market at Space Camp on Saturday morning (great activities for kids, check their website). It was a very nice place to spend our time on the east side of Hawaii, we would definitely stay there again. I was worried about noise from the nearby road, but it was not an issue at all. We loved the treehouse, and were sad to leave!

Endroit exceptionnel!

Maison au cœur de la végétation hawaïenne! Ce fut un réel coup de cœur! Très propre et bien équipée. Une famille y loge aisément et confortablement. La plage de Kehena (sable noir) est à quelques minutes à pied; toutefois il faut savoir que les commodités et les endroits à visiter sont à 20 minutes et plus de route en voiture.

It's a bit of a drive from town but thoroughly enjoyed being far from tourist traps and resorts. The local wildlife song of frogs and birds lulled us to sleep every night. Very timely response from the property manager as well when we couldn't figure out the hot water. Would def stay again!

We were a little disappointed that it was right on a fairly busy road on one side and very close to the neighbor on the other. The black sand beach right up the way and that was wonderful, otherwise not too much in the area as places to eat. Bring your own to fix. We had to shorten our trip as the rains were coming down in torrents. Sorry that was the case. Loved the outside shower

WOW!! Exactly what we were looking for!

This place was amazing!!! All the essential items needed to make it a real home away from home! Yes, the lanai does face the neighbors house, but the entire property is the real gem. Plus the neighbors are quiet and very nice so that was cool too. This place has the true country sounds and feel and smells at night and is a tropical paradise in the day, rain or shine. Be sure to grab extra fruit for the Gold Dust geckos that you'll find all over outside and even inside where they keep you safe by eating anything that dares to enter the house. Absolute must stay if you want that true rainforest/lava rock fields/right next to ocean/etc experience. I could blab for days about how awesome this place is but you'll just have to see it for yourself!

Unique garden-like property near beach

The treetop bungalow is really cute. Super homey with absolutely everything you need to feel comfortable. Really enjoyed our time there. The only thing that wasn't 100% was not having a tel number for the property manager until after we checked in -- everything was by msgs via VRBO and if there was something urgent...felt a little disconnected. Second thing was distance from Hilo. It worked for us, but when traffic was bad, it turned into a bit of a slog. That said, we would stay there again and highly recommend.
