My 2 week stay was great! Everything needed was there, a couple books, lots of towels, beach stuff!! I had a personal issue and contacted the host. She helped right away. The office staff and cleaning staff were helpful as well. Other guests were so friendly too!!Would recommend to everyone. The price reasonable too.

Great spot and old Sarasota style

Happy feeling place with great access to Lido Beach right across the street and to St Armands Circle. Love the older style building. The unit is not updated, but is very comfortable and in a great location in the building. Bed is comfortable and there are plenty of towels and beach accessories. The kitchen allows for food prep and cooking with plenty of equipment.

Lovely location!

Great location across from the parking lot for Lido beach. Only tinest view of water from unit but clean and had everything i needed. Bed was super soft. AC worked great!

Thanksgiving stay

I would like to say that the property exceeded my expectations! The staff was absolutely fantastic and the property is in excellent condition inside and out. It’s proximity to the ocean and beach as well as attractions and entertainment is perfect. We had a nice relaxing stay and can’t wait to visit again! Thank you for the hospitality and quick response to any questions or issues that arise!

Worth the money

Clean and across the street from beach. Only downfall was laundry room. It was $1.50 a load and even lost a couple of quarters (bring some because the office doesnt have any).

Great location! Perfect for a small family or girls trip!

Great well kept property, nice condo. It could use a few updates, but, overall very clean and functional. Very comfortable bed. Only thing I would like to mention is the chain locks need to be replaced. Within walking distance to the beach. Great pool area with gas grills for grilling dinner poolside. If you have anyone in your party with mobility issues, take note that I don't believe there are elevators and this unit is on the 2nd floor. Overall, great value for the location! We will gladly be back!

Location was great! Room needed serious updates. Decor was outdated(80’s), some lights didn’t work, ac in bedroom did not work. It was super hot in there. Needs bathroom fan. There was some beach gear but only one chair that has seen better days.

Great value for this area! Steps to the beach, minutes walk to all the features of St. Armands Cir. The condo has some age on the appliances and wear on the doors, but everything is functional. The place has been around longer than I have been alive, and for seaside i think it has been maintained well. I would like to see the security of the doors upgraded to deadbolts, and The rug in the bedroom has reached the end of its economical life. Plenty of cups and plates for our party of 2, fast internet, large closet and dresser, supplied mix of chairs and umbrellas. Outside The pool was clean, the deck was clean, the furniture is good condition.. Overall i think this was an incredible value, and will be back. Extra points for the understanding of management during a huricane evacuation and handling it well.

Older property but very well maintained and across street from beach

Relatively small complex - 32 rooms I think. Our unit was 2 BR on second floor looking across street from public parking lot for Lido Beach. Unit was updated and very clean. TV's were a little small, but you're not supposed to watch TV at the beach anyway. It would have been nice to have a patio; we moved some chairs to walkway outside front door to watch the beach and sunset. That worked because there were few people in the complex; it may not work during a busier time. Bedrooms and living room were plenty big. Exterior of complex was very clean and well maintained. Pavers on pool deck looked brand new and pool had been recently re-finished. Vicki was great to work with; called me shortly after we made reservation and I texted her with a question while we were there and she responded within seconds. .

The good point if this condo is that right across the street is lido beach. We came into town for the boat races and checked into condo we received one key. I then had to ask the office for another key and for some directions of how to checkout what was required. The condo itself is old but nice. When we went to make breakfast the next morning the cooking supplies are VERY limited. There was not even a frying pan for our eggs !!! Very disappointing because we wanted to do a lot of cooking at our unit for meals. We paid extra for the holiday weekend stay and 2 days into our stay the toilet was constantly running making noise along with the noises of the outdated window units making noises. We were exhausted from the noises and barely got any sleep . Then the pipe under the sink was leaking so finally getting frustrated the owner came out and fixed the toilet . He then said he couldn't fix the kitchen sink and would call a Plummer. No Plummer showed.... We were so frustrated because we paid good money and checked out earlier due to the situation.. I really feel like we should get a partial refund . When you rent a condo and pay good money why would you not have a fry pan and why would you not fix a sink for your renters? If you want close to the beach this is your place to stay otherwise look else where!! ReBecca

We appreciate you bringing a few things to our attention. We try our very best to make sure all our guest enjoy there stay and come back to us again. We will make sure to leave check-out instructions in the unit. We constantly check the unit as well as cleaning staff make sure the units are in full supply of all items guests require and were unaware some kitchen supplies for cooking were missing we have taken care of that. The office has maintenance people to take care of usual items that come up from time to time. It was a holiday weekend when we were informed that the toilet was acting up and the pipe under the kitchen sink was leaking. We immediately called 3 plumbers but being Sunday July 3rd no one was responding. We communicated this with the tenants and they were very nice and understanding. We were able to take care of the toilet issue right away but regarding the sink issue we were at the mercy of a plumber who showed up the next morning on July 4th and replaced the leaky pipe. We are local and try to live up to our guest expectations regarding repairs or issues they may have because we sincerely respect our guests vacation time.

Excellent location

This property was across the street from a public beach access. The pool was awesome! The apartment was clean but dated, no dishwasher, bring quarters for communal washer and dryer. The mattress for the king size bed was to soft. We enjoyed our stay and plan to visit again! Also, this property is with in walking distance to St. Armands circle.

Location, location, location!

The best thing about this condo is where it is...which is right across the street from Lido Key beach. A short walk, and you are strolling through Saint Armands Circle. For us though, the condo itself was just "ok". It is sadly very old and needs a thorough cleaning and a lot of updates. The furniture in the living room is so old and gross looking, that we never sat on it for the entire stay. The fridge is rusting and the light inside never stays on. Many lights didn't work. Counter tops are sticky and no matter how much you clean them it never goes away. Some of the burners on the stove don't work. Living room ac doesn't work unless you wiggle the plug! A little scary! Bedrooms ac is SO LOUD it will disturb your sleep. Bed is ok, but kind of uncomfortable. Bathroom tub paint is peeling. It was advertised as having beach chairs etc...but most of it is broken! We did manage to find 2 chairs that worked and an umbrella, which was great...but owner should really go in there and get rid of all the crap and broken items. There were linens and towels and that was very helpful..but the closet where they are stored stinks. Smells like mildew or like a closet where the items stored there has been there for years and not cleaned. They should supply a couple of trash bags...a person on vacation should not have to go buy a whole box of bags just to be able to empty trash. The pool and pool area where great! Very clean. Grills were old, but at least they worked. Cuddos to the man who cleans that outside gates. It is really sad to see a condo like this. A good cleaning, coat of paint and updating this place would go a long way to making this somewhere people would want to stay at again. We loved the location but would not stay at this condo again.

The apartment 209 was dated with a few upgrades it would be nice. The bathroom sink did not a have a stopper in it! The tub floor was bubbled! Not a good bed! There was no toilet paper in the place when we arrived!! It was a very convenient location but I think I would check other apartments in this property before going with this one The one saving Grace the pool area!!! Nice clean pool!!! A+ to their pool man!!

Disappointing!

The sofa bed was terrible! Both to sleep on and to even sit on! Shame on the owner for not replacing it! As a result, we had to sleep on the hard floor. The people below complained about our walking in the unit, it needs rugs! Disappointing!

The property was dirty when we arrived. Had to wait 2 hours for a mediocre cleaning job to be done. One extra roll of TP for the week. Not enough! Great location but I would not stay here again or recommend.

The room was nice, but a bit dated. Could use a few updates. AC units, plumbing (toilet), kitchen countertop in sink area. Beach chairs were not meant for adults. Maybe check out that hall closet of beach stuff and get rid of some things. Definitely need better beach chairs, at least. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Great location, nice people and we liked the quiet, peaceful atmosphere at the Lido Dorset. We would definitely return!

Great location

The property is older and is in need of remodeling. But for the price, you can’t beat the location. Directly across the street from the beach and a 10 minute walk to shops and restaurants.
