Bruce was great. Very clean! Caught some fish in the lake and enjoyed all the things Northern Michigan has to offer! Great location. 20 min to Lake Michigan in 3 directions.

We loved this one-open-room cabin in the woods! It was the perfect spot for us to do bike rides around the trails of Michigan. We sat on the dock every morning with our coffee--so peaceful. And in the evenings we sat there again. Bruce was a great host. He always replied quickly to our texts and was very accommodating. The cabin was great for just the 2 of us. My friend took the bed on one side of the room and I took a bed on the other--so even in an open floor plan, we had our own space. Lots of room to work in the kitchen. We initially thought the apartment-size refrigerator might not work for us--but it was plenty for our few days there. We were just 25 mins from Traverse City and not far from so many scenic and beautiful spots. We hope to make it back!

Exceptionally clean and the perfect size for me, my husband, and two kids age 19 and 22. Amenities were great. We used the kitchen quite a bit - the essentials are all there but if you plan on cooking a lot, bring your own knives. (Not a complaint - I don’t blame the owners for not keeping nice knives there!) We made breakfast each morning, packed lunches and made most dinners - there’s a gas grill with utensils. I appreciated the stock of k-cups with the Keurig, Plenty of towels including beach towels.They had games there, a TV you can cast Netflix to, WiFi. We fished off the dock (catch and release) and the location was in nice proximity of all sorts of activities - biking, kayaking, shopping, restaurants, the beach and of course the big climbable dune. The only thing we expected but wasn’t available was the fire pit - it was full of debris and an animal was nesting in there so we didn’t want to torch the poor critter’s home.Lovely place to visit and friendly, responsive hosts. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Wonderful carriage house. Conveniently located so perfect home-base for exploring northern Michigan. Loved sitting on the dock for enjoying morning coffee. Very peaceful for recharging after our daily adventures on the Peninsula.

Great Location

We enjoyed staying at this cabin! The location was close to everything! The cabin was immaculate and the refrigerator was larger than we had anticipated. Thanks to Bruce for a nice stay!

Best trip ever!

My friends and I stayed in Empire for three nights and had the best experience. The cabin was very clean and nicely decorated. Bruce was also an amazing host and made us all feel at home. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful stay in Empire.

Girls getaway week

We stayed for 3 nights and couldn't have been happier. Bruce, the host, was very helpful and readily available. The cabin is beautiful and very centrally located, yet private and secluded at the same time. We would love to come back again. Wonderful trip for sure!

Great stay!

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. The grounds were immaculate, and the setting very peaceful. Great location with an east drive to the dunes, several hikes, beaches and Empire, Glen Arbor and Traverse City. We met Bruce, the owner, one morning and he was very friendly and gave us suggestions for hiking, restaurants and beaches. Would highly recommend!

It was a nice quiet cottage located up north.

The cottage was very nice and it had a great view overlooking a small lake. A nice quiet cottage off the beaten path. We would definitely recommend to future travelers who want to experience an "up north adventure.

Comfy/Cozy A-Frame Log Cabin

This is a perfect place if you like the woods, rolling hills, gorgeous sunrises and sunsets, beautiful small towns with quaint shops & restaurants, etc. This cabin is sizeable, perfect for 2 to 4 people. Very clean, nicely decorated, comfortable (& great TV/sound system), good location, everything we wanted. Thanks Bruce & Luna -- we love your place!

Better in person!

This cabin was even better than the pictures online. 15-20 minutes from Dunes and shopping/restaurants. It rained one day on our trip, and this cabin provided us with a relaxing and comfortable place to chill.

Wonderful property!

We booked Bruce’s cabin for a trip to celebrate my daughter’s 16th Birthday. It was very comfortable and well appointed. We loved the dock for coffee in the morning and fishing in the evening. The best part though was watching his Labrador do zoomies around the property. Thanks for a great stay!

Just beautiful!

Absolutely loved our five days at the cabin. It sits on a beautiful piece of property and Bruce couldn't have been more of a gracious host. The cabin has everything you need and then some. Looking forward to renting the cabin in the future. As my family and I just loved the area in and around the Sleeping Bear Dunes. Thanks again.
