What a beautiful location! The condo is totally as described. It was clean, comfortable and had EVERYTHING you'd need. There are nice glasses, plenty of dishes, sharp knives, great All-Clad pots and pans. Towels were fluffy. Beach towels, chairs and cooler were great to have. There isn't a washer/dryer in unit, so we brought enough to last the week we were there. The sunrises are unbeatable. And sunset? Just grab your chairs and a cocktail and walk on the other side of the building. Snorkeling? Right outside, on the right or the left. There were a ton of turtles every day, that you see when you snorkeled, or just looking right outside the window. Would recommend this condo, and we would definitely stay here again.

Our condo was on the 3rd floor which gave us a beautiful ocean view. The condo was clean and had all the amenities we could want. We especially enjoyed the beach chairs, umbrella and cooler which were included. (A nice surprise). John was especially responsive with questions or concerns and took care of it immediately. We had no issues with parking, there was always a spot available. The condo is within walking or a short drive to beaches and dining. We will certainly come again.Although there is air conditioning we enjoyed the breeze that came in by opening all the windows.

Absolutely wonderful condo at Kuhio Shores! Exactly like the listing and super comfortable! The host was so kind when we needed an early check in. The AC works well through the whole house which is incredibly helpful! The view faces the sunrise and the turtles play in the ocean waves all day. The road is close by but only noticed a few times. Kitchen setup was great. Bathroom very clean! Short walk to baby beach or the snack truck and for romantic sunsets the Beach House restaurant. Also parakeets sleep in the palms! Easy parking lot. Couldn't hear the neighbors at all!

The location is 50 stars. It was so nice to just watch the water and our two turtle buddies. Kitchen is really well-outfitted including basic staple products. Great host, great place - book it!

Wow! What a wonderful stay! The unit is exactly as described. It’s extremely clean and the perfect about of space for 2 people. Probably one of the most well appointed rentals I’ve ever been in. And the knives were sharp! The owner is very responsive and ready to help make your stay comfortable and convenient. I couldn’t have asked for a better location. Once it gets dark the area is so quiet! We slept well! Restaurants, shopping, and a little market were within a few minutes drive. We could watch turtles in the little bay right out on the balcony. The sunsets were spectacular and unique every night. The staff we encountered were so friendly and personable. We didn’t want to leave! We look forward to returning in the not-too-distant future.

The condo is just as listed. We enjoyed our time here. The morning sunrises are peaceful. The best was the full end to end rainbow on our last day.

Kauai vacation

My husband and I stayed at this property for four nights. It is a great place to kick back and relax. The building was very clean and quiet.We had a slight problem upon check in but it was resolved quickly. The owner was very responsive in taking care of the issue and treated us to dinner for the inconvenience. The condo was very clean. The kitchen well appointed with modern appliances, cookery and dishes. The best feature is the location. We enjoyed coffee on the terrace while watching the sunrise on the water. On the opposite side of the building you can watch the spectacular sunsets. The Beach House restaurant is within walking distance and a great place for sunset dinner/cocktails.We took advantage of the beach chairs, umbrella and towels that were provide. We mostly went to Poipu Beach. You can snorkel, surf and swim there. We spotted several sea turtles and seals there too.There are some small shopping centers (3 within 2 miles) with restaurants, shops and a couple of small grocery stores. The larger grocery store are approx 15-20 drive from there.I would recommend staying here if you’d like to relax, kick back and enjoy a beautiful view!

Poipu Condo

Kuhio Shores complex was older and less maintained than we had hoped. Condominium itself had recently updated kitchen that had everything needed for a stay which was nice. Balcony overlooked inlet on one side and busy road to the left. Easy check in process and owner had great communication. Upon arrival noticed couch and loveseat were quite stained and dirty looking- owner responded assuring he would put that on list to get cleaned .There was an insect issue- notified owner and he said he would pass on for additional services . Overall this wasn’t the area/ place we think we will be returning to- we enjoy the North shore more. We did however appreciate owners timely responses.

Nice Poipu setting

This compact condo provided a nice setting for exploring Poipu. The condo was well appointed and immaculate, but very compact-- the bedroom was a particularly snug. The unit is located on the end of the building, with a view of a busy street as well as a cute inlet, so at times the traffic noise was louder than the ocean noise. The unit faces east, so we enjoyed breakfast watching the sunrise on the lanai. A quick walk to the beach nearby also allowed us to watch beautiful sunsets. We enjoyed the next door restaurant- the Beach House. The property had easy parking and was close to a grocery store and other shopping. We enjoyed hiking the Heritage Trail and visiting Poipu beach to see the sea turtles. The owner was fairly responsive, although we experienced some with delays due to his travel. Overall, we would rate this a 4.5.

Ocean front condo

My adult son and daughter in law stayed at this property. The location is amazing! Amenities, cleanliness, comfort all excellent. Would definitely recommend for a stay on Kauai!

Our Second Stay

We had another wonderful stay at this beautiful place. Mahalo for sharing it with us. The redone kitchen looks great, and we appreciate the use of the beach chairs, umbrella, etc. Lots of time was also spent relaxing on the patio and watching the turtles swim by. It was a lovely place to be for Christmas.

Exceptional Condo with Fabulous Views

We enjoyed this nicely furnished condo with everything visitors could want during their stay. The open concept living/dining/kitchen area was perfect for two persons, and the bed was comfortable. What we enjoyed the most was the great view facing east, so beautiful sunrises were a treat. A sunset view is a two-minute walk to the west side of the building. The third floor location was ideal - we could watch sea turtles and wild parakeets every day! A parking tip - do not park under the trees if possible, as birds congregate nightly to roost and your car will be a mess! We highly recommend this condo unit - communication with the owner was excellent.

Enjoyable stay.

The unit was clean and modern with excellent supplies to enhance the visit. The view was superb. The ad is very accurate. Some hassles with the condo association regarding parking permits thst required two trips to rental manager to obtain permits.

We like Kuhio Shores because of the full East Ocean View enjoyed from inside the condo and while relaxing on the over-sized Lanai. The grounds of the complex are immaculate.
The location on the sunny southern side of Kauai, right near all the best beaches, make it a perfect choice. We strive to consistently exceed our guests expectations, working to achieve the same level of hospitality that we ourselves expect every time we vacation. When you enjoy your stay please tell your friends and visit us again.

Kuhio Shores is unique among oceanfront properties in its proximity to the ocean, which is quite literally, less than 50 feet away. The sound of the surf and the trade winds waft through the condo when the lanai doors are open. Our aim is for our guests to find just about everything they would want to have in their own Island Paradise home, from gourmet cooking equipment and supplies to copious linens and personal care supplies. Staying at our condo comes with the added benefit of discounted car rental reserved exclusively for our guests. There is an additional charge for the rental car.

We stay in our condo several months a year and we will welcome you into our condo in just the same way we love to arrive when we visit.
