Bachelor Weekend Trip

The property was perfect for the groomsmen & I to enjoy our stay at deep creek & have a place to hang out as well! We apologize for not putting the linens on the ground or collecting the toilet paper we purchased, but overall the experience was perfect for us! Thank you Taylor-made for an all around great trip!

Not Clean but Nice House

The house was a great layout to sleep 8 people comfortably, any more than that would have been tight or had people sleeping on couches. The house wasn't a complete mess but it definitely was not the cleanest. The main surfaces like counters and tables were wiped but every window sill was covered in dust and spiderwebs as well as the baseboards, and corners of the walls and floors. The bathroom counters looked clean from a distance but once you moved stuff sitting on them you found a bunch of dead bugs and dust. There was also a lot of garbage and debris under the bathroom vanities. The showers are glass and have not been deep cleaned in a very long time, you can see it in the heavy amounts of soap scum on them. These things did not make the house unlivable but are things you expect when you pay a lot of money to stay somewhere. The lack of cleanliness did not impede our fun, and overall we had a positive experience. Except for the bugs and spiders. Not sure if they need pest control or to clean more throughly but the amount of large spiders we encountered (dead and alive) is insane. One of my friends even woke up with one crawling in bed with her. Probably would not stay at this house again due to having stayed near deep creek many times and this being the first unclean experience. There are many other houses in the area that we had a way better experience at.

Bugs inside the house , lack of appropriate AC

The inside of the house was very nice but there were so many bugs in every room when we arrived. Definitely needs a pest control visit. The house we stayed in there was no central AC and the window ac units were way undersized to cool the house, especially on the second floor. Bed sheets were not clean, one bed appeared to have a blood stain.

Review

The first day there was trouble with the cable but they tried to get it resolved quickly. Unfortunately we had to wait for a Comcast technician to come out the next afternoon. The house description claimed a bathroom with a whirlpool tub but there wasn’t one. There were cigarette butts around the property upon arrival.

Great Getaway For Friends and Kids

The house had plenty of space for my husband, me, my 7-month old, our friends and their 14 month old. Lots of space and close to everything. We really enjoyed hanging out in the basement after the kids went to bed. I would definitely stay here again!

Great stay!

Place was great! Lots of space for two adults and 5 teenagers. Neighbor complained about the noise before 11pm, which is when quiet hours started. Outside of that things were perfect.

Great Girls Weekend

We had a great stay at this property, it was very clean and had everything we needed. The property is secluded but still close to several restaurants and also the lake. We enjoyed using the assigned dock slip and rented a boat and enjoyed the beautiful weather.

Labor Day weekend stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Hello! First i would like to say that the house was super clean when arrived. There were 10 of us staying at the house and on the first night we were enjoying the hot tub and drinking with some music playing from the basement .. we received 3 voice complaints the next morning... quiet hours are from 11-8 . But we weren’t having a banger party we were all just in the hot tub outside and around the fire .. house is super close to other properties If you want more privacy maybe don’t choose this house. The Saturday morning a maintained crew member came to tell us about the complaints and did a walk through to make sure we didn’t bust holes in the wall... personally that was kinda rude what because were all 25 year olds we disrespect everything?! Also we all wanted to go to our dock slip and hang out by the water it was extremely hot plus the no central air in the house didn’t help.. so we all went to the Mountainview marina only to find out the cedar wood house or ditez name was no where to be found.. and the ppl at the marina have never heard of them.... what if we wold have brought our boat?! We would have had no where to put it.. that was a huge disappointment because that was one of the plus side of us booking that house . But all in all. The house held us all and that what we needed.

We were fortunate with beautiful fall weather, so we enjoyed the porch and outdoor amenities including the hot tub and fire pit in the evening. The only downfall is the minimal yard space - we were hoping to utilize our yard games, but didn't have much space. The porch, however, is very nice, just a very wooded lot with beautiful views.

Also, Saturday morning checkout was 10 am. We were directed to take the garbage to the community dumpster which we did about 9:15. In the pouring rain, there was no opening to put the garbage in it and the door was locked on it. We then went back to the house to load up our luggage and the code for the door didn't work. It was approx 9:30. Thank god my son stayed back to let us in.

To be honest to instead of having two queen size bed in the loft, it would have been nice to have one in the basement especially if you have only couples there just to give them some privacy. My only issue would be as I turned my cover back the bed had a lot of hair in it (I have OCD) other than that we enjoyed our self.

We loved the hot tub and management was great. There are a couple of improvements needed. The pool table sticks are in awful condition and there is no point playing with no sticks. The basement smell like mold and got people sick staying down too long. Overall we loved the house.

2/10 Horrible

Misleading, Musty, and Miserable

Our stay in this rental was more than disappointing. To start, when we arrived the rental was no where near clean. There were spider webs in the windows and the entire basement smelled of must (which eliminated the use of the pool table). In addition to that the master bed broke in the middle of the night, it had clearly been fixed multiple times because there were screws up the entire running board. Next, the first morning of our stay we had the joy of experiencing a Comcast service call, where 3 workers from Comcast showed up and blocked our way out to fix the cable and tvs (something we did not ask for). Not to mention the window AC units had a half inch of dust/must on them the bedrooms reeked of mold causing allergic reactions in three of those staying. I do NOT recommend renting this home, it was such a disappointment and a horrible experience.
