La Jolla House with a Pool, yard and views.

Enjoy our 4 bedroom, 3 bath home in lovely La Jolla. We are on Soladad Mountain facing south. Views are spectacular and the ocean is just a little more than a mile away. We have fireworks every night thanks to Sea World. The pool is private and sides to a large back yard filled with fruit trees. Enjoy the outdoors with a built in Barbeque and bar. Also enjoy an outside TV and stereo speakers. The home has a view from the living room of the ocean, city and bay. The front of the house is all windows leading out onto the deck. Two master suites, one with a King size bed and the other with a queen. The other 2 bedrooms have queen beds. Both open up to the pool backyard area. The open floor plan is great for entertaining from the kitchen, living room and family room. All of the towels and linens are high quality. There are flat screen TV's in all the bedrooms, living room, Family room and outside patio ( 7 total).The home is over 3,000 S.F.

Greg and Leigh are fantastic hosts! My family of 7 enjoyed the pool/spa, the views, location and the comfortable space. We were there for a softball tournament so having a large washer and dryer was great. WiFi worked well. We will absolutely stay here again.

Beautiful location in LaJolla

Our stay was so outstanding. We had a week filled with beautiful surroundings and magical moments.The home included everything from making a gourmet meal to an outdoor barbecue. We spent many hours in the pool and jacuzzi. Best pool we have ever been in. I can’t thank the hosts enough for making our stay so memorable. The home was beautifully decorated..Thank you so much.. A - 5 - STAR destination….

Fun and Fireworks

Four bedrooms and three baths were perfect for our multigenerational group. Greg had the crib and highchair we needed for our youngest traveler. More than a vacation house, it was like staying in the home of friends, but the friends weren't there! Although we didn't cook or grill, the kitchen was well supplied with any spice you needed. The yard toys, trampoline and pool were great for the kids after a day at the beach or zoo, and we enjoyed the nightly fireworks from the balcony, Thanks for a great stay!

Great place to stay

The home was spacious and roomy and had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable, the heated pool and hot tub were a big hit with our family. We enjoyed being at the house almost as much as the beach. We were very appreciative of the pool fence for safety for our 4 year Grandson

La Jolla House

Our family had a wonderful time at the house. The children especially loved the pool and the trampoline before or after touring. Adults could relax with safety of the pool gate in place. Responsive and welcoming hosts, comfortable house with ample space for our 3 generational family of 8, great beds in every room providing restful sleep, a well stocked kitchen—who could ask for anything more? Thank you for a great vacation stay!!

Great location, well appointed

We enjoyed our stay here with 3 adult couples and 4 children (ages 3-9). The trampoline and pool were amazing for the kids and the kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed. The only issue we had was with the hot tub, which we could not get to work effectively without overheating the pool. The owners were very responsive and in communication with us constantly; we just could never figure it out. Overall it was a great stay and the owners were terrific.

Extraordinary experience

We came for my son’s wedding and the house was so well appointed.. a great house to unwind and relax after busy wedding days. The pool and jacuzzi were amazing and watching the Sea World fireworks from the balcony was an unexpected bonus. Kudos to Leigh and Greg!

Great house for wedding week

We really enjoyed the house which we rented with friends for our sons wedding week. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed down to ironing boards and pool floats. Back yard was a great hang out space with pool and jacuzzi. We enjoyed the nightly fireworks from front balcony -you can see from sea world. Host was very accessible by phone/text for any questions we had. Excellent experience!

Stunning Views

Greg and Leigh are wonderful hosts! We had a fabulous time at their place. Very spacious and every room had amazing views. From fire works at night to the view of hot tub, pool, Mission Beach and ocean. While there, only 5 miles away, the guys and my niece, went fishing on a chartered trip and limited out! Our trip was for a family wedding, plenty of room for 7 adults and 1 child. My great nephew was the only child with us, age 3. He had so much fun enjoying the plentiful toys, books, and heated pool. He cried when we had to leave. Hope to book for future stays!❤️❤️❤️

Home away from Home

My 3 generation family traveled to the SD area last week and stayed at Greg and Leigh’s perfect place! They were absolutely AMAZING to work with! They provided immediate responses and were extremely flexible! Their home is equipped with everything! They greeted us with such warmth and their home reflected that feeling too! The weather was amazing and most times the air going through the house was all we needed! We loved all the space inside and totally took advantage of the resort in the backyard! The pool and hot tub were perfect and our grandkids many times requested leaving the beach to swim in the pool! The kitchen is full stocked with paper goods and spices galore! The fireworks on the front patio every night from SeaWorld is a definite plus! They have a huge washer and dryer! The house is centrally located to all the tourist locations! Thanks again to Greg and Leigh for sharing their Home! We loved it and can’t wait to come back! The Donham’s

Quiet neighborhood with beautiful beaches

This was our first time traveling to La Jolla. We loved the wonderful beaches in the area and the home is located in a quiet neighborhood. We were blessed with beautiful coastal weather during our stay. The cooler weather was exactly what we were looking for to escape the triple digit heat where we live. It was nice to come back after a day at the beach and go swimming in the pool, relax in the spa, and enjoy dinner on the large back patio. We chose Leigh and Greg's home because of the pool & spa just incase the beaches were closed because of county shelter in place orders. Due to the current Covid 19 pandemic, we would have preferred a no contact check in. Leigh, the home owner, provided a tour of her home but due to current safety measures we would have preferred a binder with this information rather than personal contact. A thorough deep cleaning is recommended to improve the cleanliness and of the home.

Nice place, but some unfortunate experiences

Beautiful views and nice spaces. Given the pandemic, the main reasons we rented this house was a) to have a pool to swim in, + b) to have a safe pandemic staycation. Unfortunately, a number of things worked against us: The pool equipment is super-outdated such that the first 3 days the pool was way overheated (to 96 degrees). Then on 2 other days there was a dead bird in the pool in the morning. i.e. On 5 out of 8 of our days, the pool was practically unusable. Also, given the pandemic, I asked that we have a contact-less check-in. The owners (in their enthusiastic hospitality) did not honor my request and stuck around for 1+ hour giving us a "tour" and trying to explain all the house equipment (only sometimes wearing their masks). I recommend that they prepare a house booklet for reference so that future guests do not have to in-person interact. The property is definitely a "HOME" which means a) that it feels comfy, and b) that it feels like someone else's home (not a vacation-spot). Nonetheless, the owners were very kind and tried their best to make our stay comfortable. THANK YOU!!!

Great Location but it Ends There

We were put on notice when we first arrived that we WERE NOT to use the large bathtub in the master because it "took too much water to fill". Since my spouse loves her daily baths... she was not pleased. That was just the tipoff. The master shower with dual heads... they were both clogged, so I had to use a small, one-piece shower in a guest room. The two sinks it the master bath were both clogged and flowed poorly. The kitchen stove was a relic and impossible to properly control temperatures. The pool leaked and we had the daily task of filling it... but NOT too full. The weather was damp and cold and when we heated the pool so our grandkids could use it... the owners complained about gas usage. Really... for over $10,000 we shouldn't have to worry about gas, or water usage (though we don't approve of being wasteful). We believe we paid a substantial cleaning fee, and we can say with all certainty that this home was NOT PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED! In summary...; a very nice idea in a great location, but it all went downhill from there.

Fabulous Stay!

Our party of 6 (2 kids, 2 parents, 2 grandparents) could not have been more comfortable during our week at Greg and Leigh's home. We really enjoyed the layout, and the large living spaces provided plenty of room for everyone. It was so nice to have a fully stocked kitchen, which included many basic food items like spices and condiments (and more) as those types of items are such an inconvenience to have to buy for a short stay. The view from the front deck was truly amazing. However, we spent most of our time at the house in the back yard because of the pool and the outdoor living space. The kids couldn't wait to get into the pool each morning and night, even after a full day at the beach. They LOVED it. The neighborhood was extremely safe and quiet. We didn't hear people, dogs, or cars! Greg and Leigh were wonderful to work with, and immediately fixed an issue with the freezer, even though we told them we didn't need it to have it done during our stay. We couldn't have asked for anything more in a vacation home, and would stay again in a heartbeat! Thank you, Greg and Leigh. We hope to see you again.

Perfect for us

Greg and Leigh were so very welcoming and interested in our comfort while at their home. The property is spacious and comfortable, the views lovely, near stores and restaurants but still private, our family truly enjoyed the pool and hot tub, and it all contributed to a wonderful reunion with our family. So glad we discovered this listing on VRBO!

Gorgeous Comfortable Javen

First rate home-stay at this beautiful, spacious luxury home; gorgeous pool, hot tub and fully outfitted indoors and out. Ultimate comfort for 4 couples; beautiful neighborhood a short drive from beaches and restaurants. Kitchen had everything and outdoor cooking space was terrific too.
