Bowmore Lodge is mainly our second home that we rent out occasionally. It is truly stunning. My wife and I fell in love with the Lakes when we came to stay with friends and immediately decided to buy a house there. Bowmore Lodge is also a show home for my wife who is a successful interior designer who has completed over 10 houses at the Lakes, so it's important it's always in top condition. One thing is for sure Bowmore Lodge is not your typical rental property!

We have 4 bedrooms, 3 doubles, 2 of which are en suite. A kids bunk room that can sleep 3. A TV /Cinema room, that can be converted also into a double bedroom. A large living and dining room (seating 10, 12 at a squeeze). A large wood burning fireplace. Sonos music system, Sky and Apple TV in both the living room and TV room, a 100sq.m terrace with comfortable outdoor furniture... and much much more.

A perfect retreat overlooking the finest British countryside, this is a haven for anybody that is looking to really detach themselves from the hustle and bustle of their busy lives whilst experiencing Britain's finest.

You can swim in the swimming pool at the community centre between 1pm and 6pm (the time was determined by the residents’ association) - they charge an induction fee per family for showing you around the sports facilities there and providing fobs for the lockers. The water is very warm between 29 and 30 degrees and generally is suitable even for very small children. The Spa offers massages, and a full range of beauty treatments and we can also organize a masseuse to come to the house.

You can hire bicycles to tour the estate or explore the stunning Coln River.

Local pubs within short driving distance include The Swan in Southrop is one of our favorites, or The 5 Alls in Flikin, or if you want a cozy pub in a tiny village, the there's the Plough in Kelmscott, all using local produce. The best coffee in Gloucestershire is served by Lynwood Cafe in Lechlade our local village, and they also have have amazing sourdough bread. Onsite, there's Elsa's restaurant in the tee-pee by the spa, but we recommend booking as it can get quite busy.

We're in the heart of the Cotswolds, with so many stunning villages around for exploring.
