We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the cottage. It is clean and provides the basics for a nice stay. The view of Glen Lake from our place was lovely and we really enjoyed the cozy, little screened in porch! I think this size cottage is better suited for one or two people but you could certainly fit three or four if you really like each other! We have vacationed in this area for decades and would definitely consider this little location again, while enjoying one of our favorite spots on the planet!

The facility is well-maintained: cabins are clean and cozy, fire pit well stocked, plenty of water craft/toys to uses and enjoy and the grounds are also nicely-mowed and maintained. The evenings were chilly this year-- so the newer electric heaters were much appreciated!

Stunning

It was perfect. From the beautiful view from our living room of the lake, to the firpit lake side, to the kayaks, paddle boards, canoes and boats, we didnt want to leave! We will definitely be back.

Perfect view of Glen Lake and beautiful Fall Colors. Looks like it would be a sweet spot to stay in the Summer also. Very clean, easy access, close to anywhere you would want to drive for all of the sweet spots of Up North!

A great location for our family of four to swim, visit sights and other beaches too, and enjoy the national lakeshore. We enjoyed meeting other guests and chatting with coffee in the morning, or s'more around the campfire on star-filled nights. Quiet, peaceful-- and a chilly night made us appreciate the cabin heater!

Nice location, right by the lake. Great if you want a peaceful vacation. Cabin is good too, only downside is the lack of AC, it gets very hot and cleaning crew being hour late to leave on arrival. Otherwise we had no issues and would reccomend this stay to others

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Informed management of potential bedbugs in the home, beds very itchy. We slept on the floor, but we were told it was just wood ticks. No AC in home, so it does get very hot. And cleaning crew was still cleaning when we arrived, took over an hour past our check in time to finish cleaning. Barely got done, rushed job and we were waiting to check in after a 5 hour long drive. But overall, a nice stay in a good location by the lake. If you don't mind these few factors you're going to love it here. Everything else was great

We've been coming back to Brookhaven 2 with our family for about 13 years and it's always been delightful. The kids enjoy time on boats on both lakes, we love our morning lakeside coffee and evening sunset drinks by the shore... Add a cozy campfire, star-gazing and the soft sound of the waves at night. A great location and a perfect base for adventures around the area, too!We appreciated the well-kept condition of the cottage-- stocked with plates, flatware and supplies as described. Towels were fresh, bathrooms spotless, fridge and kitchen clean as well-- and ice was made! All appliances functioned well-- including the newer gas range and the heating unit (we did have one chilly night, appreciated the extra blankets too!). A lamp in the twin bedroom didn't light-- so maybe needs repair?-- but that's all that seemed amiss.We'll be back!

Visit Up North continues to provide excellent customer service too! Before my arrival, the Team verified that I received my access information and encouraged me to reach out with any questions or concerns. I did have one small maintenance issue: A corner of the screen on my porch came out. The Team ensured that it was quickly and correctly repaired. (That made my day because I was enjoying using the porch!).The cabin itself is 'no frills' but it is clean, comfortable and well-maintained. The photos are accurate and the location is convenient for exploring Sleeping Bear Dunes, Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive, the shops and restaurants in Glen Arbor and so much more. Big Glen Lake is crystal clear and the private lake shore is just the right depth for all ages to enjoy. One note: on the private portion of the shore, the floor of the lake is a bit rocky. It doesn't bother me but some people might prefer to wear water shoes.Brookhaven is a great place to share time with family and friends. It is close enough to explore new things yet far enough to avoid traffic and crowds while bonding with your peeps.

Our family has been coming here over a decade-- a great growing-up experience for our kids! Each remembers their first kayaking trips, paddling into Brooks Lake to see the herons, otters, and turtles, the bonfires, making s'mores and chatting with other families, the stars-- and Northern Lights over the lake at night. We love all there is for us to do and what a lovely place to just not do anything this is. The upgrades are appreciated too!

Nice place later in the summer

This is a genuine lakeshore cabin with a 1950’s feel. Small but comfortable with great access to Lake Glen. Lots of construction happening for first day and half so quite noisy but got more peaceful after work was done. Seems we were the first guest of the summer and they weren’t quite ready for us. Host was helpful with suggestions of places to go and things to do. Had a great hike among the dunes.

Very tiny shower, barely manageable. Very quaint and small, but quite nice, old school for sure. Beautiful setting on the water with gorgeous views.
