Great stay

Probably the best and cleanest condo ever! Only drawback was the pressure washing and painting of the balconies....weren’t able to enjoy as much as we like ....but we do understand making it better for the year !

18th floor

Everything was good. Like being in the unit as we got on and off elevator. Next time would like to be on 1st or 3rd floor.

Not to bad compared to the reviews we read online. Definitely not a comfortable 4 person stay.

Renting was easy. We are a family of 4, 2 of them being middle schoolers. I would have preferred a room with bunks vs a pullout coach. Bathroom was amazing as the condos we have stayed in in the past had tiny bathrooms. This is more bathroom than room. Great for a couple I would say

Not great

The Calypso resort is great. This condo is not... we stayed the first night at The Hampton Inn down the street. It was honestly much nicer & more worth the price. It seems there should be some standard. The furniture is cheap & unattractive. The dryer was terrible. The patio furniture was like dollar store quality. I’ve never written a bad review, but I would only book this unit in a pinch! It was clean to end on a positive note. :)

Needs a deep clean

We love the Calypso, this is our 1st time booking with Panhandle Resorts. The unit was as expected, master bed is comfortable, master tv needs to be updated. Bathroom shower door frame had mold build up, and was dirty upon arrival. Wall decor had a layer of dust as did light fixtures. We have rented several years from different VRBO at Calypso and have never experienced this lack of attention to detail. Overall we will continue to stay at Calypso but, not sure we will choose a Panhandle unit.

Nice but...

Overall the condo was perfect for our family of 4. We had all the space we needed for my husband and I, a 14 yr old and a 5 year old. The kids didn't mind sharing the pull out but I was glad we brought along our blow up mattress. The mattress on the pull out was very uncomfortable. There was a blow up mattress there on top of the dryer, don't know if it worked because we used our own. The floors are dirty. If you go barefooted your feet will be black and sandy. But honestly that has been a problem in nearly ever condo we have ever stayed in. The floors just don't get cleaned like they should after each stay. There was no broom in the condo to sweep up the sand. Just a vacuum that had seen better days. The kitchen was in much need of more items. It only had 2 pots, a small one and a large one. 2 pans that looked pretty rough. No mixing bowls. It had 2 round Pyrex glass bowls. One 8x8 glass baking dish and 2 rectangle baking pans. Not one pot holder. No salt and pepper. If you planned on doing a lot of cooking you might want to pack some extra dishes or go buy some. Spoon and forks, plates, bowls and glasses were fine. The dryer took a little longer to get a load dry. It didn't get very hot. Overall the condo met our needs and we were happy with the location. It is very crowded. So if you are looking for somewhere quite, this might not be the place for you.

Just "OK"

Let me 1st say we LOVE Calypso, just not this unit. It was "Just Ok" and not worth what we spent. We stay at the Calypso every year in a 3 bedroom, but try to rent from only direct owners. We needed something smaller this year and this was our only choice. You can tell this was owned by an agency. Very basic and the furniture was terrible. At first it seemed clean, until you took your shoes off...there was so much dirt and sand on the floor, we didn't take our shoes off while in the condo. The living room furniture was very worn down & stained up...we placed sheets over everything. The remotes were all sticky, we placed them in plastic baggies. Bed was very uncomfortable and only had 2 very small pillows, we went out and purchased new pillows for the bed. I called twice on our 1st day to fix the wi-fi, was transferred to 2 people and was told maintenance would call me back. Never received a call back. I didn't call back to complain about the other stuff that we slowly figured out, as based on this example nothing would be done. I just hope this feedback will be taken seriously and Panhandle Getaways will give this unit the TLC it deserves.

Our Anniversary Getaway

Meh

While the condo was clean and had a wonderful view, we were unhappy with the lack of amenities at the Calypso Resort! The tiki bar wasn't open in the evenings and they ran out of ingredients every day. The condo itself wasn't well stocked. The garbage disposal was broken and the blender leaked. The highlights were the gulf front master and the large bath tub.

End of Summer Mini Vacation

My husband and I just got back from PCB. We've been a few times, but this was our first time staying at the Calypso. We loved it!! We will definitely stay there again and book with Panhandle. The condo was perfect for us. It was clean, perfect view of the beach, easy check in and check out, and all the amenities we needed were provided. It was also within walking distance to Pier Park, so we didn't have to get in our car much at all. Highly recommend!
