Ubicado en el lujoso edificio de gran altura "La Playa" en el complejo Coronado Shores, ubicado justo al lado del icónico Hotel Del Coronado. Esta unidad está a seis pisos del nivel del suelo en el 4to piso (en la parte superior de 2 pisos de estacionamiento). El punto de vista desde el interior del condominio te hace sentir como si estuvieras en la playa. Esta unidad cuenta con fantásticas vistas de agua blanca, agua azul, playa, bahía y puerto deportivo. Está literalmente a 100 yardas de la arena. Observe el oleaje, la playa y las palmeras que se balancean suavemente desde la sala de estar, el comedor, la cocina, el dormitorio secundario y el dormitorio principal. Debido a su ubicación en la esquina y orientación en el edificio, sopla la fresca brisa del océano. ¡Disfrute de amaneceres diarios sobre Glorietta Bay & Marina o vea espectaculares puestas de sol en el océano desde el área de retiro principal, balcón o simplemente dentro de la unidad! ¡Vida de lujo SoCal en su máxima expresión!

Contacted the host several times during our stay, he was alway very cordial and helpful in addressing our questions or concerns. The location and the unit were just what we were hoping for. Really enjoyed all of the military activities and walks on beach. We had an excellent stay!

Wonderful winter getaway

The views cannot be best. Steps to the beach which was uncrowned in June. The owner is very responsive. Brought more wine glasses when we asked. Bedrooms are very nicely furnished and beds are good. A little high to climb into for seniors. The Shores has 3 pools, a Beach club with nightly events. There is a free bus in Coronado in summer. No need to drive. We enjoyed our month a great deal.

Perfect!

This is an elegant condo with an unbeatable view in all directions. You can see the ocean and Glorietta Bay from the living room, one guest bedroom overlooks the bay, and the master suite and the other guest bedroom overlook the ocean. Fall asleep to the sound of waves! The windows open wide to let in the breezes. The beds and bedding are high quality and very comfortable, and the condo is beautifully decorated. The building staff is very friendly and helpful and Ed is a great landlord: responsive and kind. The location--within walking distance of the beach, downtown and great restaurants--can't be beat. This lovely condo is an incredible value. Our month here was a stay we will always remember.

Location, location, location!!

This condo is located in a spectacular area of Coronado Island. Literally next-door to the del Coronado Hotel, and walking distance to all of the restaurants on Orange Avenue. We had such a wonderful time. We actually extended our stay for an additional week. Great area for dogs, they are welcome throughout Coronado Island. The Coronado beach dog park is walking distance from the unit and a fabulous place to take your furry friends in the morning. Also, dogs are welcome throughout Coronado Island, at restaurants and in the complex. The complex itself is extremely clean with multiple pools, Pickleball courts, tennis courts and a gym. But, who needs a gym when there is miles of ocean front walking available right out your front door. The unit needs a little love but nothing insurmountable! I would definitely recommend

There was loud construction going on above us for about 1-2 weeks. Made the condo unusable during the day. If we had known we would not have rented. The building HOA needs a system to communicate to be honest with renters. We wasted 5k. The condo itself was fantastic!

The condo is in a great location, just minutes from the beach. Great views looking out the windows of the ocean, ships, and the bay. Just a few little notes: short on coffee mugs, very dull knives, uncomfortable dining room side chairs ( the seat was worn out) . It would be nice to have a tv in each of the bedrooms.

Beautiful condo, gorgeous location

This vacation rental is every bit as beautiful as it looks in the photos and is described in the listing. The location simply couldn't be more ideal, right next to the Hotel del Coronado. We loved the stunning, 10-minute walk along the oceanfront the many restaurants and shops downtown. There is so much to see and do in Coronado and this condo is in the heart of it. Twice during our stay we were able to see fireworks displays at the Hotel, and they were magnificent. We watched the Navy Seals train, we saw pods of dolphins swim by, we tracked the ships passing by or anchored offshore, and we marveled at the variety of the Navy aircraft flying into the Naval Air Station. DO NOT forget your binoculars!! The condo itself is exceptionally well laid-out, so that each bedroom area has significant privacy and quiet -- a real benefit because we had relatives and friends coming in and out to stay with us. In fact, the entire complex is exceptionally well-constructed, well-maintained, and professionally staffed: The landscaping is lush and well cared for; the building lobby is lovely; the pools are all supplied with ample chairs, umbrellas, tables, and grills (which are cleaned by the staff at least daily so they're always ready for use!) I’m sensitive to noise so I always look for that in reviews. Although the building itself is extremely quiet and we never heard our neighbors, noise coming from the outside can be significant. There’s currently construction at the adjacent part of the Hotel del Coronado, which can be noisy but that’s a temporary, short-term situation. The military aircraft can be extremely loud, but we loved seeing them and the sound we heard from them was worth it. The Silver Strand generates surprisingly loud traffic noise. That said, it wasn't a problem for us or any of our guests – in large part because the beds are some of the most comfortable beds any of us have ever slept in. Finally, I have to mention how responsive and gracious the owner, Ed, is. We had a couple of questions during our stay and he was immediately responsive. Thank you, Ed!

Beyond our expectations

It is as described and pictured. Everything is in good condition. The beds are very comfortable. The hot water is immediately available. The showers are great. What more could you want? There is more--fantastic views of the ocean, fabulous front-row seats for amazing sunsets over Point Loma, the excitement of seeing the seals (Navy Seals) swimming several hundred yards from the development, cruise ships, carriers coming into port, submarines going out to sea, regattas in front of us and it goes on an on. Oh, I haven't mentioned the town of Coronado--what a treat with its beautiful homes, small stores, good restaurants, and the Del Coronado. And of course, there is San Diego about which you can read in other places. Finally, the Coronado Shores community offers pools (quiet and active), tennis courts, entertainment on the weekends, and much more. My wife and I could not have been more pleased with the location, the condo, and the weather (we missed several snows back home). We had guests and our daughter and her family (including a 5 and 7 years old) visit us for several days during. The accommodations were more than adequate. The kitchen is very adequate with one thing common to most vacations rentals--dull knives that want hold their edge even when sharpened. Additionally, the host was most responsive to any questions or issues that arose. As you can tell, we could not be more pleased with our choice.

Coronado Condo

Coronado is heaven on earth. This condo is well equipped and provides a perfect home away from home. The views from this unit are spectacular and the beach is jus a minute walk away. We thoroughly enjoyed our month in this beautiful place.

Great Trip

Our stay in Coronado was great! The views of the apartment were fantastic and the location cannot be beat. Even with COVID, most amenities were available to us (Tennis, Pool) which we took advantage of extensively. Ed was incredibly responsive. Overall, I can highly recommend this rental.

Fabulous Views and Comfortable

Very easy to get checked in and depart. The apartment is wonderful and the building management was very attentive to COVID procedures. The majority of the tenants also follow guidelines for COVID procedures that the HOA implemented. All in a great month!

Paradise in Every Way

I spent 4 weeks at Ed's property in November. From the time I booked the apartment, Ed was very easy to communicate with. The condo was near perfect. The location could not be better. A short walk to the beach and a short walk into town. The views from the condo are perfection. You don't really need to leave the condo to watch sunrise or sunset, although I highly recommend walking on the beach for both! The condo is well equipped, and the furnishings are very welcoming and comfortable. It's been a dream of mine for a very long time to spend a month in Coronado, and now that I've done it, we are planning on doing it yearly! Thanks for a great stay, Ed!

My family has stayed at Coronado Shores many times. This condo at La Playa was by far the best! The beds were extremely comfortable and the space was beautifully decorated!
