Apartment Lucy

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Apartment Lucy for our first visit to Croatia. It was spotlessly clean, had great air-con and generally everything we needed for our stay. It was a pleasure dealing with the owner Andro - the comms were always excellent and prompt, we had an early check-in and he even gave us a complimentary lift back to the airport. The small town of Cavtat was beautiful with many fabulous restaurants and bars. There were plenty of boat excursions available, such as to the beautiful city of Dubrovnik for around 20Eu each return. There is quite a challenging 20 min walk back up 'cardiac hill' to the apartment from the town but we actually enjoyed walking off the excess food and wine! Highly recommend staying here!!

You won't find many better - Modern Clean Good Value Accomodation

Andro and his mum made us feel most welcome you could not wish for better hosts. Lovely apartment with good facilities highly recommended. Everything very clean, comfy beds, decent shower, great cooking facilities nice balcony etc. Things to note: If you have never been - Cavtat is a picture postcard place and well worth visiting. Virtually all self catering apartment property in Cavtat is up "cardiac hill" but if you have low energy or walking difficulties frequent buses available nearby to go just one stop up or down to the promenade bars and restaurants is convenient . Bus stop is close by and plenty of taxis also frequent Little Train from harbour area to Hotel Epidaurus on the other side of the bay where there are more child friendly beaches and play facilities. We are in our late 60's so it was a bit of a struggle at times but walking slowly we made it back every night. Supermarket Pemo five minutes walk - fresh bread etc. Local Pizza restaurant and bar - five minutes walk. Generally though restaurants except for pasta and pizzas etc quite expensive - one course say fish dinner plus bottle of wine small beer and small water expect to pay @ £60.00 minimum. Two beds and an umbrella - £10.00 a day minimum. Cavat car park (the only one) - 10 knr per hour. My advice - Don't take your car for Dubrovnik visit - parking is a nightmare either get water taxi both return @ £15.00 120 knr return or bus one way 25 knr @ £3.00 the single return by boat you can barter down to 50 knr @ £6.00. Car journey to Kotor @ 2 hours going (alllow up to 45 minutes to get thorough two border controls) - easier coming back.. Well worth a visit - don't forget your passport and Euros and tell car hire people you will be crossing border for insurance purposes, Go on Money Saving Expert to arrange own excess insurance - much cheaper. Cavtat coastal path @ 20 minutes slow walk is beautiful and is a must for all sunset watchers.

Lovely apartment in a relaxed location

Firstly, high praise has to be given to the owner Andro whose communications were fantastic from when we were enquiring about the booking, reserving it and during the stay. Andro picked us up from the airport and also arranged for us to be taken back. The apartment is lovely and clean with modern furniture throughout. Thank god for the air con as well! The main highlight is the terrace off of the bedroom where we had two sun loungers and a table and two chairs. The sun was facing the balcony from 10am until it disappeared behind the headland after 7pm. There was also an awning to wind out to get some shade. There is a nice view of the ocean which would be better if Andro would just cut the top off of the tree in front of the remainder of the balcony. The location is great with a close by supermarket and the beautiful town of Cavtat only a 10 minute walk away. As others will attest, it keeps you fit walking back up the steep hill after a heavy dinner and a few drinks! Cavtat and Croatia itself are breathtaking and we will definitely return. Thank you Andro and thanks to your mum for the doughnuts upon our arrival!

Good location and comfortable

This is a good location in Cavtat with a limited view of the water. The furnishings are basic with adequate space. The owner, Andro, went out of his way to meet our late arrival and to provide most useful information during our stay.

We loved it here

Caveat is just lovely and only a short bus ride or boat trip to Dubrovnik. There is so much of interest. We found walking paths and walked many miles! History, beauty, relaxation, great food- Cavtat has it all. Apartment Lucy is fantastic- clean, bright and with everything you need. It is at the top of a steep hill which helped keep us fit.

Villa Lucy resides in a quiet part of "Cavtat"

We recently stayed in the top floor of the villa which has a double and single bed. The villa has a kitchen with sofa and tv, this room runs into the sleeping area which is a lovely light room. The terrace from the bedroom has a lovely sea view and is sunny all day. Villa Lucy is in a quiet part of Cavtat, the walk into the main resort is all down hill and takes around 15minutes. The hill walking back is pretty steep but good for getting rid of any extra calories. We hired a car for a week which you can drive down to the main resort if you wish. There is a car park which you have to pay for. We would really recommend staying at the Villa Lucy, Andro and his mum are lovely people and cannot do enough for you. Although we picked our hire car up from the airport Andro drove us down to the town to grab some lunch then he brought us back to the villa. Cavtat is a charming seaside resort with many eating places situated on the front. If you want to travel to Dubrovnik boasts are frequently running every 30minutes If we decide to visit Croatia in the future we will definitely stay at the Villa Lucy again in Cavtat Patrick & April from Beverley in East Yorkshire

Wonderful apartment

The apartment is wonderful, very clean ,lovely view of the sea from the balcony, we were picked up and dropped off at the airport by Andro which is a brilliant service. We arrived fairly late but had been provided with cold meats cheese bread and wine by Andro's mum Lucy which was delightful, Andro provided a BBQ for us and we cooked up a feast. They were so kind and helpful and Cavtat is such a beautiful place to visit,,two picturesque harbours , Pass the time having a drink and watch the big yatchs come and go .We took the ferry over to Dubrovnic which you mustn't miss its a very interesting and great place and the Cable car is a must. All in all we had a wonderful holiday .

Fantastic

Where do I begin, the views from Lucy apartment are absolutely outstanding, you are looking right out to sea. The balcony is very big with a table four chairs and a sun lounger. The apartment is very clean and the decor is lovely. If Cavtat was not so beautiful I would not have left the apartment at night as sitting on the balcony looking out to sea with a glass of wine was just addictive. Andro picked us up and dropped us back to the airport. When arriving to the apartment Andro's mom had made us doughnuts and left beer and wine in the fridge (what a lovely touch). Andro and his mom are just lovely people. I could go on and on about this lovely apartment. I will definitely return and definitely stay here. Cavtat is beautiful too I would say it's the prettiest place I've ever been to. Watching the super yachts arriving to the marina while enjoying a meal is spectacular. Thank you Andro and family for a lovely weeks holiday will definitely be in touch to rebook.

Superb views and great apartment

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The apartment is well equipped, clean and beautifully furnished. It is a brand new apartment and is in a great location with easy access to the airport and Cavtat town. it is also possible to travel to Dubrovnik on the bus leaving the car at home and to enjoy the views of the coastline. Andro and his mother Lucy are so helpful and give you a lovely warm welcome and are keen to ensure you have a pleasant and comfortable stay. They are always around to help with any questions. We would not hesitate in staying here again.

A perfect stay

A very warm welcome, a brand new apartment, clean and very well located near the beautiful village of Cavtat (we use the car to go to the village because it was rainy but it's possible to reach it by walk with some climb to return). We could see the ocean from our balcony and we have had perfect sleep without any noise. We have used the bus service to reach Dubrovnik without any problem; it's very easy. We have also parked our car one day at Dubrovnik at not so heavy price if you don't mind to walk a short ride. Andro was very nice (his mother Lucy too) and gave us all the useful information. He was easy reaching and he gave us a very good hand to solve a problem with a suitcase lost by the airline. So a perfect stay at a beautiful apartment own by a very nice person speaking an excellent English. Thank you Andro!
