Great Employee Housing

I had 5X Summer temp employees (BS Forestry May 2024) for 3 weeks of work, then the rest of the time 1-2 foresters to finish up the work. Just a great Contractor rental for short term rentals with 5 beds (long term?). We'll be back in the future as soon as we get the next contract. Thanks for a great experience for the 5 young men from NY/PA who were visiting the South for the 1st time, they loved it.

Bass Tournament

This was a great place !! They told us that the water smelled due to the iron in it but had plenty of drinking water in the fridge as well as gallons of water to cook with. Kim went out of her way to check on us . The Deer Creek lodge was convenient to several boat ramps and was very easy to find. We had a great time !!

Perfect get away

The property was very clean and decorated wonderfully. We built campfires, fished, and enjoyed the beautiful scenery.....river is in view. Thank you we had a great time!

Quick Getaway

This place was beautiful. It was quarter mile across the street from Lake Ouachita. It was 30 to 40 minutes from Caddo River and Little Missouri Falls. We had a great 3 day vacay. Shower/water alittle rough. Sulphur smell. But still a fabulous place for quick family getaway.

Cozy cabin

Walked in and smelled amazing. The pictures could use updating. The cabin has been updated and the picture online don’t show it. Much nicer in person. Everything was super clean. Had towels, rags, shampoo and soap! It is a little nosey being next to hwy. no service, kinda wish it had WiFi, but wasn’t so worried about that since we was at the lake most of the time. I would definitely stay here again.

Great Get-Away

We were delighted to arrive to a warmly lit cabin - very inviting! The rooms were clean and appropriately decorated. There was seating for all 8 of us either at a table or in recliner chairs. Our pets were welcome which made us feel at home. When we needed to contact the owner, she responded quickly with an answer to our question. We were looking to get away and off the grid. This property allowed for that. When we needed to access WiFi, Kim helped us to do that. While the weather kept us from outdoor activity for most of our stay, we were able to get in to Hot Springs National Park for some sight-seeing. It was fun! Great place - we’ll be back.

Great spot near the river

We enjoyed our stay. Far enough out to stay quiet, close enough to get to lake quickly. Sounds from Highway we’re louder than I expected, but with the fan on we could tune it out.

Perfect location to access area attractions.

Great place to stay. Fishing area is within view from the front porch. Close proximity to lots of crystal mines, the Ouachita river, Ouachita lake, Hot Springs, Mount Ida, and so much more! Cabin is roomy with lots of seating and has everything you need for an enjoyable stay.

Big cabin with everything u need!!

Loved this place. Amazing amount of room for the money. Had a blast here with lots of sleeping area for 3 times the amount of people we brought. Thank you so much Kim. You have a beautiful place and can not wait to return. The movie channals were a giant plus when it rained a little. We had something to watch and unwind from our days on the lake. See you soon!

Great Family Getaway!!

My family had an amazing weekend staying at the Deer Creek Lodge. It was chilly outside when we arrived Kim had made sure to turn on the heater to take the chill out of the cabin. Great location for hikers we hiked the oauchita trail and dug for crystals even got a little fishing in thanks for the rods and reels to borrow. We will definitely be back!! Thanks for a great weekend!!!

Plenty of room for everyone!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Deer Creek Lodge. Besides the bedroom with two bunk beds, and the bathroom, the rest of the lodge is a huge open room with living, dining, and kitchen combined. It has a homey feel to it, and we were very comfortable during our stay. The traffic can get a little loud when you're outside, but by using the box fan at night, we had no problem at all with the noise. The owners were wonderful. The refrigerator went out while we were there, and not only did the owners bring us a small refrigerator to make it through the night, but a new refrigerator was delivered the very next morning! Great place, great owners!

Love it!!

We have a family reunion each year at Lake Ouachita, and have for years. We meet up and eat dinner there, perfect open floor plan to entertain a group. Nice covered area across front porch to seat guest. We will be back😊!

Awesome location.

Even though we are not fishermen, this location is perfect for those who love to fish. Just a fourth mile from the property on highway 27 is an access point to beautiful Lake Ouachita. Also a nice pic nic area with tables and access points. If you came to dig for crystals, Sweet Surrender Crystal Mine is just down the road- among other mining operations in and around Mt. Ida, as well as the nearby Gardner Mountain where you can dig for free! It was nice to be able to go for hikes and adventures and not have to drive too far for the evening. Mount Ida is just about 10 miles down hi 27 where you will find a grocery store, gas stations, dollar general, and a fantastic Mexican restaurant on the town square. One evening we decided to roast hot dogs in the fire pit in the front yard. It was the first time my husband and I actually relaxed by a fire in years. The stars were amazing, without big city lights to diminish them. Although we never formally met the owners, we did speak by phone and I could tell that Kim is a very helpful and kind person. Our son came with us but did not stay at the cabin as he had decided to hike the 38 mile Womble mountain bike/hiking trail which has an access point less than 5 miles away from the cabin. If you love all things Arkansas....especially those wild, red pigs; and have an affection for the outdoors- this is certainly a place you will enjoy. It really is surrounded by beauty and Arkansas charm, as well as history! Thanks!

Perfect Place for us!

The accommodations were extremely nice. Very clean and well stocked. The listing and photos were exact and very helpful. A friend and I stayed a week in August during some hot days but we were very comfortable in the lodge. The gas grill worked great as we used every day. Location of the lodge was close to many boat ramps for access to the lake as our trip was to fish and have fun. We accomplished both! When we come back to Lake Ouachita this is the place for us. Would recommend Deer Creek Lodge to anyone.

Cozy and private

Same price as motels but much much quieter. We did the "digging" vacation but the near by Creek has some amazing fishing. We watched the minnows jump and bass pop the water. Overall, inside is just like a camp should be. Plenty of room to move around and actually sit together. This is a great hidden gem and I recommend it to anyone looking to get away.
