Villa|Civitella in Val di Chiana Review

We rented the villa for a week in October and had the most amazing experience. Arriving it was clear why we had chosen the villa 9 months before as it was as beautiful and well situated on the hillside as we had originally seen online. We were greeted by Daniel, whoo manages the property extremely well, and explained all the details we needed to smoothly check in. Along the way he had also been very helpful and responsive as we prepared for our visit. Our plans, besides enjoying the villa, were to explore the many medieval villages within a reasonable drive from the house, and this was all very achievable along w/ having some great dining opportunities. We had the chefs to the house for two dinners and that is highly recommended. In addition, a short 10 minute drive away brings you to Civitella, a lovely small town w/ several excellent restaurants. This villa was an excellent choice for our group of eight and we truly appreciate all that was done to make our stay so memorable!

A true Retreat

As we drove up to this property our family of 7 were in awe. Once the gate opened we were taken away by the beautiful property and the views. Our family wanted a week in Tuscany to truly experience Italy country side and this place was the answer. The house is beautifully decorated, I felt each place I looked was a treasure to look at. We were able to cook and stay in and also reach some popular sites with in an hour or less. Hope we can come again in the future. Nothing!

HEAVEN ON EARTH

Perfect location if you wish to stay in a real privacy with your familyfriends, but very close to beautiful Tuscan towns if you wish to travel a bit, absolutely outstanding property in a great shape, authentic villas, but fully equipped, beautiful garden you could ever imagine, great swimming pool and very good service. And on top of this - the nicest and friendliest hosts. Believe menot - impossible to find anything better in Tuscany to spend such a kind of calm and authentic vacations with such a big family. We LOVE the place and wish to come back again......soon!!!! Just very small thing - to be more informed about the rules of the house in advance, especially the garbage and gardeners ´ activities to avoid any inconvenience (in terms of language barrier as well, but we always got to the result :-)), so nothing really serious, just recommendation from our side to make stay of any future guests as pleasant as possible.

Tolles Haus in wunderschöner Lage

Holiday

The house was really cozy, with all its little details we felt right at home. The bed linens were great, and everything we needed was there. The view was amazing, and we enjoyed our morning coffee and dinner outside looking over The Valley. Thanks to the gardener, the pool was always clean and the garden impeccable! In all this House exceeded our expectations, and we will hopefully come back soon!

Heaven on earth

This is a stunning property with a stunning view that photos simply cannot do justice to. My only reservation was the very poor directions to find it and some difficulty getting a hot water issue sorted out . The garden is stunningly beautiful and lavender bushes a hive of activity for bees and gorgeous butterflies that did not desturb us in any way even when standing in their midst observing them closely. We took our children and grandchildren and had a great time. The views are to die for the shaded seating under the tree divine a very cool spot even when temperatures are in excess of 35c. The dining terraces outside stunning. The property is difficult to find especially when you are given the wrong number, but well worth enduring that aggravation. The gardner who visited the property almost daily I found very kind and helpful when let down by management. This property is exceptional and it’s location exceptionally beautiful.

Heaven on earth but our agents needed to improve drastically their act.

The views tranquility and Tuscan elegance of this house and it’s spectacular garden location and dining areas. Great pool great umbrella shaped tree with seating overlooking stunning very distant views, so very cool on the hottest of days. The gardner was a delight and very helpful immediately helping with an insect manifestation. He speaks no English we speak no Italian but communicating with him was charming and always effective. Do make more use of him. The directions given to us by our agent for the property was 47 not 51. the number of the property is 51 not 47. 47 belongs to a neighbour who gave us 2 /3 choices as to where it could be, all were wrong.

Dear Leslie, I'm so sorry about the time you wasted to find our Property! It was a combination of things: for some reason I never got your calls unless the last one. It is the first time it happens to waste so long time to find the Villa, but naturally also the first time is too much! So we will certainly improve and make clearer the directions in order that won't happen a second time. I'm happy you enjoyed the Villa and the nice Garden. Grazie! Cari saluti. Daniel
